Imagine my surprise when I read early this week that The Guardian ran a series on the popular music scene of your truly's Fatherland titled Sounds of Belgium. This link's list defines Belgian pop, according to Guardian editor Andrew Khan.

Our local leftist rag was quick to notice The Graudian's interest, and even quicker to come up with a 'typical' Belgian list of its own.

Any sensible person knows that whatever The Guardian writes is sheer and utter crap, and it ain't no different this time. The same goes for De Standaard, Home of Brainwashed White Selhating Junkies and Fossilized May 68 Leftovers. But why should we be surprised at their show of appalling ignorance and bad taste (the nod to Jacques Brel notwithstanding) when both commie outlets have made an olympic sport of spouting nonsense, outright lies and irrelevant trivia.

There now follows a list by Outlaw Mike of what constitutes Belgian Popular Music, and in my not so humble opinion I think that if a decent marketing machine had stood behind some of them, those might have gotten a truly fair amount of positive attention beyond the borders of La Belgique.

Just today, an estimated 15 people have been killed in attacks on Kenyan church. The attacks were carried out by muslim terrorists affiliated with the Somalia-based al-Shabab militia.



The Lame Duck Award For The Most Meaningless Statement was as usual won hands down by the White House with the following travesty: "At a time of transition, peace and stability are essential to Kenya's progress. We support those who recognize Kenya's ethnic and religious diversity as one of the country's greatest strengths."

And I'm not even talking about muslim salafist terrorists in Mali destroying Sufi shrines, or a Muslim Brotherhood nutcase elected for Prez in Egypt, courtesy that country's glorious Facebook Generation and that equally awesome Arab Spring.

Islam is the Scourge of Humanity. Sooner or later Humanity will have to destroy it, or at least reduce it to a pitiful rabble which can then be allowed to rot away in designated hellholes. I am actually pretty sure that will be the definite fate of islam, for if you look at Humanity's progress through the ages, once can only conclude it has always gone forward.

Yes, it has always gone forward. But the path taken is criscrossed and interrupted by a multitude of detours and dead ends. I am worrying not so much over Man triumphing over the gruesome aberration that is this death cult of desert apes. Man WILL triumph in the end, and islam will be remembered as we today remember the Stone Age or at the very best Gingis Khan.

It's the price to be paid before enough humans realize what islam stands for, that I'm worrying about.

Reed wrote it in 1972 and it appeared on his Transformer album, released in November of the same year. I got to know it around ten years later, courtesy my good friend John D. During the eighties, I forgot its title (!)  and, it being the pre-Internet age and me having other stuff on my mind, it faded more and more from my radar. Sometime during the nineties however it was part of the soundtrack of the movie Trainspotting, and Perfect Day made a perfect comeback. It's been in my personal Top 2,000 ever since.

Over at National Review Online, Kathryn Jean Lopez interviews John R. Lott Jr, co-author (with, admitted, Grover Norquist) of the book Debacle: Obama’s War on Jobs and Growth and What We Can Do Now to Regain Our Future.

I, Outlaw Mike, have been predicting the catastrophy that Obama would be FOR YEARS....

"...LOPEZ: “Debacle” — isn’t that a wee bit of an exaggeration?

LOTT: This recovery has been the equivalent of a “dead-cat bounce.” Thirty-five months into the recovery and the unemployment rate is still above 8 percent. But what is worse, the drop in unemployment has largely been from people giving up looking for work and leaving the labor force. People can stop being counted as unemployed either because they get a job or because they give up looking for work. Unfortunately, while 1.9 million jobs have been added during the recovery, 7.7 million more Americans are now classified as “not in the labor force.”

But are Obama’s policies responsible? That is the main issue of our book. We provide a lot of evidence on this, but compare Canada and the United States. Canadian and U.S. unemployment rates increased in lockstep from August 2008 until six months later, in February 2009, when the stimulus was passed in the United States. During those six months, the U.S. unemployment rate rose by 2.1 percentage points, from 6.1 percent to 8.2 percent, the Canadian by 1.9 percentage points, from 5.1 percent to 7 percent (using the Bureau of Labor Statistics measure to make the Canadian measure of unemployment comparable with the U.S. rate).



The graph that we have showing how much worse our economy performed after that is striking. Right after the U.S. enacted the $825 billion stimulus, the unemployment rates quickly diverged. While the U.S. unemployment rate soared, the Canadian unemployment rate leveled off and then began to fall. By contrast, today, our rate has not returned to what it was when Obama became president.

This didn’t have to be. Government doesn’t just create new spending. The money has to come from someplace. When you move spending from where you or I or companies would have spent their money to where the government thinks that the money should go, you not only move around these resources, you move around the jobs associated with them. The problem is that people don’t instantly move from one job to another. That chaos created by the stimulus temporarily increases unemployment.

