Belgian band Soulwax, in a later life known as the Flying Dewaele Brothers. Much against everyone's advice, from the 1998 album of the same name. Soulwax's key members are the brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, from Ghent, in the province of East Flanders.

I have always felt that if The Scabs, who originated in 1982 in Diest (central Belgian province of Flemish Brabant), had had just somewhat more balls, just somewhat more talent, and a good marketing machine behind 'em, they could have made it beyond Belgium. Hard Times from the album Royalty in Exile (1990), possibly their best album, is a good song, easy to the ear:
