Mark Steyn proves that he's still as eloquent and relevant as 2 decades back:

Israel, as always, is being urged to confine itself to a "proportionate" response. Headline from my former newspaper The Irish Times:

Mr Martin is the former Taoiseach and current Tánaiste (deputy Taoiseach) and Foreign Minister. I wonder what he thinks is the "proportionate" response to that scene? The "proportionate response" to an army that, as its principal tactic, seizes your womenfolk and children, and rapes, tortures and kills them. Would raping, torturing and killing their womenfolk be "proportionate"?

As for proportions more generally, Dafna Breines, an Israeli Steyn Clubber, writes:

Indeed. John is the soul of moderation, and he is trying hard to contain his anger there. Tommy Robinson is the antithesis of the soul of moderation and here is his reaction to the same video. NSFW warning: There is more effing and blinding in these two minutes than Mr Hinderaker has done in his entire life, but it is directed at those in the west who share "the jubilant reaction of the crowd":



I'm with John and Tommy on this one: I look at the things I care about in our dying civilisation, and I don't see the point of making common cause with barbarians who get their jollies dancing round a girl who's been gang-raped. You know where else they do that?

As I've said, I've only met Tommy Robinson the once - a decade ago, at the European Parliament of all places, with my darling daughter, who's now reached that age where they walk in and say, "Hey, dad, I got a cheap flight to that music festival in..." But I've talked a lot in recent days about the lack of "first principles", as the barristers (used to) say. Tommy Robinson is a man of first principles: He thinks it's wrong to gang-rape English schoolgirls in Yorkshire. And he thinks it's wrong to gang-rape German citizens in Gaza. And he's right on both.

What has changed since 9/11 a generation ago? To be sure, they don't over-think their jubilation: The general Arab view of that day, as I came to learn visiting the West Bank and elsewhere not long afterwards, is that it was simultaneously a) a glorious victory for Muslims; and b) all the work of the Mossad.


But what's changed in these two decades? Back then, they partied in Ramallah. Now they party in ...the suburbs of Toronto:

A final observation. Ms Louk, and probably the grand majority of those partying and enjoying the rave festival with her, is in all likelihood NOT someone who, in her native Germany, would ever vote for Afd, Alternative fuer Deutschland, because, well, for Ms Louk types, such parties are 'hatey hate parties'. AfD, like Vlaams Belang in my country, have been warning FOR YEARS for the danger islam constitutes to free and democratic countries. Yet they were branded neonazis, racists etc, and the incessant influx of the followers of the Prophet even increased still. Today, we taste the sour fruits of this madness. This is London:





I sincerely wish Ms Louk still survives her ordeal in good shape. I do not gloat over her predicament. But if she does make it back safe and sound, will she be able to see the error of her ideas?

HOW DID THE 2005 ISRAELI WITHDRAWAL FROM GAZA AKA LAND FOR PEACE WORK OUT? TURNS OUT, NOT SO WELL.

In 2005, Israel decided to disengage from the Gaza Strip, manu militari removing some 8,000 Jewish settlers from their homes and in the process destroying their lifework, a blossoming agro-industrial matrix of greenhouses producing tons of high-quality fruit and vegetables, to give the principle 'Land for Peace' a chance:

DOUGLAS MURRAY'S 'THE STRANGE DEATH OF EUROPE' IN IMAGES.

I actually HATE it to post this. I really do. I'd rather post more stuff on science and technology, aviation, new novels I have discovered, history...


...yet looking the other side is no option. This goes on day after day, without pause or slacking off - on the contrary.














How I miss the England of my youth... cycling through Kent and East Sussex through sun-drenched fields in SEP 1984, coming across the Runnymede Memorial by chance, cycling back smack through London, when there was no risk whatsoever of getting stabbed...


... that's all over now. In summer 2021 I drove back from Whitby, which I had visited for a day, to my hotel in Borrowdale, the Lake District. I had decided to take secondary roads through the Yorkshire Dales because that's another Brit piece of real estate that enamors me. Must have been 8pm when I passed through Keld, yes, KELD, and about the only living souls on the street I saw were some 8 or 10 Pakistanis in djellabas or some such. In KELD! But dare to have reservations about this group and you are labeled, you guess it, a racist.



