“Apunten! (aim)” yelled the unnerved firing squad leader the following morning April 18, 1961 …

“Listos! (ready)…………..

…….“Viva Cristo Rey!” (“Long Love Christ the King!”) suddenly yelled Alberto Tapia shortly interrupting the murder process and greatly unnerving the murderers.

“Fuego!!!” (Fire!) finally yelled the furious executioner.

A deafening blast and Soviet bullets ripped apart the head and torso of yet another young Cuban martyr. Albert Tapia was barely 21 years old, typical age for most of Castro and Che’s murder victims.

“The defiant yells (“Viva Cristo Rey!”—“Viva Cuba Libre!”-“Abajo Comunismo!”) from the bound and staked martyrs “would make the walls of La Cabana prison tremble!” wrote eyewitness to the slaughter, Armando Valladares, who suffered 22 torture-filled years in Castro’s prisons and was later appointed by Ronald Reagan as U.S. ambassador to U.N Human Rights Commission.

Given their valiant defiance even during their last seconds alive, by mid 1961 the mere binding and blindfolding of Castro and Che’s young murder victims wasn’t enough. The fine folks who hosted Pope Francis’ in Cuba this week then began ordering that the Catholic youths also be gagged. The shaken firing-squads demanded it. The yells were badly unnerving the trigger-pullers, you see.

So now, as the fine folks who hosted Pope Francis’ in Cuba this week yanked the young Catholic heroes from the cells, bent their arms back, and bound their hands, two more Communist guards came into play. One grabbed the struggling victim’s hair and jerked his head back, trying to steady him. The other taped his mouth shut.

Raul Castro (who hosted the Pope at last week’s Havana Mass) and Che Guevara (whose visage formed the backdrop for the Mass) were the most notorious executioners during the early years of the Cuban Revolution. The orders, of course, all issued from Fidel Castro, who Pope Francis went out of his way to visit and smilingly hob-nob with after the Mass, profusely thanking him for his efforts towards “world peace,” (I am NOT making this up!)




“I am not Christ or a philanthropist,” wrote Che Guevara in a letter to his mother. “I am all the contrary of a Christ--In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm.”

As mentioned: an enormous image of Che Guevara formed the backdrop to Pope Francis’ Mass in Havana last week.

Castro’s KGB and STASI- tutored regime prepared for the Pope’s visit carefully. Any unsightly protests would obviously mar the occasion, especially for a regime long-accustomed to preening in front of the international media mirror. So Cuban dissidents (especially Catholic ones) were rounded up en-masse by Castro’s KGB-trained police, often brutally.

"The facts and figures are irrefutable. No one will any longer be able to claim ignorance or uncertainty about the criminal nature of Communism," wrote the New York Times (no less!) about The Black Book of Communism. This “irrefutable” study on Communism’s crimes was edited by the head of France’s National Centre for Scientific Research, Stephane Courtois (not exactly an embittered dispossessed Cuban exile) and translated into English by Harvard University Press (not exactly a subsidiary of the John Birch Society.)

This impeccably high-brow scholarly study found that Castro and Guevara’s firing squads murdered between 15 and 17 thousand Cubans, the equivalent, given the U.S. population, of almost one million executions. Some more perspective: the UN, (the same United Nations that proudly features Cuba on its Human Rights Council, by the way) charged former Serbian dictator Slodoban Milosevic with “genocide” for ordering 8000 executions.

And far from any of the repentance the Catholic Church supposedly requires for forgiveness, the Castro brothers have always doubled--and even tripled-down--on their gloating for those thousands of murders, historically denouncing the young victims as “CIA mercenaries!” and “terrorists!”

None of this has prevented the Castro regime from receiving the most papal visits recently of any Latin America nation, equaling the number of papal visits to Brazil, with a population of 200 million, 130 million of them declared Catholics. In contrast, Cuba has a population of 11 million, only a tiny fraction of which are practicing Catholics. Someone’s got some serious “‘splainin” to do for this Papal fetish of constantly visiting Stalinist Cuba and chumming around with her Stalinist rulers.

Interestingly, more Popes (three) have recently visited Cuba–a nation with many more crypto-voodooists (Santeros) than Catholics– than have visited Mexico(with 97 million Catholics.) Hello? Andas Joan Rivers used to ask: “Can we talk?” (about this glaring and –for many—disgusting incongruity.)

For many of us, the Papal motivation for visiting Cuba seems no different from Beyonce’s, Conan O’Brien’s, Jack Nicholson’s, Oliver Stone’s, Sean Penn’s, etc. The Popes get plenty of press and get to poke Uncle Sam in the eye. In this respect, they seem no different from all those loud-mouthed, Castro-hugging celebrity popinjays."

"Pope Francis has created political controversy, both inside and outside the Catholic Church, by blaming capitalism for many of the problems of the poor. We can no doubt expect more of the same during his visit to the United States.

Pope Francis is part of a larger trend of the rise of the political left among Catholic intellectuals. He is, in a sense, the culmination of that trend.

There has long been a political left among Catholics, as among other Americans. Often they were part of the pragmatic left, as in the many old Irish-run, big city political machines that dispensed benefits to the poor in exchange for their votes, as somewhat romantically depicted in the movie classic, "The Last Hurrah."

But there has also been a more ideological left. Where the Communists had their official newspaper, "The Daily Worker," there was also "The Catholic Worker" published by Dorothy Day.

A landmark in the evolution of the ideological left among Catholics was a publication in the 1980s, by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, titled "Pastoral Letter on Catholic Social Teaching and the U.S. Economy."

Although this publication was said to be based on Catholic teachings, one of its principal contributors, Archbishop Rembert Weakland, said: "I think we should be up front and say that really we took this from the Enlightenment era."

The specifics of the Bishops' Pastoral Letter reflect far more of the secular Enlightenment of the 18th century than of Catholic traditions. Archbishop Weakland admitted that such an Enlightenment figure as Thomas Paine "is now coming back through a strange channel."

