(00:10:45) Walker approvingly quotes former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s comparison between “the world of the wall” with its “isolation and defensiveness” and the “world of the square, the piazza, the marketplace, where people come together into a community and enrich each other’s lives.”

(00:13:10) CFO Ruth Porat appears to break down in tears when discussing the election result.

(00:15:20) Porat promises that Google will “use the great strength and resources and reach we have to continue to advance really important values.”

(00:16:50) Stating “we all need a hug,” she then instructs the audience of Google employees to hug the person closest to them.

(00:20:24) Eileen Noughton, VP of People Operations, promises that Google’s policy team in DC is “all over” the immigration issue and that the company will “keep a close watch on it.”

(00:21:26) Noughton jokes about Google employees asking, ‘Can I move to Canada?’ after the election. She goes on to seriously discuss the options available to Google employees who wish to leave the country.

(00:23:12) Noughton does acknowledge “diversity of opinion and political persuasion” and notes that she has heard from conservative Google employees who say they “haven’t felt entirely comfortable revealing who [they] are.” and urged “tolerance.” (Several months later, the company would fire James Damore allegedly for disagreeing with progressive narratives.)

(00:27:00) Responding to a question about “filter bubbles,” Sundar Pichai promises to work towards “correcting” Google’s role in them

(00:27:30) Sergey Brin praises an audience member’s suggestion of increasing matched Google employee donations to progressive groups.

(00:34:40) Brin compares Trump voters to “extremists,” arguing for a correlation between the economic background of Trump supporters and the kinds of voters who back extremist movements. Brin says that “voting is not a rational act” and that not all of Trump’s support can be attributed to “income disparity.” He suggests that Trump voters might have been motivated by boredom rather than legitimate concerns.

(00:49:10) An employee asks if Google is willing to “invest in grassroots, hyper-local efforts to bring tools and services and understanding of Google products and knowledge” so that people can “make informed decisions that are best for themselves.” Pichai’s response: Google will ensure its “educational products” reach “segments of the population [they] are not [currently] fully reaching.”

(00:54:33) An employee asks what Google is going to do about “misinformation” and “fake news” shared by “low-information voters.” Pichai responds by stating that “investments in machine learning and AI” are a “big opportunity” to fix the problem.

(00:56:12) Responding to an audience member, Walker says Google must ensure the rise of populism doesn’t turn into “a world war or something catastrophic … and instead is a blip, a hiccup.”

(00:58:22) Brin compares Trump voters to supporters of fascism and communism, linking the former movement to “boredom,” which Brin previously linked to Trump voters. “It sort of sneaks up sometimes, really bad things” says Brin.

(01:01:15) A Google employee states: “speaking to white men, there’s an opportunity for you right now to understand your privilege” and urges employees to “go through the bias-busting training, read about privilege, read about the real history of oppression in our country.” He urges employees to “discuss the issues you are passionate about during Thanksgiving dinner and don’t back down and laugh it off when you hear the voice of oppression speak through metaphors.” Every executive on stage – the CEO, CFO, two VPs and the two Co-founders – applaud the employee.

(01:01:57) An audience member asks if the executives see “anything positive from this election result.” The audience of Google employees, and the executives on stage, burst into laughter. “Boy, that’s a really tough one right now” says Brin."

REMEMBERING 9/11, CELEBRATING 15/8.

Never forget who did this:





It was not 'radical islam'. It was not 'extremist' islam.

It was ISLAM tout court. This horrible, inhuman 'faith', the very existence of which is a stain on humanity, has since its inception out of the pathological, deluded brain of an illiterate desert dweller, not ceased to be a burden to mankind, causing tremendous suffering and death at worst and inexcusable backwardness at best.

On this day, we remember the thousands who died because of this totalitarian ideology masquerading as a religion. As horrible as the 9/11 death toll is, it pales in comparison to the hundreds of millions who lost their lives because of islam throughout the centuries.