Not only has the stimulus made the economy worse, it has left us with a huge debt. The publicly held U.S. federal debt was $3.4 trillion by the end of 2000, shortly before George W. Bush became president, and by the end of his tenure eight years later, it had risen to $5.8 trillion. Publicly held debt excludes the money that the government owes to itself. Today, the publicly held debt has reached about $11 trillion. Obama has almost succeeded in doubling it during just three years. For a family of four, that means their share of the federal debt went from $87,000 to $140,000. If Obama remains president for a second term, assuming no new pet projects or other changes, Obama’s own projections from this year’s budget predict that each family’s share of the debt will reach a whopping $186,000 by October 2016."

SCHOOL ORGANIZES HALAL MEAL IN SCHOTEN, BELGIUM. DEPUTY PRINCIPAL AND ROARING FOOL JACQUES GITS WANTS STUDENTS TO 'GET ACQUAINTED WITH MULTICULTURALISM'.

This morning's news again contained a typical example of the absolute, sheer and utter multiculti insanity that is reigning in Belgium's educational system. I was so taken aback that I emailed Mark Steyn, Pamela Geller and Diana West about it. While ALL OVER THE WORLD the islamic 'religion' is relentlessly prosecuting non-muslims and uncounted millions suffer from islamic tyranny, while in our very country the yoke of islamization is making itself felt in more and more neighborhoods in the great cities...

... a complete IDIOT by the name of Jacques Gits, deputy principal of a BSO school in Schoten, sees fit to organize a halal meal for a class, so that its 12 and 13-year olds can get acquainted with the wonderful muslim religion, culture and customs. Never mind thousands of girls forever maimed by acid, inroads made by islam in Myanmar, islamic terrorism at home and abroad, female genital mutilation wherever islam established a toehold, grievous suppression of females in general and gays in particular, stagnating economies and intellectual life under the green banner, killings of Copts, defamation of christian graves....

... never mind Boko Haram, thousands of Thai on the run for islam near the Malaysian border, Geert Wilders living eight years surrounded by bodyguards, one islamic terror plot uncovered after another, no go zones, tens of sharia courts in the UK, al shabaab, hamas, Iran's nuclear threat, hezbollah, .....

Never mind that! Our children SHALL AND MUST get acquainted with the wonders of multiculturalism and in particular the nice islamic custom of slaughtering animals in such a manner that they will suffer the most.

I was baffled to learn that three members of Vlaams Belang can expect to be sued for 'huisvredebreuk' (dunno the appropriate noun in English, it's like disturbing order in a private sphere) for 'invading' the premises of a secondary technical school (BSO) in Schoten, near Antwerp.

Translation of second paragraph:

Within the framework of their final year's project the students of the first year BSO (Bijzonder Secundair Onderwijs) organised a BBQ where only halal meat was served. In this manner, the school wanted the 12 and 13 year olds to get acquainted with the multicultural society. This was not liked by three militants of Vlaams Belang, who climbed over the school walls to disturb the party.
"The students were shocked by their unannounced, brutal invasion", says deputy principal Jacques Gits. They intimidated the children and forced Zwan sausages through their throats".

This is confirmed by one of the fifteen students. "They said that halal meat is not real meat and that they came to fill our stomachs after all'. The school direction meanwhile went to the police to file a complaint against the militants. According to VB frontman Filip Dewinter the three men - apart from him Tom Van Grieken and Tim Willekens - did nothing wrong. "It was meant as a joke" he says. "Schools better stop exposing children to such multicultural activities".

You can note several things:

a.) Schoolchildren are being brainwashed into thinking halal meals are hunky dory. Kind of weird in a society wherein the recipes of the autochtons are increasingly vegetarian because it's WRONG to hurt animals... except apparently when it's being done by you know who.

b.) The caption underneath the photo reads: "Filip dewinter has no qualms with harassing children". Funny, in nearby recreational domain "De Ster" last year scores of moroccan youths harassed not only children and youngsters, but they also beleagured police officers present. It was 200 'youths' against 8 police officers Mark. Note: 'De Ster' is in Sint-Niklaas, which I assume you know [Sint-Niklaas is the birthplace of Mark Steyn's mother, MFBB].

Scandal: according to the regime press the VB intimidated the children.... while Vlaams Belang is in reality PROTECTING them from multiculti insanity.

c.) Het Laatste Nieuws writes that 'one student confirmed the deputy principal's message'. One of the fifteen, not a word about the other 14.Hmmmm.