Strange indeed. Paine rejected the teachings of "any church that I know of," including "the Roman church." He said: "My own mind is my own church." Nor was Paine unusual among the leading figures of the 18th century Enlightenment.

To base social or moral principles on the philosophy of the 18th century Enlightenment, and then call the result "Catholic teachings" suggests something like bait-and-switch advertising.

But, putting aside religious or philosophical questions, we have more than two centuries of historical evidence of what has actually happened as the ideas of people like those Enlightenment figures were put into practice in the real world -- beginning with the French Revolution and its disastrous aftermath.

Both the authors of the Bishops' Pastoral Letter in the 1980s, and Pope Francis today, blithely throw around the phrase "the poor," and blame poverty on what other people are doing or not doing to or for "the poor."

Any serious look at the history of human beings over the millennia shows that the species began in poverty. It is not poverty, but prosperity, that needs explaining. Poverty is automatic, but prosperity requires many things -- none of which is equally distributed around the world or even within a given society.




Geographic settings are radically different, both among nations and within nations. So are demographic differences, with some nations and groups having a median age over 40 and others having a median age under 20. This means that some groups have several times as much adult work experience as others. Cultures are also radically different in many ways.

As distinguished economic historian David S. Landes put it, "The world has never been a level playing field." But which has a better track record of helping the less fortunate -- fighting for a bigger slice of the economic pie, or producing a bigger pie?

In 1900, only 3 percent of American homes had electric lights but more than 99 percent had them before the end of the century. Infant mortality rates were 165 per thousand in 1900 and 7 per thousand by 1997. By 2001, most Americans living below the official poverty line had central air conditioning, a motor vehicle, cable television with multiple TV sets, and other amenities."

And then come the killer quotes:

"A scholar specializing in the study of Latin America said that the official poverty level in the United States is the upper middle class in Mexico. The much criticized market economy of the United States has done far more for the poor than the ideology of the left.

Pope Francis' own native Argentina was once among the leading economies of the world, before it was ruined by the kind of ideological notions he is now promoting around the world."

Pope Francis ought to know that there still is not definitive proof of MMGW - actually, evidence to the contrary is growing.

By contrast, there is AMPLE proof that his flock is being persecuted day in, day out.

I've been waiting since June to affirm it, but I guess since Laudatio Si Pope Francis has even more gone out of his way to embrace characteristical points of faith of the leftist church. And I think the last time I heard him address Christian persecution was in July - without identifying the culprit of course, just saying that today's church is a 'church of martyrs'. Big deal. I'm sorry, but Pope Francis lost me. Pontiffs who abandon their flock are unworthy of Saint Peter's Seat.

EGYPT: TOP IMAM MUHAMMAD AL-AYED TELLS AUDIENCE REFUGEES WILL ISLAMIZE EUROPE.

"A top Iman has told Muslims to use the migrant crisis to breed with European citizens and 'conquer their countries'. Sheikh Muhammad Ayed gave the speech at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem claiming Europe was only welcoming refugees as a new source of labour.

He said Europe was facing a demographic disaster and urged Muslims to have children with westerners so they could 'trample them underfoot, Allah willing.'




'Throughout Europe, all the hearts are enthused with hatred toward Muslims. They wish that we were dead, but they have lost their fertility, so they look for fertility in our midst,' Infowars reports. 'We will give them fertility. We will breed children with them, because we shall conquer their countries.'

In the full video, he said Americans, Italians, Germans and the French will be forced to take refugees. Italy has the lowest birth rate since 1861 with 8.4 per 1,000 people and much or Europe is following the same trend.

Birth rates are far higher in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa, which is where most migrants are coming from. The notion of using mass migration as a form of stealth jihad is outlined in the Koran, which states, 'And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance.'

To move to a new land in order to bring Islam is considered a meritorious act."

First off, Mrs. Pickles should be lauded for calling a spade a spade in an MSM outlet (but then The Daily Mail is, at least compared to what passes for decent news reporting in my country, or Germany's notorious "Luegenpresse", surprisingly honest).

Second, it is worth noting that this sheikh in all likelihood has a point. I do suspect Chancellor Merkel is under pressure from Germany's captains of industry to import cheap labor on a massive scale.

Employers should side with rightwing issues all the time since by nature they are rightwing. But as Alfred S. Regnery writes in Upstream. The Ascendance of American Conservatism, they will sometimes betray their philosophy for quick gains.

Germany's industry chiefs should muster the basic intellect to acknowledge that although in the short term, their labor needs may be addressed by, indeed, the best among the refugees (give and take perhaps 150,000 among the 800,000 that are poised to enter Germany this year), in the long term their grand plans for Deutschlands Industrie will scheiter because German society itself will crumble under the import of islam-inherent pathologies that made the countries where the refugees come from economic basket cases.

Indeed, if society goes under because we import 7th-century lifestyles here, so will purchasing power go down and with it consumer demand for goods from the factories. If Rule of Law goes down so will the ability of police to protect these very factories. And of course if education levels go down (as is already very apparent in muslim-dominated schools in Germany), so will ultimately the innovative spirit go down, needed to design new consumer goods.

This is all in the "long" term, but what is long? In my own country, muslims immigrants, demographically "starting from scratch", so to speak, to reach a level of 6 to 7% of the population now, are already causing massive mayhem in all sorts of fields. All over the country e.g., they depend so heavily on welfare that the OCMW's/CPAS's cannot cope anymore, leading city and town authorities to pay the bill, pushing said cities and town in debt. I do not want to think of what my country will look like when it's 20, 30 or 40 per cent muslim. It will become a hellhole too.

And just like in Egypt, Syria or Yemen the demand for new shiny Mercedeses is at an all time low, courtesy islam itself, in our countries too the number of takers for the fancy goods German industry is so proud of will dry up. Except among terrorist chiefs and drug dealers of course.