Let us also remember that there were times when people understood the intrinsic evil nature of muhammedanism. On many occasions, people rose to the challenge when confronted by muslim invaders and repelled them. As a fitting example, recall the successful defeat of muslim armies exactly 1,300 years ago at Constantinople, when the Byzantine Emperor Leo III and the Bulgarian King Tervel (or Trebellius) defeated the armies and navies of the Umayyad Caliphate led by Maslama ibn al-Malik. The siege lasted for over a year, beginning in July 717. The Arabs managed to install a blockade of Constantinople, but were repelled on land by the massive Theodosian Walls and at sea by the Byzantine Navy's use of Greek fire:





Terribly weakened by a severe winter, in the Spring and Summer of 718 the muslim armies found themselves between a rock and a hard place when Tervels army appeared in their rear and they couldn't succeed in breaching Constantinople's ramparts in front of them. On 15 August 718, the remnants of the Umayyad armies lifted the siege. What remained of their fleet was all but destroyed by natural causes (a volcano eruption on Santorini amongst others) or pursuing Byzantine vessels.

"THIS ANTWERP SCHOOL HAS GENDER NEUTRAL TOILETS.

"In our school boys and girls can choose which toilet they will use", says principal Tine Embrechts. "They are no longer divided up in boys and girls." Also, the school no longer has a Mother- or Father's Day anymore, just simply a "Parent Day" - because much more children than before now have two mamas or two papas. During classes, girls can do boy things galore and vice versa."

I take it that K'do (what a silly name is that) is one of a small number of bobo schools for designerkids from Gutmenschen parents where there aren't too many follower of the prophet kiddos - yet. These fools are deluding themselves that they can make their gender phantasmagorias blossom even in the face of the undeniable demographic shift.


THIS, however, is REALITY, no matter how much Madam Embrechts wants to believe that even if a kid has a penis, it can still claim it's a girl and the other way round:

BELGIUM: EXTREME LEFTWING MSM, POLITICIANS, EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL SECTOR DEMONIZE FLEMISH 'GENERATION IDENTITY' GROUP 'SCHILD EN VRIENDEN'.

Austria and France amongst others have strong 'Génération Identitaire' groups. Flanders, Belgium's Flemish-speaking northern half, has a similar group calling itself 'Schild en Vrienden' [lit. 'Shield and Friends' - MFBB]. Which is a playful variant on the famous 'Schild en Vriend' 'password' Flemish patriots used to discern French from Flemish prior to the Battle of the Golden Spurs in 1302, in which a Flemish militia utterly defeated and routed the cream of French knighthood.

Below you see a video shot earlier this year, where frontman Dries Van Langenhoven explains how they are going to tackle the occupation by a leftist mob of a famous landmark in Ghent, the 'Gravensteen':





Schild en Vrienden has now come in the crosshairs by all of "well"-meaning Belgium because of the allegedly racist/sexist/antisemitic/take your pick content on their Facebook page.

Fleshing out later today, but to me it looks like an orchestrated attempt to divert attention away from truly epic revelations concerning the involvement of up to one in six city council members in the international drug trade in gloriously multicultural Antwerp earlier this week.


..... (update) I promised I would flesh it out, and for once I'm keeping my promise:


From the material available I had the time to check out, I guess that by far the biggest anti S & V gun is a Facebook post by Dries Van Langenhoven's presumed right hand man, a certain Louis De Stoop. It shows De Stoop being photographed near the Eiffel Tower, alongside a 1940 photo of the Fuehrer in about the same location, with the caption "Posing before the Eiffel Tower, who did it best"?





The media have whipped up a veritable shitstorm against Schild en Vrienden but for now the sound and fury is drowning out the 'evidence'. In other words, politicians, media talking heads, deans and principals, celebs et al are huffing and puffing about how horribly racist/sexist/antisemitic/homophobic the Flemish GI equivalent is, but the material being published to prove it is meagre, to say the least. I concur that the above photo is A BIG NO NO, but there are two possibilities here:


a.) Either De Stoop was serious, and then he should be booted out immediately. In any decent rightwing organization there can be no question whatsoever of ever admitting neonazis. Not only is Nazi doctrine inhuman and decidedly un-Christian, but also and just as importantly, Nazis were socialists. The very Nazi party acronym, NSDAP, stands for Nazional Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei, or National SOCIALIST German WORKERS party. Anyone who swoons before nazi icons must be told in no uncertain terms that "The Right" is not the right place for him or her to be. Nazi economic policy was at heart Keynesianist, as opposed to Austrian school economics. Nazi Germany strived to become an autarky - the very opposite of free markets. Like their ideological brothers the Communists, Nazis strived to make the State an omnipotent watcher of the individual's every private move... by contrast, real rightwingers are fierce champions of freedom (insofar, of course, that pursuing this freedom does not hamper of harm other individuals).