Just to sketch you the background of our wonderful multiculti society over the past two weeks Mark:

When a student in a Brussels high school collapsed following a severe attack of epilepsy, the islamic teacher witnessing it, instead of calling for an ambulance, started reciting koranic verses. The guy was promptly fired. Etcetera etcetera etcetera etcetera etcetera.

BELGIUM: TURKISH TOWN SELECTMAN SELAHATTIN OZER FOUNDING TURKISH-ONLY POLITICAL PARTY.

A Turkish Town Selectman in the eastern Belgian town of Heusden-Zolder, Selahattin Ozer, fired five years ago because of unacceptable behaviour a.o. threatening off city personnel, has founded a Turkish-only party. Via Het Belang van Limburg:

In the meantime, this is proof for the umpteenth time that muslims don't give a jolt about integration and that the islamization of our countries is acquiring a frightening dynamic.

"HEUSDEN-ZOLDER. A first in Belgium: in the upcoming municipal elections citizens of Heusden-Zolder, a town in Limburg province, will be able to cast their vote for an Turkish-only party [i.e. a party with only Turkish candidates - MFBB].

Selahattin Özer is an independent accountant. In 2006 he became town selectman for CD and V Plus, the (Christian Democratic) party of mayor Sonja Claes. Especially among (Turkish) immigrants Özer won a lot of the vote. But eleven months later Claes' party dismissed him.

'After he had threatened city personnel' says Sonja Claes. 'We could not fire him [town selectmen cannot be fired, MFBB], and because he refused to give up his mandate he kept receiving his paycheck as town selectman for five years without doing anything.'

And now Özer emerges again with an own party with only Turkish candidates. 'I always said I'd be back.' According to Özer he looked for Flemish candidates but he did not find them. 'There clearly is a need for something new in Heusden-Zolder. Among the traditional parties it's obvious the fizz is gone. We want everyone to feel good, to cooperate' he says in an interview in the daily Het Belang van Limburg.

Özer says his party will be a centrist party, not an extremist party. It will be there for everyone in Heusden-Zolder. Not only for the turkish community."

A party with only turks on it that will be there for everyone. Yeah right. Still, I'd LOVE to know what exactly the threats were this muslim scum made to Heusden-Zolder town personnel. Threats which were apparently severe enough to justify sacking you, SCOUNDREL.

A DAY OUT IN THE ARDENNES.

Well, it's not that I can afford to spend a working day hiking in Belgium's south. The following pics were shot on a Sunday two weeks ago, but for some reason I didn't get to put up a small blogpost with 'em. Anyway, back then the weather was glorious (after a truly miserable, wet and cold April), so me off southwards.

Esneux is a quaint little town some fifteen kloms south of Liège. It's worth a visit, but I came here principally because it's a good starting point for a trek along the 'Boucle de l'Ourthe', the U-turn the Ourthe river describes just north of Esneux, almost pinching itself off near the town. The high point of this walk is the Rocher aux Faucons, 'Rock of Falcons', whence you enjoy a beautiful sight on the 'Boucle'. The photo shows the view to the southwest (click on the photo to have an unhampered view):



And here's the sight towards the southeast. In the left corner you can discern the tiny village of Fêchereux, no cars allowed.

After the walk I drove about twenty kloms to the south and southwest because I definitely wanted to check out the location of a particular rock I'd been searching there for quite some time. Near the villages of Bellevaux and Ligneuville I felt I was getting hot. An adjacent valley merited a place on da blogh of yours truly:

MEMORIAL DAY 2012.

My best wishes to all true Americans on this Memorial Day.

Americans have a lot to be proud of. Not the least of that is that their country's record with regards to military operations abroad is relatively spotless - if you forget the almost inevitable war crimes committed by a very small number of individuals. Certainly, no one can accuse the US of having used its armed forces throughout its history in an imperialistic way, a few small scale operations in the nineteenth century notwithstanding. Basically all European countries e.g., at one or several instances throughout their history, sent their armies to invade either neighbouring countries or countries further away possessing goods or territory which they thought would enhance their power. Millions and millions and millions of European soldiers died serving what was in essence a brutal and oppressive cause. But... not so AMERICAN soldiers.

Indeed, the truly overwhelming majority of Americans who fell in the wars their country waged, were part of noble enterprises aimed at alleviating the needs of suppressed peoples, or downright liberating them.

Yes, hundreds of thousands of American troops perished on foreign battlefields, far from their loved ones.

But hundreds of millions live in freedom and prosperity because of that gruseome sacrifice.

Without America's military commitment in the service of freedom, justice and humanity, this world would be a VERY different place. And a far nastier one.

Today, May 28th 2012, is the day to honor all those gentle heroes, and pray for them and their relatives.