CULTURAL ENRICHMENT IN DENMARK: 15-YEAR OLD TEEN LISA BORCH AND BOYFRIEND BAKHTIAR MOHAMMED ABDULLA MURDER GIRL'S MOTHER AFTER WATCHING ISIS BEHEADING VIDEOS.

This got a little coverage in Europe, but I fear not so much across the pond, and prolly nothing whatsoever elsewhere. So I though I might help spreading the story a little.

"A blonde Danish teenager who murdered her mother after watching ISIS' sickening filmed beheadings of British hostages has been jailed along with her older jihadi lover.

Lisa Borch was aged only 15 when in October last year she spent hours on YouTube watching footage of the savage decapitations of David Haines and Alan Henning. Afterwards she and her radical Muslim boyfriend Bakhtiar Mohammed Abdulla, 29, took a long-bladed kitchen knife and stabbed her mother Tina Römer Holtegaard at least 20 times at the home they hared in rural Kvissel.

A court which sentenced Borch to nine years in jail heard how she became obsessed with militant Islam after falling in love with an unnamed Muslim man. But he jilted her when he moved back to Sweden to be with his wife and children.

Nevertheless she found a new soulmate in Iraq-born Abdulla, whom she befriended after meeting at a refugee centre near her home.




Following the brutal murder, in which both Borch and Abdulla participated, the teenager called police claiming: 'I heard my mother scream and I looked out the window and saw a white man running away. Please come here, there is blood everywhere.' On arrival police found Mrs Holtegaard, whose husband was away on a short business trip at the time of her murder, covered in her own blood in bed. Despite making the frantic phone call, the victim's daughter was discovered sitting on a chair in the living room playing with her iPhone and watching videos on YouTube. When police asked where her mother was, Borch refused to leave her computer and simply pointed upstairs.

A later police examination of the computer showed that she had watched endless repeats of the beheadings of the two Britons, both of whom had gone to Syria on humanitarian missions.

'She watched them the whole evening long,' said prosecutors at her trial. When police first arrived at the house she didn't leave the computer and merely pointed upstairs to indicate where her mother lay dead. It was this apparent disinterest which made her prime suspect in a matter of minutes. The court heard that Borch's twin sister had recently moved out of the family home because she couldn't stand the constant arguing that went on between her mother and sister.

Prosecutors said it was this 'endless rowing which cost the mother her life.'

The court was told that Borch had teamed up with Abdulla after being dumped by her first lover. The two planned to flee together to Syria and fight for the ISIS cause.
Borch claimed at the trial that they were 'just good friends' but authorities believe they were lovers.

The rows with her mother intensified as she pressured her daughter to break off her relationship with him and 'live the life of a normal teenager.' Prosecutor Karina Skou told the court that the pair made a diabolical pact to kill her mother saying: 'This murder was cold blooded, ice cold and committed in a bestial manner.'Borch even showed her twin sister the knife she planned to use to kill their mother, but the comment was incorrectly written off a macabre joke.




In court Borch and Abdulla blamed one another for the killing of Mrs Holtegaard. He claimed to have only arrived to 'help Lisa' after the teenager had already killed her mother. But Borch said Abdulla had actually been the knifeman.

The muddled version of events meant the court heard several stories about what actually happened. Although Abdulla was no longer at the property when police arrived, investigators found his fingerprints in the victim's bedroom.

Although it couldn't be established who'd actually delivered the blows that killed Mrs Holtegaard, both of the accused were found guilty of murder. Borch was sentenced to nine years in prison, the first of which will be spent in a youth offenders institute. Abdulla received 13 years and will be expelled from Denmark when his sentence is up. Both were ordered to pay around £40,000 in compensation to Mrs. Holtergaard's husband - Borch's stepfather - as well as her twin sister and a younger brother. Borch's twin was in court to see her sister sentenced but did not look at her during the trial."

So she "found a new soulmate in Iraq-born Abdulla, whom she befriended after meeting at a refugee centre near her home."

TAQQIYAH IN TRALEE, IRELAND. A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE.

Against the background of Europe's catastrophic "refugee" crisis, the following story, already more than a month old, may seem but a petty thing, yet these stories on the periphery of the huge conundrum of Europe's relentless islamization should not be missed. Because much can be learned from them.

Tralee is the county town of County Kerry in southwestern Ireland, at the neck of the Dingle Peninsula. As a sidenote, you might want to visit that peninsula, it's beautiful. Don't miss the Blasket Islands, Connor Pass, the town of Dingle, Gallarus Oratory... but, yeah, back to the issue at hand:

"KERRY MUSLIM GROUP HITS BACK AT CRITICISM OF MOSQUE.


Chairperson of the Kerry Islamic Outreach Society, Dr. Rizwan Khan, has spoken out about the Irish attitude toward Islam following the actions of an anti-Mosque group in Tralee, Co. Kerry last week.

In early July, the Irish branch of PEGIDA (“Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West,”established in Germany in 2014) handed out anti-Islam flyers in Tralee town center protesting the development of a new mosque in the Killerisk area of Tralee.

Dr. Khan has since spoken to Tralee Today about the protests and the online petition established by the anti-Islam group.

“Even though it was about something anti-Islamic, we were happy with the response,” he told them. “We have to see what is happening here in Tralee and what was important was that most of the people from the town were supportive.”

“Those people [making negative comments] are not getting their knowledge of Islam from first hand experience and so makes them stereotype. We believe that Muslims have to take some responsibility, so that’s why we do an information stall twice a month in The Square, where people can talk to us about any clarification,” he continued.

“Many people have approached us to talk about Islam, they ask us questions about ISIS, Boko Haram and many acts of terrorism and we give them a very straightforward answer; that those groups do not belong to Muslims at all.”

The proposed development was lodged with Kerry County Council last April, on behalf of Kerry Islamic Cultural Centre, which wishes to move from their current mosque and establish a new one on a 2.24 acre site in a business park at Killerisk.