b.) Or De Stoop's post was made in jest, and then it's a caption in bad taste. It's not impossible. In the comments sections of several rightwing sites, I myself have on at least two occasions blurted out "Wehrmacht come back! All is forgiven!" This in reaction to the umpteenth calamity caused by feckless security services acting inefficiently to this or that muslim terror deed or provocation in the public square. Now, would I really want the Wehrmacht to come back? Of course not! In September 1944, my grandfather and father, then a 10 year old kid, stood watching along the street in front of their house as German columns were retreating in great haste and disarray. My grandfather, typical for his personality, rather obviously smirked at the beaten soldiers of the Fuehrer. I will forever remember my father's description of what suddenly happened: a vehicle came to a stop, a fuming officer got out, pulled his pistol, and threatened to shoot my grandfather on the spot. My father told me that it was only his own loud crying and frantic clutching of his father's leg that prevented the officer from doing it. Grandpa was very lucky and came off with a stern warning and probaby an insult or two. My dad could grow up in peace, and somewhere along the timeline that resulted in yours truly being conceived and born. Now, this is but a very innocent display of Wehrmacht power and behaviour in the occupied countries. Would I genuinely wish for that and worse to come back? Certainly not! But I guess I thought I could score in the comments with a snarky phrase like that. And De Stoop might have thought that too with his Eiffel Tower remark.


Regardless, in the myriad of articles and references to Schild en Vrienden - here is a screenshot:





.... extremely little "evidence" is being brought forward of the alleged "racism", "sexism", "antisemitism", xenophoboism or whatever other ism causes tantrums in watermelons. The above photo by De Stoop actually does not even figure among the 'proof'. Indeed, while Dries Van Langenhoven was thrown out of his university, Ugent, (the Catholic University of Leuven has already offered - sob, sob, sob - to give him a second chance, if he repents for the horrible crime of being a patriot) Louis De Stoop is 'allowed' to stay. There IS no proof, unless you consider the fact that Dries Van Langenhoven once tweeted of wrote something like "I would like to use the word negro just to see what happens" as 'evidence' of racism.

I have therefore concluded that the hysterical media frenzy about a group which after all is still fringe in the Belgian/Flemish political landscape must be viewed in the current context, namely, there's municipal elections in a month. And the Schild and Vrienden affair is a stick to beat N-VA with, Flander's most powerful party, some kind of Vlaams Belang lite. Now, I have no use for N-VA, which stands for Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie (New Flemish Alliance), because it is a Janus party essentially. It gives the impression that it is center right, but at heart it is not so different from the other Gutmenschen parties. For one thing, although N-VA constantly boasts that the Immigration Minister it has provided to tackle the Europeanwide crisis in this domain, a certain Theo Francken, is a tough guy, the reality is that under Francken, between 120,000 and 200,000 asylum applicants from so-called war zones have, over the past two to three years, gotten their requests validated. At least 52,000 family members who curiously stayed back in the war zones have gotten the green light to follow their brave kind and come to our shores too.

But Belgium, land of pussies, would not be Belgium if even the less than mediocre performance of men like Theo Francken wouldn't be too much for the Greens and Socialists, who can't wait to turn the country into the Third World and reduce Whites to minority status.

And so, when earlier this week the Antwerp N-VA mayor Bart De Wever suddenly voiced concern that the cocaine mafia is making itself felt in politics, the police and even the judiciary, the socialists and greens saw this as a move to score in the municipal elections to be held in October...