I don't doubt for a second that the overwhelming majority of Americans respect the dead of their armed forces, who fell on battlefields from Bataan over Hawaii to Antietam and Gettysburg. From Bunker Hill and Yorktown to Nicaragua and Bastogne. From Belleau Wood and the Huertgen Forest to Fallujah and Helmand. From Grenada and Anzio to Khe Sanh, Hue and Inchon.

And yet over the past year my eye fell upon several disturbing articles. What to think of this e.g., via Fox News:

"...Memorial Day reaches out beyond our veterans, living and dead, to embrace all Americans–and to remind them that freedom is never free, in peacetime as well as war.

Today, unfortunately, nothing is sacred. That includes the graves of our war dead and veterans. Every day brings new stories about resting places vandalized or decaying with neglect. In one Boston cemetery 250 brass flag standards were stolen from soldiers’ graves to sell for scrap. A maintenance supervisor at a national cemetery outside Milwaukee was arrested for using the burial plots as his private dumping ground. Meanwhile, the National Cemetery Association’s budget has been stuck at $250 million for more than a decade–that’s about half of what our government gave to Solyndra–even the numbers of World War Two and Korean War veterans passing on, has been soaring...."

Far more appalling than news of neglect and slashed maintenace funds however was this harrowing story of the Air Force dumping partial remains of US troops in a Virginia landfill. I do not know what is worse: the fact that it happened, or the fact that there was no outcry to notice:

"...The leaders of a congressional committee investigating the Dover Air Force Base mortuary said Thursday that they would broaden their probe to include all military burial practices over the past decade, including reports that partial remains of hundreds of war dead were incinerated and dumped in a Virginia landfill.

Rep. Darrell Issa (Calif.) and Rep. Elijah Cummings (Md.), the top Republican and Democrat, respectively, on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said they found “appalling” revelations in The Washington Post on Thursday that the Air Force shipped incinerated remains from at least 274 troops to the King George County Landfill before ending the practice in 2008..."

Whoever was responsible for this, should hang. And I strain myself not to wish I would mean that litterally.

TRIUMPH OF FREE ENTERPRISE IN SPACE: SPACEX'S DRAGON DOCKS WITH THE ISS!!!

Maybe the world is more interested in Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian or the Edwards Trial, but over here we know what was REALLY important today: May 25, 2012 will go down in history as the day Private Enterprise saved the day for the US's space endeavours. As sad as the demise of the Shuttle was, in a very fitting riposte to the official abandonment of Space Exploration by the Obama government, free entrepreneurship beat moribund and uninspired statist incompetence - and in a glorious way. From FOX News:

"The privately bankrolled Dragon capsule arrived at the International Space Station for a historic docking Friday, captured by astronauts wielding a giant robot arm. It succeeded in making the first commercial delivery into the cosmos.
U.S. astronaut Donald Pettit used the space station's 58-foot robot arm to snare the gleaming white Dragon after a few hours of extra checks and maneuvers. The two vessels came together while sailing above Australia.
"Looks like we've got us a dragon by the tail," Pettit announced from 250 miles up once he locked onto Dragon's docking mechanism. "You've made a lot of folks happy down here over in Hawthorne and right here in Houston," radioed NASA's Mission Control. "Great job guys."
NASA controllers clapped as their counterparts at SpaceX's control center in Hawthorne, Calif. -- including SpaceX's billionaire maestro, Elon Musk, of PayPal fame -- lifted their arms in triumph and jumped out of their seats to exchange high fives.
This is the first time a private company has attempted to send a vessel to the space station, an achievement previously reserved for a small, elite group of government agencies. And it's the first U.S. craft to visit the station since the final shuttle flight last July."

The Dragon is the brainchild of SpaceX, a Hawthorne, CA based private space transportation. It's a reusable spacecraft that in December 2010 became the first commercially-built and operated spacecraft to be recovered successfully from orbit. And on this day, 25 May 2012, it also became the first commercial spacecraft to successfully rendezvous with the International Space Station (ISS). Under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services program, Dragon is contracted to deliver cargo to the ISS, a task it's scheduled to begin on a regular basis this very year. Additionally, NASA awarded SpaceX a Commercial Crew Development (CCDev) contract in April 2011, and the Dragon is meant to carry up to seven astronauts, or a mixture of personnel and cargo, to and from low Earth orbit. The little craft is even more ambitious: it's PICA heat shield is designed to withstand Earth re-entry velocities from potential Lunar and Martian spaceflights.