Last week, the decision on whether to grant planning permission was delayed over the question of whether a call to prayer would be used once the mosque was in use. The current proposal includes a 75 foot tall minaret attached to the building from which calls to prayer are usually sounded.

“The call to prayer has been an issue raised, but nobody has said because there is a minaret the call to prayer is going to happen,” Dr. Khan told Tralee Today.

“There is not a chance it will happen because the neighbors’ rights are our utmost priority in Islam. The mosque is moving [from the entrance to Fortfield estate on the Killerisk road] only for one reason: because it is in housing estate. Where it is moving to, is an industrial estate.”

A member of the Irish branch of PEGIDA, which has filed no official complaint with the county council according to the Irish Times, outlined their anti-Islamic sentiment on Radio Kerry last week, as well as the group’s intention to establish a new Irish political party: “The Celtic People’s Party of Ireland.”

“Islam is taking over, all over the world,” he told the radio station. “When they become the dominant religion [in an area] they impose their own laws on people. This has happened in France where there are Muslim-only areas and this has happened in England as well where Sharia law is enforced.”

One of the primary concerns of “The Celtic People’s Party of Ireland” appears to be the influx of people into Ireland in recent years.

Their website states that “at the current rate of influx, we Celtic people will be in a minority in our own homeland by the year 2050. This is nothing less than deliberate population displacement – a crime against humanity according to the UN Genocide Convention.”

The group hold these views despite the fact that the Irish government believes that 2017 will be the first year since 2009 that more people will move into Ireland than leave. By 2017 thousands of Irish people will have moved to various other countries around the world in the same manner as those currently moving to our shores.

Tralee Today reports that, according to the 2011 census figures, Kerry has the fourth largest number of Muslim residents in Ireland with 833 Muslims living in Tralee town itself and over 1,500 living throughout the county.

It is unknown how many members the Irish branch of PEGIDA has. When questioned by Radio Kerry, the PEGIDA member declined to give an exact figure saying, “We have a quite a large membership and we want to keep it secret for now before we get bigger.”

Once registered as a political party, “The Celtic People’s Party of Ireland” – described on their website as a political organization committed to promoting and preserving our Celtic culture and people – plans to run in local and general elections. Their main party policies are outlined as: the abolition of water charges, road tolls, property tax; the reintroduction of the Irish pound (alongside the Euro); a ban on pornography and a ban on the promotion of homosexuality. Despite this, their website also states: “We believe in equal rights for all the Peoples of mankind.”

This is the second time permission has been sought for the relocation of the mosque in Tralee. A previous submission was refused last year over traffic concerns around the industrial site, which is bound by houses and just a short distance from Kerry General Hospital, the Manor shopping center and Kerry County Council. This current submission includes a full traffic study on the traffic in the area and Islamic prayer times."

This story is a perfect illustration of the concept of taqqiyah. Notice how reconciling, soothing even, Dr. Khan's tone is. How very different from the behaviour of, say, those muslims in France's no go areas.

The reason is simple. In Tralee, muslims still constitue a small minority.




Muslims in Tralee are currently in the stage on top.

Echo and Narcissus, a 1903 work by John William Waterhouse, who was essentially a late Pre-Raphaelite but with impressionist influences. It's a depiction of a scene from the Roman poet Ovid's poem of the same title, as featured in Ovid's Metamorphoses. Echo was a nymph who, because she chatted incessantly, was punished by a goddess with a curse compelling her to repeat the words of others. She fell in love with Narcissus, the very handsome son of the River God Cephisus and the nymph Liriope, and tried to get his attention by repeating Narcissus' words. He declined her advances however, and as he passed a stream, he fell in love with his own reflection. As he thought it was a nymph, he in vain courted his own image until he wasted away from starvation and unrequited love, transforming in the flower that bears his name. As for Echo, she too pined away until all that remained was her voice.

MUSLIM SOLIDARITY AT ITS FINEST: MUSLIM GANGS FROM MOLENBEEK AND ANDERLECHT STEAL AID DESTINED FOR SYRIANS SHELTERING IN TENT CAMPS IN NORTHERN BRUSSELS.

For some two weeks now, scores of Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans et al have been taking shelter in improvised tent camps in the Maxiliaanpark, a park in Brussel's Noordwijk, waiting for their asylum applications to be processed in the nearby offices of the Dienst Vreemdelingzaken.

It did not take long for gullible and clueless do-gooders from all over the country to storm to Brussels to hand out food, beverages and sanitary articles.

Problem is, the Maximiliaanpark is just near Molenbeek, now 80% muslim thanks to relentless soft ethnic cleansing.

Watch what happens when said idiots arrive, eager to feel good for the day for being so morally superior to, uh, racist xenophobic islamophobes like me:




Got that? Molenbeek is 500m from the Maximilaanpark and HOME TO 75,000 MUSLIMS!!!

No aid from that quarter is forthcoming for the hapless wreckage from the wonderful islamic world.

By contrast, Klaas, Piet, Pol, Mieke, Dirk and Tanja have stocked their Volkswagens, Renaults, Peugeots and Hyundais choke full of cookies, sweets, canned food, toilet paper, softdrinks and personal hygiene products and come from places as far away as West Flanders and Limburg...

... only to have their precious aid being transferred to the trunks of waiting cars belonging to Belgium's perfectly assimilated muslim population.

IN MEMORIAM WELLES REMY CROWTHER (1977-2001).

Via CNN's America Remembers:

"Welles Remy Crowther was born the oldest of three children, displaying his fearlessness, spirit and selflessness early and often growing up in the New York's northern suburbs, his parents say.

He doted on his two younger sisters and followed his father Jefferson's lead, always carrying a bandanna in his back pocket (Welles preferred red, his father blue) and joining him as a volunteer firefighter as a teenager.