"In an explosive interview with De Volkskrant De Wever says that the normal balance of power in his city is giving way under pressure of the enormous sums of money courtesy the cocaine traffic. Money that, he says, is seeping through throughout the whole of society "by gifts to mosque nonprofits, unofficial loans to people in certain neighborhoods who cannot or will not go to a bank, by employing people in shops which are shops in name only but serve in reality criminal purposes: telephone shops, fish markets, shisabars..."

More than half of the intercepted cocaine in Latin America is destined for Belgium.

The mayor even goes one step further: "This money will buy influence in politics. I dare say: in Antwerp we have arrived on the stage that de drugs mafia is going to buy political influence". He adds that there are city council members of which he strongly suspects they are members of the cocaine mafia."

... and Red and Green shrieked hysterically that he should come forward with names. De Wever pointing with his finger to laundered cocaine money finding its way to MOSQUES, how dare he???

Two days later the non-story about Schild en Vrienden broke loose. It was: a.) the perfect item to divert attention away from drug trafficking by muslim nonprofits; and: b.) the perfect tool to beat N-VA with, since several Schild en Vrienden members are/were (?) on N-VA lists for the upcoming elections, and many, many ordinary N-VA members left likes on Schild en Vrienden's Facebook page.

It has worked extremely well. In the blink of an eye, Mayor De Wever's very serious allegations about the involvement of City Council members in the drug trade were forgotten. Politicans from all sides including N-VA (but luckily not Vlaams Belang), tripped over each other's feet to condemn 'racism' and distance themselves from Schild en Vrienden. In a normal country, the media would do everything to unearth the downright frightening mechanisms behind Antwerp's role as European Cocaine Carrousel, the influence that cocaine money is buying in the upper strata of Antwerp society, and the rise of deadly violence (drug cartel related shootings and grenade attacks in Antwerp and surroundings), and relegate the S and V non-item to fourteenth stage. Alas, Belgium is no normal country.

Because an honest media's inquiries and investigations would only disclose the fact that the groups behind the drug traffic are essentially Moroccan. Thus, islamic. Nah. We CAN'T have that.

Hence, the sudden shitstorm around Schild en Vrienden. I wish Mr Van Langenhoven all the luck. If the whole affair proves anything, it's that we need more Van Langenhovens.

SALVINI AND ORBAN ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN ANTI-IMMIGRATION AXIS.

The most interesting development in European politics in August was the announcement of the formation of an 'Anti-Immigration Axis' by Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán and Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini. Via The Gatestone Institute:

"Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor and Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini have pledged to create an "anti-immigration axis" aimed at countering the pro-migration policies of the European Union.

Meeting in Milan on August 28, Orbán and Salvini, vowed to work together with Austria and the Visegrad Group — the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia — to oppose a pro-migration group of EU countries led by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Orbán and Salvini are seeking a coordinated strategy ahead of the March 2019 European Parliament elections to defeat the pro-immigration Party of European Socialists (PES), a pan-European party representing national-level socialist parties from all EU member states. The objective is to change the political composition of European institutions, including the European Parliament and the European Commission, to reverse the EU's open-door migration policies.

At a joint press conference, Salvini said:



"Today begins a journey that will continue in the coming months for a different Europe, for a change of the European Commission, of European policies, which puts at the center the right to life, work, health, safety, all that the European elites, financed by [billionaire Hungarian philanthropist George] Soros and represented by Macron, deny.

"We are close to a historic turning point at the continental level. I am astonished at the stupor of a political left that now exists only to challenge others and believes that Milan should not host the president of a European country, as if the left has the authority to decide who has the right to speak and who does not — and then they wonder why no one votes for them anymore.

"This is the first of a long series of meetings to change destinies, not only of Italy and of Hungary, but of the whole European continent."







Orbán added:



"European elections will be held soon, and many things must change. At the moment there are two sides in Europe: One is led by Macron, who supports mass migration. The other side is led by countries that want to protect their borders. Hungary and Italy belong to the latter.

"Hungary has shown that we can stop migrants on land. Salvini has shown that migrants can be stopped at sea. We thank him for protecting Europe's borders.