The Dragon consists of a nose-cone cap that jettisons after launch, and a conventional blunt-cone ballistic capsule on top of a trunk equipped with two solar arrays. The capsule can be re-usedand flown on multiple missions. The trunk however is not recoverable: it separates from the capsule before re-entry and burns up in the Earth's atmosphere. Dragon is launched atop a Falcon 9 booster. The capsule is equipped with 18 Draco thrusters, dual-redun­dant in all axes, which means that any two can fail without compromising the vehicle's control over its pitch, yaw, roll and translation.

DANCES WITH FOOLS FOR US SENATE IN MASSACHUSETTS!!!

Steyn's take on the Elizabeth Warren case is so hilarious and at the same time so spot-on that you just GOT to read it, if you haven't already. From The Orange County Register, May 4, 2012:

"Have you dated a composite woman? They're America's hottest new demographic. As with all the really cool stuff, Barack Obama was doing it years before the rest of us. In "Dreams from My Father," the world's all-time most-unread bestseller, he spills the inside dope on his composite white girlfriend: "When we got back to the car she started crying. She couldn't be black, she said. She would if she could, but she couldn't. She could only be herself, and wasn't that enough..."

But being yourself is never going to be enough in the new composite America. Last week, in an election campaign ad, Barack revealed his latest composite girlfriend – "Julia." She's worse than the old New York girlfriend. She can't even be herself. In fact, she can't be anything without massive assistance from Barack every step of the way, from his "Head Start" program at age 3 through to his Social Security benefits at the age of 67. Everything good in her life she owes to him. When she writes her memoir, it will be thanks to a subvention from the Federal Publishing Assistance Program for Chronically Dependent Women but you'll love it: Sweet Dreams From My Sugar Daddy. She's what the lawyers would call "non composite mentis." She's not competent to do a single thing for herself – and, from Barack's point of view, that's exactly what he's looking for in a woman, if only for a one-night stand on a Tuesday in early November.

Then there's "Elizabeth," a 62-year-old Democratic Senate candidate from Massachusetts. Like Barack's white girlfriend, she couldn't be black. She would if she could, but she couldn't. But she could be a composite – a white woman and an Indian woman, all mixed up in one! Not Indian in the sense of Ashton Kutcher putting on brownface makeup and a fake-Indian accent in his amusing new commercial for the hip lo-fat snack Popchips. But Indian in the sense of checking the "Are you Native American?" box on the Association of American Law Schools form, which Elizabeth Warren did for much of her adult life. According to her, she's part Cherokee and part Delaware. Not in the Joe Biden sense, I hasten to add, but Delaware in the sense of the Indian tribe named in honor of the home state of Big F—kin' Chief Dances With Plugs.

How does she know she's a Cherokee maiden? Well, she cites her grandfather's "high cheekbones," and says the Indian stuff is part of her family "lore." Which was evidently good enough for Harvard Lore School when they were looking to rack up a few affirmative-action credits. The former Obama Special Advisor to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and former Chairperson of the Congressional Oversight Panel now says that "I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group, something that might happen with people who are like I am," and certainly not for personal career advancement or anything like that. Like everyone else, she was shocked, shocked to discover that, as The Boston Herald reported, "Harvard Law School officials listed Warren as Native American in the '90s, when the school was under fierce fire for their faculty's lack of diversity." So did the University of Texas, and the University of Pennsylvania. With the impertinent jackanapes of the press querying the bona fides of Harvard Lore School's first Native American female professor, the Warren campaign got to work and eventually turned up a great-great-great-grandmother designated as Cherokee in the online transcription of a marriage application of 1894.



Hallelujah! In the old racist America, we had quadroons and octoroons. But in the new post-racial America, we have – hang on, let me get out my calculator – duoettrigintaroons! Martin Luther King dreamed of a day when men would be judged not on the color of their skin but on the content of their great-great-great-grandmother's wedding license application. And now it's here! You can read all about it in Elizabeth Warren's memoir of her struggles to come to terms with her racial identity, Dreams From My Great-Great-Great-Grandmother.

Alas, the actual original marriage license does not list Great-Great-Great-Gran'ma as Cherokee, but let's cut Elizabeth Fauxcahontas Crockagawea Warren some slack here. She couldn't be black. She would if she could, but she couldn't. But she could be 1/32nd Cherokee, and maybe get invited to a luncheon with others of her kind – "people who are like I am," 31/32nds white – and they can all sit around celebrating their diversity together. She is a testament to America's melting pot, composite pot, composting pot, whatever.



Just in case you're having difficulty keeping up with all these Composite-Americans, George Zimmerman, the son of a Peruvian mestiza, is the embodiment of endemic white racism and the reincarnation of Bull Connor, but Elizabeth Warren, the great-great-great-granddaughter of someone who might possibly have been listed as Cherokee on an application for a marriage license, is a heartwarming testimony to how minorities are shattering the glass ceiling in Harvard Yard. George Zimmerman, redneck; Elizabeth Warren, redskin. Under the Third Reich's Nuremberg Laws, Ms. Warren would have been classified as Aryan and Mr. Zimmerman as non-Aryan. Now it's the other way round. Progress!