A star student and lacrosse player at Boston College, Crowther joined Sandler O'Neil and Partners after graduation, settling into his office on the South Tower's 104th floor.

While he loved his job, Welles told his dad that he really wanted to join the FDNY -- or possibly the CIA or FBI -- so he wouldn't be stuck behind a desk and would be able to help others.

But that's where he was, behind his desk, on the morning of September 11. He made one final call to Allison from his office at 9:12 a.m., minutes after his tower was struck, leaving a brief, calm message saying, "Mom, this is Welles. I want you to know that I'm OK."

That call was all the Crowthers knew about their son's final moments until police knocked on their door last March.

Allison said the New York medical examiner's office told them Welles' body had been found intact, with no signs of burns, alongside firefighters and emergency workers then running a command center in the South Tower's lobby.





Authorities speculated, according to Allison, that Welles was aiding the rescue effort as a civilian usher when he died, suddenly and painlessly, when the building fell.

An official from the medical examiner's office told CNN the office does not release information on the condition and whereabouts of Trade Center victims, adding that relatives are welcome to share such details with the media.

"We took great peace in knowing that [Welles] didn't suffer and that, up until the end, he was being very courageous, doing what he wanted to do," said Allison.

"So he must have felt very fulfilled that day, knowing he was helping others."

'I wouldn't have made it'

Judy Wein was working for the insurance firm AON Corp. right below Welles, on the 103rd floor, when American Airlines Flight 11 hit the adjacent North Tower. Ignoring an announcement telling her building's occupants to stay put, she began heading downstairs.

Ling Young, in her 86th floor office of New York's Department of Taxation and Finance, took an elevator to the 78th floor sky lobby. She was waiting there to board an express elevator to the street when the United jet tore through the floor, sending a rush of flames and debris that knocked her to the ground.

When she got up and cleared the blood -- her blood -- from her glasses, Young saw "nobody -- almost everyone was dead." She and a few survivors huddled, waiting for help.

After several grueling minutes, Welles popped onto the floor and made his remarks. Badly burned, Young and her fellow survivors obediently followed Welles, who was carrying a young black woman on his back.

He dropped off the woman some 15 floors later and headed back upstairs, according to Young, saying that more people needed assistance.

When he returned the 78th floor, Wein was waiting in pain, the impact having broken her arm, cracked her ribs and punctured a lung.

Welles, now wearing his favorite red bandanna over his nose and mouth, burst into the room and, as he had with Young's group, loudly and calmly directed people to the stairs. This time, Welles went his own way as Wein headed down.

"If he hadn't come back, I wouldn't have made it," said Wein. "People can live 100 years and not have the compassion, the wherewithal to do what he did."

A day of action begets a legacy

As fall rolled into winter and 2002 began, the two women still couldn't get the image out of their heads.

Wein said she'd go on the Internet and cover up the noses and mouths of those in the towers, hoping to identify the man in the red bandana.

Young said Welles' face would pop into her head several times a day, because "he is the one who actually saved me from the start."

The pieces all came together late last spring. Allison talked with Wein on the phone, then met with Young days later. One early summer Sunday, both women and their families went to the Crowthers' house for a picnic.

While they're recovering from their physical injuries, both say the pure, powerful connection with the Crowthers has expedited their psychological recovery.

"It does help me put myself in a lot more peaceful mind than I used to be, especially now meeting his family, who are like our extended family," said Young. "It really helped me tremendously, and helped me heal a little bit more, at least mentally."

For the Crowthers, the details of Welles' final minutes reaffirmed their belief in his kindness and courage.

And they are committed to making sure his life, and death, were not in vain.

Jeff Crowther hopes his son's story will inspire people to become a volunteer firefighter, to give money to the homeless every day like Welles did, to set goals and follow through.

"If Welles' story helps people to think of others then God bless them, God bless him," said his father.

"He didn't live long enough to be head of a corporation or do good works or endow a museum. But what he did on September 11, that's his legacy."

"Saudi Arabia has offered to build 200 mosques in Germany to accommodate the wave of Muslim refugees there if German authorities permit, according to media reports Thursday. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans and other asylum seekers from countries in North Africa and the Middle East have sought refuge in Europe in recent months.

The Lebanese newspaper Ad-Diyar first reported the offer last week, citing a request by a committee of sheikhs. Saudi Arabia also vowed to donate at least $200 million, according to the Lebanese paper, although whether that was to support the refugees or to build the suggested mosques was unclear."




The proposal comes amid growing accusations of hypocrisy directed toward the wealthy gulf nation and its neighbors for taking in few, if any, refugees from the ongoing four-year civil war in Syria, even as they funnel support to groups fighting there. In 2014, Saudi Arabia accepted just 561 refugees and 100 asylum seekers, according to the United Nations, the Wall Street Journal reported. Fewer still found refuge in Qatar and Bahrain. Germany, by contrast, has said it will accept 800,000 refugees, and countries bordering Syria--Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey--have officially taken in hundreds of thousands of refugees each...

EUROPE'S REFUGEE CRISIS, AND WHY IT IS NECESSARY TO CLOSE OUR BORDERS AND LET THE MUSLIM WORLD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS PROBLEMS .

Clarice Feldman's "Western Civilization: the final frontier", over at American Thinker, is a must-read:

The president has just rewritten ObamaCare regulations to now require insurers cover (very expensive) transgender operations.

These coverage provisions -- instead of the major medical coverage for serious illnesses most of us would prefer were we given a choice -- continue to drive up the cost of mandatory medical insurance.(Maryland’s Care First, for example, just announced an up to 26% rate increase.)

At the same time Britain’s NHS (one of the left’s hallowed models of a single-payer plan) is denying efficacious cancer medications to those who need it on the grounds the medication is too expensive. Should the tacked-on mandatory coverage provisions increase here, we can either deposit all our GNP into covering healthcare costs or watch as the less politically connected sufferers die of treatable ailments. Money really doesn’t grow on trees.

