SATURDAY NIGHT THE POLICE, THEME FROM 'THE EAGLE HAS LANDED'.

For a long time I considered Every little thing she does is magic the best number on The Police's Ghost in the Machine (1981).

Right now, I tend to think it's more Invisible Sun. Still, here's the other one.

For no apparent reason, here's the theme of the 1976 John Sturges movie The Eagle has landed. The film adapatation of Jack Higgins' bestseller novel.

Despite it being an entertaining movie, it disappointed somewhat - at least that's how it felt to me. There's something bound to screw up if you make war movies with a prodigious cast, I don't know why. And like A bridge too far, the cast was impressive: Michael Caine, Robert Duvall, Jenny Agutter, Donald Pleasence, Donald Sutherland, Treat Williams... Oh yeah, and a fella by the name of Larry Hagman.

Nite.