"Migrants must be sent back to their countries. Brussels says we cannot do it. They also said it was impossible to stop migrants on land, but we did it.

"Salvini and I, we seem to share the same destiny. He is my hero."

This is positive news, and one that finally gives hope for real change. After all, no matter how bold the leaders of the Visegrad Group are, their countries - Poland, pop. 39 million, the Czech Republic, pop. around 10 million, Slovakia, pop. ca. 5 million, and Hungary, pop. ca. 10 million - represent only around 12 per cent of the EU populationwise. But if Italy, pop. 60 million, and presumably Austria, pop. around 8.5 million, join in, that's becoming something of a gamechanger. It's too bad that the Spaniards have just elected a socialist government again, for the umpteenth time proving their neverending stupidity to swerve to the left as soon a center right government has cleaned up the g*dforsaken mess left by the previous socialist goons. In practice, this has resulted, in the past few months, of the taking in of 'refugees' in Spain who were denied entry to the EU via Italy - thereby effectively nixing Italy's policy.

There remain many obstacles on the way, of course. Merkel's end has been announced a million times but for the time being she remains politically incontournable and with her the determination to destroy Europe as it was. France's Macron, too, remains firmly committed to import the Third World and bring down his own country. More serious than these individuals however, is their electorate, which keeps voting these monsters in office time and again. That's what I would call the big challenges.

'Small' challenges are e.g. the fact that even Italy and Hungary do not yet see eye to eye as regards immigration, since many in Italy are as yet merely complaining about the Dublin Regulation, instead of wanting to block immigration tout court. The Dublin Regulation requires immigrants to apply for asylum in the country where they set first foot on European soil - a measure which, for obvious reasons, places far more stress on Italy than, say, on landlocked Luxembourg.

But nevertheless, this move towards an anti-immigration alliance proves that the spirit of the Visegrad Four is spreading westwards. Let us hope it continues beyond Italy, and that by March 2019, when elections take place for the European Parliament, this axis is strong enough to defeat the main adversary, the PES (Party of European Socialists), for which population replacement is the Number One priority.

In the week that was, Demonrats went completely berserk in the States, convincing themselves that two dead horses (Manafort partially pleading guilty and Cohen confirming The Donald's hush money for a porn actress) automatically would result in The President somehow having to stop, well, being President.

Their ululating all but managed to force the far more important issue of Mollie Tibbets' tragic death at the hands of an illegal immigrant into obscurity. Yet her gruesome murder is no standalone case and a portender of what is yet to come if the borders remain leaking like a sieve.

It's not much different in Europe, where only the most ghastly cases of autochtons meeting a tragic and most often painful death in encounters with illegals make a blip on the radar.

I never fully understood Mark Steyn's status as a proud Canadian citizen but nevertheless one whose plan in life involves being an legal immigrant in the US of A, but even though he lives in New Hampshire and apparently loves it, I suppose his heart must bleed, for leftist loons have removed the statue of Alexander Macdonald from its place at the entrance of Victoria City Hall.



Who was Sir John Alexander Macdonald (11 January 1815 – 6 June 1891)? He was Canada's first Prime Minister, serving two terms (1867–1873 and 1878–1891). Born in Scotland, this immigrant boy whose parents came to Kingston (then in the Province of Upper Canada) trained as a lawyer and became politically active early on so that in 1844 he was elected to the legislature of the then Province of Canada.

He and his main political rival, George Brown, united their parties in a Grand Coalition to expedite the forming of a federation. In the subsequent political machinations he emerged as the strongest and ablest leader so that after the British North America Act and the birth of Canada as a nation on July 1st, 1867, he became the new state's first PM.

Though his career was not entirely free of scandals and controversies, any historian worth his salt will agree that Macdonald proved an excellent steward for the newest Dominion, setting it on the path to a successful industrialized nation - which by necessity required a decent railroad network, in a country of that size and with Mother Nature imposing sizeable challenges, no mean feat.

Indeed, historical rankings have resulted in Sir Macdonal's being rated as one of the best Prime Ministers in Canada's history.