Our politicians deserve to be lynched.

Those few (I suppose) who follow DowneastBlog from the very beginning know that Mr Dewinter, MP for Vlaams Belang in the Flemish AND the national (Belgian) parliament, has been warning against the dangers of islamization, multiculturalism, unchecked immigration and Omvolking for decades...





And as we speak, over the past week the drug wars, mainly in the hands of 'Belgian' Moroccans are getting totally out of hand with a.o. 31 yo drug operative Khalid gunned down in Anderlecht with 17 rounds from an AK47 and yet another heavy bomb explosion in Antwerp, muslim parents have tried to set fire to at least SIX schools in Charleroi and Liège because they reject sex education as defined by the Walloon Ministry of Education's EVRAS programme (Education à la vie relationelle, affective et sexuelle), and the chairman of the youth chapter of the Flemish Liberal party OVLD, openly gay Jef Druyts (22) was knocked into hospital in Kortrijk with a fractured skull because he had the misfortune to come across 'youths' (Newspeak for mostly Moroccan or Turkish adolescents AND children) who did not approve of Mr Druyts' lifestyle.


What do all these lovely anecdotes of life in the New, Improved Belgium have in common?


Simple.

DENMARK CAVES IN FOR ISLAMIC HATEBEARDS, PROPOSES JAIL TERM FOR BURNING QURAN.

"The Islamization of the West accelerates. 5 years ago this was still unthinkable, now one caves in out of fear for terrorists and violence from radical muslims. In a couple of years, kuffars in Belgium will also be lynched for blasphemy.





That's a very real predicament. I myself was thrown off Twitter some 2 months ago after responding to a muslim woman who had posted a photo of an IDF soldier and a Palestinian boy, aged perhaps 8 or 9. Her tweet? The accompanying text was "Unimaginable horror" or some such. Which was ridiculous, because the boy was smiling at the soldier and the soldier himself clearly didn't strike a threatening pose and indeed seemed to smile back. I remarked to the muslim woman that I failed to see what exactly was so 'horrible' about the scene and, it is true, used the expletive 'Paleostinians' - imho not too far off the mark since Palestinians still haven't evolved much beyond ineffectively toting Kalashnikovs just as they did in 1970, while Israel is now sending spacecraft to the Moon. Moreover, I added that the *real* danger for the boy wasn't so much the Israeli military but Hamas, which deliberately fires crude Qassam rockets from civilian areas in the hope that Israeli retaliatory fire will make Palestinian victims: it's good propaganda.


Next thing you know, that muslim woman reported me to Twitter and I got thrown off it. There was no attempt to engage me with arguments, no sir, I said something she didn't like, BAM, shut up you! Twitter complied, claiming that I had broken the twitter rules. I thought Musk had weedled out the leftwing crazies but apparently I was mistaken:





There is a very real danger that, as our own demographic death spiral continues - and it does, more than ever - and the demographic consequences of Europes islamization manifest themselves in our executive, legislative and judicial areas, laws will be applied more and more to stifle any opposition to said islamization. Muslims worldwide have made it abundantly clear, time and again, that Allahs laws are above those made by humans. Yet they will embrace those very same human-made laws, in particular if they come from kuffars, if they can help them to silence those criticizing their evil 'faith'.


The Danish Minister of Justice proposing the ban - and jail term - for those burning the Quran is one Peter Hummelgaard.


He's a socialist.

ISLAMIZATION OF EUROPE GOING FULL STEAM AHEAD.

Probably nobody but Europe's muslims are more pleased with all the bruhaha surrounding the covid pandemic, since it allows them to inch forward with their efforts to islamize the continent.


In September, in the major German city of Cologne a 2-year "pilot" project was started whereby Cologne's mosques - about 35 - are now permitted to broadcast the adhan on Fridays five times a day. Count on a poco cunt like Mayor Henriette Reeker to have made this possible, "as a sign of mutual respect".








That's Cologne's Diyanet-run main mosque. The monstrosity looks like a hoplite helmet to me, and the minarets like things to stab. Remember what Erdogan said back in 1998:


"The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers…"



The next important European city to follow suit with this self-destroying madness was Utrecht in The Netherlands, where a large majority in the Town Council voted in favor of a motion by islamic party Denk to allow muslim women wanting to join police to don the hijab:





Europe, at least Western Europe, is committing suicide as we speak.