Coincidentally, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission last week issued an "Enforcement Guidance" limiting the rights of employers to take into account the criminal convictions and arrest records of job applicants because of the "disparate impact" the consideration of such matters might have on minorities. That's great news, isn't it? So Harvard Law School can't ask Elizabeth Warren if she's ever held up a liquor store because, if they did, the faculty might be even less Cherokee than it is.

My colleague Jonah Goldberg wrote the other day about Chris Mooney, author of "The Republican Brain," and other scientific chaps who argue that conservatives suffer from a genetic cognitive impairment that causes us to favor small government. In other words, we're born stupid. So, thanks to gene sequencing, we now know why conservatives aren't as smart as, say, Pete Stark, the nigh-on-half-a-century Democrat congressman who believes that Solyndra, which is based in his district, is an automobile manufacturer: "I wish I had a big enough expense allowance to get one of those new 'S's' that Solyndra's going to make down there, the electric car," he told The San Francisco Chronicle this week. "My 10-year-old is after me. He no longer wants a Porsche. He wants Dad to have an 'S' sedan." Pete sounds so out of it, you have to wonder if maybe he's 1/32nd Republican on his great-great-great-grandmother's side. But, if conservatives are simply born that way, shouldn't they be covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission?

Aw, don't waste your time. Elizabeth Warren will be ahead of you checking the "right-wing madman" box on the grounds that she gets her high cheekbones and minimal facial hair from Genghis Khan. And "Julia" will be saying she was born conservative but thanks to Obama's new Headcase Start program was able to get ideological reassignment surgery. And Barack's imaginary girlfriend will be telling him that she'd be left if she could, but she's right so she can't, but she'd love to be left. So he left her.

Good thing the smart guys are running the joint.

FRENCH COMMIT NATIONAL SUICIDE.

Back in 2004, I predicted a rightwing shift in Europe. By and large, I was proven right, a few exceptions like Zapatero's victory in Spain notwithstanding. I also stated that that shift was not so much a move to the right, as a move away from the left, since the politically correct pensée is so hopelessly ingrained in the western mind, courtesy our leftist media and education system, that what passes for a European Right is actually almost Left Lite, like e.g. Cameron's 'conservatives' in the UK, or the Reinfeldt variety of center right in Sweden. And what could really be labeled 'Right', like Belgium's Vlaams Belang, is mercilessly quarantined politically.

Whatever rightwing tide there has been, has that stopped now, with Hollande's victory in the French elections?

I am cautiously weighing my words when I say, 'no'. Or rather, 'not yet'.

A couple of years ago, I read the Stephen King short story 'The road virus heads north', in which an author, travelling north from Boston, Massachusetts to Derry, Maine, buys a curious painting of a sinister looking young man seated in a cabrio, driving somewhere. As the author, a Richard Kinnell, continues north, he perceives a change in the painting and, unsettled, discards it. It does not do him good, because he finds that as he moves closer and closer to Maine, the painting is preceding him, sometimes hanging already against a wall in a rest stop... and with details in its background making it clear that the ghastly driver's real time alter ego is actually closing in on him.

The socialist victory in France is a bit like that road virus. It's heading north. It's been going on for some time, since we already mentioned Zapatero's eight year reign in Spain, during which he single-handedly obliterated the work of that marvellous rightwing gentleman Jose Maria Aznar, who had succeeded in bringing Spain's unemployment rate back to 10%.

Spain, which only months ago found out that socialist medicine tastes bitter, now has an unemployment rate of 25%.

I guess I don't need to elaborate on the wonders socialism wrought in Greece.

And now it's France's turn. The road virus is heading north.

François Hollande is quantité négligable. He's an asshole and a dwarf and a cretin. He also has power. He has power to implement e.g. his ludicrous and written-in-the-stars-destined-to-be-counterproductive measure of taxing les riches 75%. You read that right. Seventy-five per cent.

France, already very much a statist economy, is now embarking not on a Tour de France, but on a Tour of Doom, since in their glorious wisdom the frogs have decided to couple hard core socialism with islam. Indeed, muslims constitute already 10% of the French population and they are procreating like rats on steroids. It should be noted that a staggering 93 % of French muslims voted for Hollande, which was one way to show their disgust of Sarkozy, who, treacherous and ineffectual as he may have been, nevertheless introduced a burqa ban.