Just maybe if a then-Democrat Congress had asked themselves whether the people they represent wanted cancer treatment coverage or pills for Flukes and sex-change operations, their choice would have been different.

Fiscal lunacy on the part of government is nothing new. Neither is corruption as the unfolding Hillary email scandal underlines.

What is particularly appalling about the ill-informed Western elites is how their policies are practically ensuring the end of Western Civilization. They refuse to acknowledge the need for border security --sovereignty -- and allow, if not encourage the wholesale influx of third-world immigrants (who do not wish to assimilate) into states with generous welfare policies.

This week’s heart tug was the picture of a young drowned child whose Syrian family had tried to sail from Turkey to Greece to escape the mayhem there. Understandably, it hurt. But the crisis was created in no small part by the administration’s grandiose notions of an Arab Spring, a notion that has destabilized the entire Middle East. It was exacerbated by the dimwit policies of a largely borderless Europe addicted to multiculturalism and generous welfare schemes.

An article on Declinations.com by a man of Armenian descent whose own family history includes ruthless Turkish genocide, sets it forth clearly:



- But back to the central point, why, then, if America sheltered my family, must the West turn back the refugees of Syria, of Somalia, of Libya?

- Because they bring the source of infection with them. Armenians had managed, through some strength I sometimes find difficult to fully grasp, to hang on to their European culture and Christian religion through millennia of conflict with Islam. They had stubbornly resisted assimilation into Islam and its ideals. These refugees, for all that my heart yearns to give them sanctuary and a place to escape to, nonetheless carry Islam with them.

- There are good Muslims in the world, and I want to make this clear. My own family lived only because an Ottoman official warned my great-grandfather that genocide was coming. Not one of the rich Gulf States has offered to take in a single Syrian refugee. The U.S., which already spends one billion dollars a year on refugee resettlement and countless more in welfare benefits, is being asked to take in more of these refugees. This would further burden those already at the bottom of the labor market.

Either the West turns them away or it ceases to exist. It’s that simple. The EU and the U.S. had the chance to fight on foreign soil or accept an invasion of their own lands, and chose poorly. Their choice now is to refuse social welfare benefits, scratch multiculturalism, and require assimilation instead of kowtowing to demands for disparate treatment, or die.

This result is not one unforeseen. Over four decades ago, this development was foreseen among others by Jean Raspail, a French author, of The Camp of the Saints, a novel of Europe being overrun by refugees from the Third World. The left’s favorite hate group designator, the Southern Poverty Law Center, attacked the author, the book, and its publishers. “The book is a racist fantasy about an invasion of France and the white Western world by a fleet of starving, dark-skinned refugees, "a haunting and prophetic vision,"SPLC says, "of Western Civilization overrun by a burgeoning Third World population."

Some fantasy. At the moment about 300,000 immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa have poured into Europe:

More than 300,000 people have crossed into Europe by sea -- most of them from Libya to Italy or from Turkey to Greece -- and 2,600 have died in the attempt. Thirty to 40 drowned Friday after a boat carrying more than 120 Somalis, Sudanese and Nigerians deflated off the coast of Libya.

The migrants who manage to get to Greece must then begin a difficult trek across Macedonia and Serbia before sneaking into Hungary in hopes of getting, eventually, to preferred destinations like Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands, which are prosperous, offer the chance for jobs and have been more welcoming than other nation..."

Perhaps no better example of the spineless, deluded and morally corrupt Euro "elites" can be found than the Belgian leader of the liberal ALDE fraction in the European Parliament, Guy Verhofstadt. On September 3, following the appearance of the photos of the drowned boy Aylan, De Standaard quoted him as follows: "Wat een falen van Europa". ("How Europe is failing"). "We are still not capable to find a fitting answer to this drama":




We have met this shameless attention whore, this gravedigger of Europe's future, before. I do not recall it anymore, but in the past I may have mentioned that Verhofstadt in 2004, while then still Belgian PM, was instrumental in avoiding every mention of God or Europe's Judeo-Christian traditions in the European Constitution. He was punished nicely because his insistence to leave Christianity out probably cost him the job of President of the European Commission:




Verhofstadt was also the man who some ten years back objected to calls from the opposition to send more troops to help secure Afghanistan, stating: "We zijn daar al massaal aanwezig", meaning "We are already present there in massive numbers". At the time, there were a mere... 600 Belgian troops dispersed from North to South afghanistan, but with so many caveats regarding their deployment they could just as well have been stationed on the North Sea. There were also four to six F-16's operating from Kandahar, but they were under strict orders NOT TO USE THEIR WEAPONS (to be sure, nothing more could be expected with a hardcore Parti Socialiste hack, André Flahaut, as Minister of Defense). So much for "being massively present" - Mr Verhofstadt has made a career out of juggling words.


But perhaps his most loathsome moment came when, following his tenure as chairman of a parliamentary enquiry mission investigating the deaths of some ten Belgian para peacekeepers in Rwanda in 1994, he flew to that country in 2000 to adress a number of Rwandese officials, including then-president Paul Kagame.




Verhofstadt.... offered his excuses for the Rwandan genocide! The transcript above reads: "In the name of my people I bow my head for the victims..."



"... of the genocide. And in the name of my people I ask therefore for forgiveness."

In all likelihood, Paul Kagame may actually have been strongly involved in the plot to down the plane of Rwanda's president in 1994, Cyprien Habyarimana - which was in fact the event that triggered the genocide. In any case, the evidence supporting this thesis, brought forward by amongst others French investigating magistrate Jean-Louis Brugière, was strong enough to cause serious tensions between Paris and Kigali in 2006, resulting in the temporary severing of diplomatic ties.

But the main point however, is that we see here a prime example of liberal white guilt.

We did not kill 800,000 Rwandans.

Westerners did not kill 800,000 Rwandans.

It was RWANDANS who killed 800,000 Rwandans.

