If President Bush nominates a man for the Supreme Court he is a typical chauvinist, insensitive to women.
If he nominates a woman or a black "person of color" or a hispanic he is simply pandering racially.
Unless he picks Maya Angelou or Mumia Abu-Jamal he Just Doesn't Get It(TM).

I would just like to express my outrage regarding the fact that Bush is nominating a lifetime appointee to the Supreme Court, one of the most powerful positions in this country, and all we hear is "what are his views on abortion." News flash: There are more important things going on in the world than Roe v. Wade. I wish all the people on both sides who are all up in arms over abortion would get some damned perspective. It burns me to no end that this is a national level issue. I'm moderately pro choice, but I'd like to see Roe v. Wade overturned for the simple reason that it would become a state level issue and we wouldn't have this in the center of every debate regarding federal officials. Next we'll be turning down nominees for Secretary of Defense because 20 years ago they might have said something to piss off some side of the abortion debate.