The upcoming combination of socialism and islam is the most potent economy-killer on earth. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle of France going down in flames for the upcoming five years. And here is the take of one of perhaps four or five Frenchman who have their head screwed on right. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Dissident Frogman:

Candidate Porcinet’s profession of faith reads like the Ten Commandments of last century’s People Prophets: punish those who succeed (until they move to Britain or Switzerland), plunder big businesses (in case they’d still harbor any intention to go for big employment), force or flatter and in last resort coerce and submit as much as possible to a State whose expansion you will feed through taxing everything that moves (and keeps moving, dixit le Gipper), while spending more than you have and borrowing whatever you can’t steal.

Looking at the French Left these days, you can almost feel a North Korean-lite level of insanity at work: no matter that the money is running out, that the standards of living are falling steadily and will continue to do so, these guys want to carry on, nay, extend the very policies and practices that brought us in this sorry state of affairs in the first place.



The horrible truth about the party that is now at the helm in France is that they are, and I weight my words carefully, completely mental (though in truth, the previous one was only ever so slightly less bonkers), while the added horror stems from the fact that they’ve just been chosen by a slight majority of the voters.

Hollande did not deserve to win—unless you belong to the kind of people who, when asked “Who should we put in charge of the clattering train?” would answer “Why, Death, of course. Who else?” (for the record, that’s 51.63 % of the French electorate)

On the other hand, Nicolas “Tricky Nick” Sarkozy did deserve to lose. Back in 2007, he fooled the better half of the voters by campaigning on a free(ish)-market / small(ish) government platform, before making a u-turn (okay, maybe just 170°) as soon as he was elected, aggravating both his friends on the Right and his enemies on the Left—who hate him for being at times (though admittedly not all the time) more effectively, and in some tragic way more efficiently, Left-wing than themselves. Cue his disgusting pandering to the Ecologists and hard left unions at the ‘Grenelles de l’Environment’, including but not limited to, his warm introduction of Al Gore as “President Al Gore”.

And so there was no doubt in my mind that he couldn’t win—that much has been crystal clear to me for quite some time (I mean, look, I last predicted the sacking of Sarko in September 2010, and everybody acts as if yesterday’s results are the big shocking results? What the hell are these people reading? Le Fluffingtown Host?1)

On the third hand (that’s the one the big French state was slipping in my pocket while I was foolishly debating the other two) there is one thing with which I can blindly entrust my fellow Frenchmen: they always have, and always will make the worst possible choices at the worst possible times—and this time again, they did.

So my ‘solution’ out of this dilemma? Well, knowing that Sarkozy couldn’t win, even with my vote, I felt desperate enough at the prospect of a Socialist plebiscite that I would give him my vote, thus clinging to the bittersweet consolation of knowing that in the end, I did my part to minimize Hollande’s victory margin—no matter how useless this might have been..."

France is dead. Vive la France.

I owe my readers - those ones of good will, anyway - an apology.

My earlier assertion that a gay 32-year old Belgian of Moroccan descent had been murdered by muslims, making it the first registered homophobic murder as such in our country, is WRONG, as reader Peter Fleming suggested.

The perpetrators were mostly white trash. Have been arrested: Eric P., Jeremy W., Jonathan L. and Mutlu K. With the exception of the latter, all very plausible names for white Belgian males. The foursome, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, tried after a party to get a young woman to enter their car. She refused. For some reason they also asked Ihsane Jarfi, who accepted. Some time after, he was molested and gravely wounded, and presumably left for dead in a field in Nandrin-Modave.

As facts, facts and nothing but the facts are extremely important to me, I feel I let emotion trump reason in prematurely seeking the murderers among the muslim community.

I will therefore apologize to the readership for falsely presenting a suspicion as a fact.

I will however NOT apologize to muslims, because in my opinion they do not deserve so. They would deserve an apology if the ummah were a respectable part of humanity. That it is not, at least not in my opinion. Whether it be for imposing horrible rules for non-muslims, females, gays in the 55 or so countries where they rule, and the many others where they form a significant part of the population, or for inflicting havoc in Darfur or south Sudan, or for killing thousands of Thai in south Thailand, or for generally being a pain in the *ss from Birmingham over Brussels to Berlin and beyond, or for voting en masse for a neocommunist in the French presidential elections - because that is what they did - muslims constitute the greatest and most powerful retrograde force in the world, and they shouldn't get away with it.

In the meantime....

.... am I the only one to notice the ABSOLUTE and EARDEAFENING SILENCE from muslims in Belgium with regards to the murder of one of their own???

That's right, you don't hear a peep from them. Had the victim been a heterosexual muslim, or at least one perceived as such, and/or had he even been a murderer himself, or a thief, or an arsonist...