We must STOP taking responsibility for the irresponsibility of other races, faiths, and cultures.


A message that anno 2015 is however still completely lost to this asshat Guy Verhofstadt, who, as we have seen:


* blocked the inclusion of a mere reference to Christianity in the European Constitution ...
* refused to send extra Belgian troops to Afghanistan to help our Allies, ...
* three years back enthusiastically lauded the election of what should be a natural political enemy, the socialist François Hollande, as president of France ...
* asked for forgiveness for close to a million Rwandans butchering themselves ...


TODAY, this asshat asks AGAIN that we should take responsibility for the mayhem others cause to themselves, in this case resulting in a tsunami of refugees from muslim countries invading Europe! He is claiming loud and clear "that Europe has failed"!!!

NO Mr. Verhofstadt, Europe has not failed. At least not in this matter.

The ISLAMIC WORLD has failed. ISLAM has failed. Islam as a SOCIETAL MODEL has failed, and CONTINUES to fail, in a grotesque and grandiose manner.

We cannot be held anymore responsible for the in islam inherent pathologies leading to muslim countries being constantly in conflict, and constantly ruining the lives of their inhabitants, than that we can be held responsible for ebb and flow.

It is NOT OUR FAULT, and IT IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY.

It may sound harsh, but the only sensible thing Europe can do is shield off its borders and HALT the refugees there. That's No. 1. The second thing to do is hold muslim countries responsible for their own mayhem. And urging the super rich Gulf states and KSA to take them in would be the most logical thing to take the refugees out of the immediate danger zones, but don't count on the lunatics à la Verhofstadt to even contemplate the idea.

Importing millions of muslims fleeing the carnage for which their belief system is directly responsible, is sheer and utter madness, and will, and this can be stated with mathematical certainty, ultimately lead to Europe's own violent and bloody demise.

Over at American Thinker Claudia Rosett's Forbes piece offers a telling comparison between the 1994 “Agreed Framework” with North Korea and 2015's “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” with Iran:

"With Congress due to vote by Sept. 17 on the Iran nuclear deal, there’s a warning worth revisiting. It goes like this: The president is pushing a historic nuclear agreement, saying it will stop a terror-sponsoring tyranny from getting nuclear weapons. And up pipes the democratically elected leader of one of America’s closest allies, to say this nuclear deal is mortal folly. He warns that it is filled with concessions more likely to sustain and embolden the nuclear-weapons-seeking despotism than to disarm it.

This critic has more incentive than most to weigh the full implications of the deal, because his country is most immediately in harm’s way — though it has not been included in the nuclear talks. He notes that the nuclear negotiators have sidelined such glaring issues as human rights, and warns that Washington is naive, and the U.S. is allowing itself to be manipulated by a ruthless dictatorship.

No, the critic I’m referring to is not Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, though he has warned of precisely such dangers in the Iran nuclear deal. I am citing the warnings voiced 21 years ago by the then-President of South Korea, Kim Young Sam, as the Clinton administration bargained its way toward the 1994 nuclear deal with North Korea known as the Agreed Framework.

As it turned out, Kim Young Sam’s misgivings were right on target. The 1994 Agreed Framework did not stop North Korea’s pursuit of the bomb. Instead, it became a pit stop on North Korea’s road to the nuclear arsenal it is amassing today.

Kim warned that the deal was “a half-baked compromise” that would “prolong the life of the North Korean government and send the wrong signal to its leaders.” It would result in “more danger and peril,” not less.

President Clinton ignored the warning. Signing the deal, brokered by Jimmy Carter, he claimed that it was “good for the United States, good for our allies, and good for the entire world.” It was “a crucial step drawing North Korea into the global community.”

That isn’t how it worked out. Despite our forwarding $4.6 billion for two lightwater reactors and oil for heating and electricity, North Korea cheated continuously, and became a nuclear power in 2006. President Bush then promptly tried again, reopening negotiations with Pyongyang and offering more incentives. North Korea, already the biggest recipient of U.S. aid in East Asia, took the money, then broke off negotiations two years later.

When Kim Jong Il launched an ICBM over Japan in 1998, Clinton sent one Wendy Sherman, a former social worker and Democratic bundler (head of EMILY’S list) to negotiate a missile deal. She brought with her a basketball signed by Michael Jordan. Kim turned her down.



Sherman was back again in Geneva, leading the negotiations with Teheran, having learned nothing, except maybe not to offer NBA paraphernalia to the mullahs.

Of course there are important differences between the 1994 and 2015 deals. But these don’t augur well for world peace. Compared to Iran’s attitude toward Israel and the U.S., North Korea feels fraternal affection for Seoul and Washington. Compared to Tehran, Pyongyang respects human rights and international law. Above all, Stalinists don’t believe in a global jihad. What was naiveté on the part of the U.S. team in 1994 was something more malignant in 2015."

Food for thought. Or should I say Fools bought out for naught.

~The second highest peak in North America is Mount Logan in the Yukon, named after Sir William Logan, founder of the Geological Survey of Canada. When Pierre Trudeau died 15 years ago, his successor, Jean Chrétien, announced airily that Mount Logan would be renamed for the late Prime Minister. Given the number of women who got to mount Trudeau in the course of his life, having an actual Mount Trudeau seemed an oddly superfluous honor. But, in its insult to and obliteration of Sir William Logan, a Canadian of great accomplishments, it was a typically Trudeaupian act of historical vandalism.

So some of us pushed back against Chrétien's banana-republican name-change, and, unusually for the deranged Dominion, Mount Logan got to keep its name.

The only higher peak in North America was not so fortunate. On Monday, Barack Obama, by executive order, removed the name of his predecessor from Mount McKinley. It is a strange thing to do - the sort of public humiliation that in normal circumstances would accompany the revelation that the man was a pedophile or racist or some such. And it is an especially undeserved fate for William McKinley, who took a bullet for his country - back in the days before American presidents retreated behind the 40-car motorcade and no citizen could be permitted into their presence without a background check. It was a characteristically petty act for Obama, adding insult to injury, to fly to Alaska personally to strip McKinley of his mountain. I don't altogether rule out him detonating those guys off Mount Rushmore before his term's up.