And now leftist lunatics have removed a statue of Macdonald from outside Victoria City Hall, "as part of the city's program for reconciliation with local First Nations", as mayor Lisa Helps helpfully explains:

The latter is just fatuous pap, and the former is not a name but merely a description of what's taking place inside the building. But that's all we can do, because we can't even take the risk of re-naming the joint. Because today's hero-of-the-day - the first transgender nominee for Governor of Vermont, say - will inevitably be revealed in thirty years' time to have been unsound on intersexual Muslima cloning or whatever. Because getting "woke" is one thing, but staying "woke" and "woke"-to-the-minute is all but impossible:

And what about Casimir Gzowski, who laid Her Majesty's wreath upon the "leader of violence"'s coffin? Shouldn't his busts and memorials be removed, too? And Sir Casimir Gzowski Park in Toronto be renamed Transgender Bathroom Park?

And what about Sir Casimir's great-great-grandson, beloved Canadian radio host Peter Gzowski? Shouldn't he be removed from the CBC archives? Or at any rate shouldn't Gzowski College at Trent University and the Gzowski branch of Georgina public libraries be renamed just in case somebody is triggered by the thought that they might be named not after Peter but after the great-great-grandpa who had the effrontery to lay the queen of violence's wreath of violence on the leader of violence's grave or violence?

This is not an assault on historical figures; this is an assault on history itself - on the very idea that ancient societies have a past, or roots, or historical continuity, or anything other than the fashions of the moment.

I'm with Blatch: Enough. Even if you accept every slur hurled at McKinley, Macdonald, Smuts and whoever's next, the cure is worse than the disease. To demolish the past means to live in a dictatorship of the present tense. To hell with that."

"Public space cannot be taken over in this way", said the president of the Paris regional council, Valérie Pécresse, who led a protest by councilors and MPs. In Italy, hundreds of Muslims prayed next to Colosseum, and Muslim prayers were held in front of Milan's Cathedral.

The numbers are telling. When Muslims throughout Europe celebrated the final day of Islam's holy month of Ramadan with public prayers, city squares -- from Naples (Italy) to Nice (France) -- overflowed. The annual Birmingham event began in 2012 with 12,000 faithful. Two years later, the number of the faithful rose to 40,000. In 2015, it was 70,000. In 2016, the number was 90,000. In 2017, it was 100,000. In 2018, the number was 140,000. Next year?"

This has absolutely got NOTHING to do with peacefully concluding a period of fasting. Whereby the fasting is bogus anyway, since during the evenings and nights muslims gobble and guzzle down what they missed during daytime, and then some - but that's another aspect.

No, mass manifestations like this are a challenge, they are meant to be a show of force, a means to INTIMIDATE.

I deeply, passionately love the mountains. Dunno why that is - apparently my neurons are wired just that way. But Nature played a trick on me. I'm not completely free of vertigo. So while I cannot resist the call of the mountains, chains and via ferrata do scare me - every time again I have to conquer my inner self before I can conquer the iron ladder with the steps driven in bare rock. And I'm definitely never gonna end up halfway a perpendicular stone wall the way some of the guys in the following video do:





Until six years ago, I dreamed of one day making it to the top of the Matterhorn. I came as far as the Hoernlihuette, at 3,320m, looked up at that great conical mass that's the real thing, and knew I would NEVER make it to THAT top. I know my limits and am content with that; my mind is at ease. And there's still so many lesser summits to scale which are within my reach. For next year I have set my sights on Switzerland's Weissmies (4,017m). I climbed Allalinhorn (4,025m) in the same canton - Wallis - with no problems whatsoever (using the services of a guide to be sure). And I'm told that if you can do Allalinhorn Weissmies won't be a problem either. Both mountains are perfect for beginners and would be alpinists like your servant. Another vid with somewhat less glamour gives you an idea of a Weissmies ascent:





We will see! John Muir I know how you felt but for the moment I gotta concentrate on filling both the summer gaps in my finances AND the coffers of the Belgian State!

BACK IN BUSINESS.