REMEMBERING 9/11.

I've read a lot of "Never forgets" today.


I've barely read "Never forgives".


Over here at DowneastBlog we will never forget, never forgive and we will never be shy to squarely put the blame where it lies:





After 9/11, in an incomprehensible state of collective delusion the West, which should right away have enforced a ban on muslim immigration, rolled out the red carpet for them instead.


Here we are, twenty years later, with the outcome of the Bush Doctrine for 50 per cent a failure and for the other 50 per cent still in doubt, with truly MASSIVE inroads of islam in our countries, no solution in sight, and plenty of fucking TRAITORS in our midst. As a stark reminder of how much the rot has set in at the highest level, consider this disgraceful speech by Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff:





This... PIG, who was more concerned about 'White Rage' than ensuring the withdrawal from AFG didn't turn into a humiliating rout, manages to NOT disclose who those "They, they, they, they, they" are. What an appalling disgrace for not calling the perpetrators for what they were, ISLAMIC TERRORISTS. The scoundrel should be fired, pronto!


I don't know how it is with you, but I will fight to the death against the islamic takeover of our countries. Islam is a cancer. You either destroy cancer, be it by chemotherapy or radiation or cutting it away... or it destroys you.

CONFLANS-SAINTE-HONORINE, FRANCE: MUSLIM MURDERS TEACHER WHO SHOWED MOTOONS IN CLASS.

"A teacher was beheaded on a street near Paris on Friday afternoon after hosting a class discussion with secondary school students about cartoons of Islam's Prophet Muhammad. The suspected killer, who was armed with a knife and a plastic pellet gun, was later shot dead by officers in a nearby town, police said. French authorities have launched an anti-terror investigation. President Emmanuel Macron called it an "assassination" and an "Islamist terrorist attack". The victim, a history and geography teacher, was decapitated near a school in the commune of Conflans Saint-Honorine, northwest of the French capital, at around 5pm local time. Police told the AFP agency that the teacher had shown cartoons depicting the prophet to his class. His alleged attacker was reported to be 18 years old, of Chechen origin and born in Moscow. Officials said he was shot dead in the neighbouring town of Éragny after he acted in a threatening manner and failed to respond to an order to put down his weapons. President Macron visited the Bois d'Aulne school and met the history teacher's colleagues on Friday evening. He said afterwards: "One of our citizens was assassinated tonight because he was a teacher, because he taught students about the liberty of expression, the liberty to believe or not to believe. "Our countryman was the victim of a cowardly attack. The victim of an Islamist terrorist attack." He added the attack should not divide France because, he said, that is what the extremists want. The incident came as the French government works on a bill to address Islamist radicals who authorities claim are creating a "parallel society outside the values of the French Republic"..."





The teacher, Samuel P. was by all accounts a decent and well liked citizen, who taught history and geography in a high school in Bois d'Aulne. The perpetrator is one Aboulakh A., 18 years old, of Chechen origin, born in Moscow, and residing in Yvelines.


Count on the scoundrels in politics and media to downplay the islamic angle and find arguments to rationalize this umpteenth horrific islamic murderfest. It wouldn't surprise me if the initial 'shocked' reactions give way, two days hence, to 'he shouldn't have provoked it'.


Meanwhile, all of the ummah is rejoicing, and muslims, in particular in the West, are doubtlessly feting Aboulakh's defense of Ole Mo's 'dignity'. But perhaps worst of all is that the murder is also a dire warning to anyone who still toys with the idea of showing motoons. Anyone contemplating it will think twice again. And so, the dark curtain of islamization is slowly but irressistibly lowered over the West.

CHAMPIGNY-SUR-MARNE: 40 "INDIVIDUALS" ATTACK POLICE PRECINCT.

Champigny-sur-Marne, a southern suburb of Paris, witnessed an attack by 40 "individuals" on its police precinct last night.