... then you can be quite sure that cars would have burned, shops vandalized, people harassed, buses pelted with stones, amongst others. Not now, however. Infidels murdered an openly gay muslim, and for once they have done...

... something which is entirely acceptable for the ummah.

As for Ihsane Jarfi... I feel very sorry for him, I really do.

IT'S OFFICIAL: MUSLIMS MURDER FIRST HOMOSEXUAL MAN IN BELGIUM.

The first confirmed murder as such, anyway. There have very likely been killings before but with death attributed to a particular planet configuration, the flute with the six smurfs, George Bush, the gap in the ozone layer or whatever.

Now however there's clear evidence that peace loving adherents of the religion of piss butchered an openly gay man for being, well, openly gay in Belgistan. How do you feel about THAT, Elio di Rupo? From those outstanding mensa candidates over at Het Laatste Nieuws, May 3, 2012:



So what the article says is that in a field near the southern Belgian city of Huy the lifeless body was found of Ihsane Jarfi, a gay muslim man. There's sufficient evidence (and three suspects have been rounded up) that this was a homophobic crime. Interior Minister (and Minister of Equal Chances) Joelle Milquet, a cunt of the first order, issued a communique stating that she was 'shocked' and that plans were needed to combat homophobic violence.

I am sorry, but I'm totally f*cked up because of overload but I promise I WILL translate the whole text. It is WORTH translating, because the text of such a document must be preserved for posterity so that future historians can better grasp the Absolute, Mindless, Breathtaking and Unconditional Stupidity that rules today's politically correct discourse. In short, the article is full of SHIT and is tiptoeing like a pinguin drunk as a monkey around the key issue, namely that Ihsane Jarfi is DEAD because of the growing presence of ISLAM in our country.

A couple of weeks back, when Santorum was still running, the same newspaper ran a gleeful article highlighting a Santorum collage made of snapshots from gay porn movies. Gleeful, because a poster like that was gefundenes fressen to lambast an 'ultraconservative homophobe':



Reality trumps fiction. I specifically encircled the sentence 'The ultraconservative politician takes a very hard stance against homosexuality'. To the best of my knowledge, Santorum has never exhorted anyone to kill gay people, nor lauded those who do so. But for the HLN, on a moral plane miles and miles and miles and miles higher than the likes of Santorum and Outlaw Mike and assorted rightwing hatemongers, Santorum is a monster. Amazingly, HLN saw fit to publish an article about Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei RIGHT ABOVE the Santorum article. The day that Het Laatste Nieuws takes the bold step to denounce the good ayatollah as 'homophobic', I eat my shoes.

My mountain boots, that is.

No, they won't do that, trust me. In Khameneiland aka Iran, gays are legally hung from construction cranes with the blessing of that paradigm of Human Rights and Equal Chances Ayatollah Al-Khamenei, but the coverage Het Laatste Nieuws has spent thus far on this amusing challenge of the Iranian gay scene can best be summarized as chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp, and then some. Santorum however... now THERE is a MEAN HOMOPHOBE!!!! Oh, as it was, the article 'bout Khamenei dealt only with the nukes Iran is working on, which is as you and I know a fait divers.

Say a prayer for Mr Jarfi. Vote Vlaams Belang and oil you guns. Good night. Translation should be coming up tomorrow night.

OBAMA'S 2012 CAMPAIGN SLOGAN: FORWARD (COMRADES)!

Good observation by American Thinker's Rick Moran: Forward to the past. On an, ahem, very appropriate day:

"What's next? Making the Internationale our new national anthem? The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" - a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism. Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."
"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word "Forward" with the "O" having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign's official beginning. There have been at least two radical-left publications named "Vorwaerts" (the German word for "Forward"). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany's SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort). Vladimir Lenin founded the publication "Vpered" (the Russian word for "forward") in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as "Forward, Soviet" (though also and more literally as "Stride, Soviet").

If Obama wants to run as a socialist, he should make that very plain to the voter. I'm sick of liberals tip toeing around their ideology as if they were ashamed of the true nature of what they are advocating. Stand up and be proud of your political beliefs. If you want to establish a social democratic state, why the subterfuge?

The reason they don't is because they would likely be unable to get elected dog catcher just about anywhere except San Francisco and maybe New York city if they were truthful about it. So instead of honesty, we get these cutesy references like "Forward" that act as a dog whistle to most of their base while hiding their real ideology from the casual voter."

Mr Moran forgot an even more telling example. The Russian neomarxist organization VPERED which means, you get it, FORWARD. Their logo is in cyrillic script, but I'm sure you can make it out:



Well you know... he DID say that it was better for everybody if the wealth was spread around, don't you remember? Lenin thought so too.