As you may have guessed, I was away on vacation with the family, though not for the full three weeks since the radio silence. I consider myself lucky that once again, we had a great time with lots of fun and exciting new sights and sounds. Summer vacation 2018 took me first solo to Bavaria where I climbed Germany's highest, the Zugspitze (2962m). I took the pic below on final approach.





I got there by way of the Reintalroute, which is the easiest one. Easiest one, not counting of course the ascent by cable car, haha. Indeed, the summit of the Zugspitze is a bit of a circus, with scores of tourists coming up without breaking a sweat, to then gobble down bratwurst in the eateries on top, spend their euros on silly tourist stuff in gift shops etc. To be sure, I took the cable car back down, because I figured that if I took the same way back I'd never make it to my hotel before midnight. Indeed, the day before I hiked from Garmisch-Partenkirchen via the Bockhuette and the Reintalangerhuette to the Knorrhuette (ca. 2,050m), where I stayed for the night. I had originally planned to then push right thru to the summit in the morning, take a few pics and get back the same way; but the trek from Knorrhuette to summit took me 4 hours, and it was around eleven when I finally got there. It wasn't doable to get back down to the Knorrhuette and all the way back from there to GP in the remaining daytime. So I took the easy way down. Even so, once at the bottom of the valley, near the Eibsee, I still had to hike an estimated 18 (?) kloms back to the hotel. Anyway... it was fun, exciting, tough at times, and above all beautiful Bavaria was gloriously baking in the sun with a magnificently blue canopy over it.


I hurried back to Belgovakia, did a couple of last minute chores I hadn't been able to finish, then packed the family in the good ole Outlaw Wagon which has carried us safe and sound to so many places, from Achill Island to Niedzica and from Geiranger to Lago Maggiore. And over Nuremberg we reached Prague. Now, Prague was a revelation and a shock. Can't remember if I ever saw so many palaces on so few square kloms. It was... breathtaking, and after only one day the family was in serious danger of Cultural Overkill. This is Saint Vitus Cathedral, the top attraction of Hradcany Palace, but my pitiful photo does not do right at all to the beauty and glory of Prague's Crown:





You will have to go see Prague yourself, and trust me, you won't regret it!


Then it was off via Brno and then through Slovakia to Poland's Tatra Mountains, more precisely Zakopane, where I had booked a mountain hut for a week.

Below the view from our cottage, Chata Stacha on Mount Gubawovka in Zakopane. The silhouette of the distinctive mountain you see there, the Giewont, can, with some imagination, be perceived as that of a sleeping guy, and indeed, Zakopanians refer to Giewont as 'the sleeping Knight'. 'Knight', cause the guy they have in mind is an ancient Polish King, Boleslaw the Brave.





I went up Giewont too. It's only 1894m, and it gives no problems from whatever direction you approach it. Only the last 100m or so pose a bit of a challenge, as the summit is a butte with steep sides you have to negotiate using chains fastened in the rock walls. After Giewont I hiked up the Kondracka Kopa (2005m), why not? It's just crossing the saddle between the two and then up about 250m over a decent path. Look at The Sleeping Knight's head (the part with the cloud plume is his breast, the indentation his throat, the summit his head), between it and the tree leaves to the right is the saddle and the featureless summit of Kondracka Kopa.

It was all over far too soon, and it's a damn pity time is as short in supply here as sane people, cause there's so much else I'd like to elaborate on - Cracow comes to mind. But alas. Anyway, on our last but one day we drove from Zakopane over Zywiec (famous for its beer) and Bielsko Biala to Karpacz, which like Zakopane is a bit of a mountain resort. Only thing is, the Tatras at Z-Town have alpine allures, while the mountains behind Karpacz are far lower and gentler, even though they are called the Giant Mountains. Highest among them is the Sniezka, the summit of which Poland shares with the Czech Republic. As it happens, the Sniezka, at 1,603 meters, is Czechia's highest. On the summit there's a postmodern conflagration of UFO like disks from the communist era:

I'm not a great photographer and I still got an old iPhone4, so these pics prolly don't excite wow feelings towards Central Europe, but trust me, the place is more than worth a decent vacation. So many things to see and do yet, but you won't hear me complainin' - it was oooookay.