"Vers 23h55, alors que deux policiers fument à l’extérieur, une quarantaine d’individus ont voulu pénétrer dans la commissariat, en tapant à coups de barres de fers dans la vitre de la porte d’entrée, qui s’est brisée. Les policiers ont tout juste eu le temps de s’enfermer dans le sas, à l’entrée du bâtiment.
Les assaillants ont également effectué plusieurs tirs de mortier. Huit ont été retrouvés sur place. Deux feux de poubelles ont été repérés à proximité du commissariat et plusieurs véhicules de police ont été dégradés. Aucun policier n’a été blessé mais les deux fonctionnaires sont “choqués”."

THE BITTER FRUITS OF ISLAMIZATION AND MULTICULTURALISM ON FULL DISPLAY IN BELGIUM.

"Omstreeks 21.20 uur zaterdagavond kreeg de Brusselse politie oproepen dat jongeren de ruiten van een kinderkribbe aan het inslaan waren aan Nieuwland in de Marollen. Wat later staken ze in diezelfde buurt meerdere vuilnisbakken en voertuigen in brand. “Wanneer de brandweer toekwam rond 21.35 uur werden ze bekogeld met zeker één molotovcocktail. Gelukkig waren er geen gewonden”, zegt de woordvoerder van de politie Olivier Slosse."

Translation: "Around 9.20pm Saturday evening Brussels Police got warned that youths were busting in the windows of a kindergarten at Nieuwland in the Marollen neighborhood. A bit later they set fire to several dumpsters and vehicles in the same area. "When firefighers arrive at about 9.35 pm they were pelted with at least one molotov cocktail. Luckily there were no wounded", says police spokesman Olivier Slosse"


Meant is of course MOROCCAN, MUSLIM youths.


And in Antwerp the drug wars, which also involve mainly muslims, are escalating to such an extent, with daily grenade attacks and shootings which so far have luckily only claimed victims among the gangs themselves, that the Antwerp PD has launced 'Operation Night Watch' to quell the turmoil. This marks the first operational deployment of their Bearcats:





Multiculturalims is destroying our countries and the evidence is there for all to see. Yet the lunatics in the traditional parties are still fine with welcoming tens of thousands Third Worlders every year.

MULTICULTURALISM IS DESTROYING EUROPE.

I won't even elaborate on the situation in my own country, but here's a small sample of the evil fruits of multiculturalism in The Netherlands: riots in Utrecht and The Hague, a 55-year old cream white Dutchman from Nijmegen beaten unconscious by "youths", a younger man from Assen who got a skull fracture from a "lichtgetintiër" (euphemism for a lightly brown colored i.e. Middle Eastern man).
Yet another Bio Dutchman, Bas Van Wijk, tried to foil the theft of a watch by a group of 5 "lichtgetintiërs" and was killed for his trouble with 5 gunshots in broad daylight. White Lives Don't Matter At All.





To top it all off there have been riots for four consecutive nights in Schilderswijk, a heavily islamicized and multiculti enclave in The Hague. Already in 2008 a staggering 90 per cent of (registered) inhabitants were foreigners, mostly Turks, Moroccans and Surinamese. The overwhelming majority (>70 per cent) live off welfare. The excuse for the riots seems to be the death of a man in police custody - I'm sure he was an outstanding, law-abiding and hardworking citizen - but if it wasn't his death while under arrest they'd have found something else.
Anyway, it's complete and utter chaos. Police has litterally FLED for throngs of hundreds of "youths", so many fire hydrants were opened that water pressure fell away and drinking water fouled, and for a while there wasn't water for the fire services, which could have had catastrophic consequences in case of a fire breaking out.

AGAIN: CORONACRISIS ABUSED BY MUSLIMS TO CONSOLIDATE THEIR POSITION.

For the second time on this blog, I will empatically state that muslims in Europe are abusing the Coroncrisis to consolidate their position.

All over the continent - at least in Western Europe - they have been seeking approval from mayors to allow the broadcasting with loudspeakers of the adhan, ostensibly 'to boost morale'.

Unfortunately, in a great many cases those mayors have given their permission.

Make no mistake, this horrible practice is here to stay. Give muslims a finger, they will take a hand. There is now a precedent. Those who think that once the coronacrisis emergency is over, the muezzins will keep silent, are fools.