~I regret while I was on The Tommy Schnurmacher Show in Montreal yesterday that I neglected to speak out against Quebec's appalling Bill 59, which gives the province's wretched "Human Rights" Commission the authority to launch "hate speech" prosecutions even when nobody's made a complaint. Jacques Frémont, the statist hack who heads the commission, has already signaled his intention to use his new powers to sue "people who would write against ...the Islamic religion".



Jacques Frémont, sharia promotor, scoundrel, traitor, creep, and soi-disant sophisticate who would be of better use shoveling horseshit in Manitoba provided he would be capable of understanding you don't hold a spade by its blade.


Screw off, creep. Free people are entitled to "write against" Islam or any other religion whatever some state commissar in a cosy and entirely unnecessary sinecure thinks. Marc Lebuis, whose invaluable Point de Bascule website seems likely to be an early target of Commissar Frémont, provides an English translation of his very thorough evidence to the National Assembly in Quebec City:

We can never repeat it enough: the role of the State is to protect the individual freedom of expression: that is the freedom of individuals to criticize ideas and NOT to protect ideas from the criticism of individuals.

Instead, the proponents of Bill 59 argue that it is necessary to throttle freedom in order to save it:

Ironically, Lebuis says, supporters justify the bill by suggesting it will protect democracy against terrorism. They reason that "terrorism is a reaction towards people who criticize their religion," he explains, "so by banning the criticism of Islam, we would end terrorism." Such arguments have been made both by Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard and by Muslim groups such as the Association of Muslims and Arabs for a Secular Quebec (AMAL).

Shame on M Couillard for adopting as his own one of Islam's most stupid arguments: If you say we're crazy and violent, we'll go bananas and kill you.

To which the Government of Quebec adds: Because Muslims go nuts at the slightest provocation, we'll ban the slightest provocation, and therefore they'll no longer need to go nuts. Good luck with that.

If this bill passes, it will become necessary for all of us to break it and render it unworkable - and to support Marc Lebuis, a rare champion of genuine liberty in a province that could use more like him and a lot fewer totalitarian toads like Frémont and Couillard. It is exhausting to have to fight the same battle over and over and over again, but I am not prepared to let the western world retreat into darkness one jurisdiction at a time. As some bloke once said, Vive le Québec libre!"

These are very, very serious times. All over the planet the Right, or what passes for it these days, has withdrawn all too willingly in a coma, and the Left has gone totally, criminally insane.

How did Yeats put it? The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.

STEMEXPRESS AND THE EIGHTH PLANNED PARENTHOOD VIDEO RELEASED BY THE CENTER FOR MEDICAL PROGRESS.

StemExpress cut ties with Planned Parenthood after the sixth video released by the Center for Medical Progress.

It's easy to see why. Here's the eighth installment thus far:




The 36-year old Cate Dyer - what's in a name - whose company StemExpress is one of the Top 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America, was named one of the “40 under 40” by Sacramento Business Journal.

But doing it the Cate Dyer way is easy - US taxpayer dough is funding her meteoric rise. Via Crisimagazine:

"...Until recently, Dyer seemed to have it all—she was able to gain a significant market share of fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood by placing her own personnel at Planned Parenthood abortion facilities to help harvest the tissue following the abortions. In fact, the only reason we even know about the scandal surrounding the sale of fetal tissue at Planned Parenthood is because Holly O’Donnell, one of Dyer’s own employees decided that she could not participate in what she found an abhorrent practice. Of course, O’Donnell was not the only connection between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood. The more important connection between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood is Dr. Ronald Berman, a 73 year-old abortion provider, and Medical Director at Planned Parenthood, Fresno, as well as Planned Parenthood Mountain View, CA. At the same time Berman was doing abortions for Planned Parenthood, he was also employed as Senior Medical Director at StemExpress doing the very abortions that are contributing to the bottom line of the company he works for. In fact, in the undercover videos, Holly O’Donnell identifies Berman as having a reputation for “going viciously fast” in his abortion and harvesting practices at Planned Parenthood.

Berman and Dyer know that there is much money to be made in the harvesting of fetal tissue. While most of the pro-life community has been focusing on the role Planned Parenthood has played in harvesting everything possible from the bodies of the aborted children in their facilities, the real money that is to be made is in the tissue procurement arena—the broker who provides the materials to the researchers. While most people know that State and Federal grants fund embryonic stem cell research at universities and research laboratories throughout the country, fewer people realize that federal grant money also funds fetal tissue research. Taxpayer money is helping to add to the tremendous financial success achieved by StemExpress. Lifesite News recently reported that U. S. taxpayers provided more than $280 million in fetal tissue research from 2011 to 2014. Much of that fetal tissue comes from abortion. Originally reported by the Associated Press, 97 organizations, received federal grants for fetal tissue research. A spokesman for St. Jude’s Research Hospital, one of the research facilities working with fetal tissue research, told LifeSite News that the fetal tissue researchers often do not know whether fetal tissue is coming from aborted babies or from babies who are miscarried..."

Exerpt from a conversation:

Dyer: As you probably know, one of the issues with neural tissue, it’s so fragile. It’s insanely fragile. And I don’t even know—I was gonna say, I know we get requests for neural, it’s the hardest thing in the world to ship.

Buyer: You do it as the whole calvarium [head].

Dyer: Yeah, that’s the easiest way. And we’ve actually had good success with that.

Buyer: Make sure the eyes are closed!

Dyer: Yeah! [laughter] Tell the lab it’s coming!

Buyer: Yeah.

Dyer: They’ll open the box, go, ”Oh God!” [laughter]