President Trump has nominated Brett Kavanaugh to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, for whom Kavanaugh once clerked.





That's a nice little family there. A relief from unwise latina women and bitches who would prefer to lower the age of consent to 12.

Sitting here in Belgistan, it's overcast and all along the horizon is a mottled grey cloudfront whereas until yesterday the sky was bright blue with not a speck in sight. I now suspect very much that change has got everything to do with liberal doom and gloom across the Pond. Good for them!

NANTES, FRANCE. CIVIL WAR SCENES ON THE STREETS AFTER CRIMINAL SHOT DEAD BY POLICE.

Last Tuesday evening, in the western French city of Nantes, a culture enricher with a criminal record you could warm a house with during winter was accidentally shot by a police officer.

And then all hell broke loose.

Three different quarters of Nantes erupted in violent riots:

Nachdem sich das selbstverschuldete Ableben des „jungen Mannes“ im fast ausschließlich von Migranten bewohnten Prekär-Stadtteil Breil-Barberie gegen Abend wie ein Lauffeuer verbreitete, stürmten mit Molotowcocktails bewaffnete Jugendlichen die 300.000-Einwohner-Stadt Nantes. Gist of the story: "In the Western French city of Nantes, on Tuesday evening, after a notorious 22-year old criminal was shot dead by a police officer, scenes reminiscent of a civil war played out. As the news of the "young man's" sought-after death spread like wildfire in the Breil-Barberie city district (heavily populated by migrants), scores of "youths" armed with molotov cocktails stormed the streets in the city of 300,000.

"Lokale Sicherheitskräfte rückten zunächst mit einem Großaufgebot an, um die aufkeimenden Krawalle zu ersticken. Binnen kurzer Zeit sei die Lage dann eskaliert: Randalierer hätten Brandsätze auf Polizisten geschleudert, dutzende Autos angezündet, Geschäfte geplündert und sogar ein Feuer in einem Einkaufszentrum gelegt. Die Sicherheitskräfte setzten zwar Tränengas ein, um die aufgebrachte Menge auseinander zu treiben, was sich bei dem aggressiven Migration-Mob als untauglich herausstellte. Local security services tried to stem the tide. In a very short time the situation escalated: police were pelted, dozens of cars torched, businesses ransacked and even a shopping center was set alight...

The state prosecutor for Nantes, Pierre Sennès, described the situation in the evening as "very unruly and confusing". Police reinforcements from paris were called in. An inhabitant declared, visibly shocked, that he had heard "detonations": "it was burning everywhere, they tried to destroy everything".

Before a "young man" [Abu Bakr Fofana - MFBB] had been stopped during a traffic control. He swerved away with his car [under surveillance no less in a narcotics case! - MFBB] in such a way that a police officer was wounded. Local Police Chief Jean)-Christophe Bertrand stated that he was asked calmly to stop the engine, get out of the car, and accompany the police to the local precinct.

„Es hat gedauert, bis wir die Identität des Mannes klären konnten. Gegen 5:30 Uhr heute Morgen wussten wir, dass er der Polizei bekannt war“, erklärte die Polizei-Präfektin des Departements. Der 22-jährige Multikriminelle stammt aus Garges-les-Gonesse (Val d’Oise) und wurde laut Staatsanwaltschaft seit Juni 2017 per Haftbefehl gesucht. Ihm wurde unter anderem bandenmäßiger Diebstahl und Hehlerei vorgeworfen. Nun auch ein Mordversuch an einem Polizisten."

By 5:30 on Wednesday morning it became clear that the dead youngster was actually an acquaintance of the police. The 22-year old from Garges-les-Gonesse (Val d'Oise) was being sought after since June 2017 for organized theft and selling of stolen goods.


On his blog, Thomas Joly reports that scores of new Frenchmen and -women took to the streets after the riots to "demand justice for Fofana":





Which is a howler of cosmic proportions really, considering that at age 22 young Fofana was already a seasoned criminal.


After three days of riots, François de Rugy, who is Chairman of the Assemblée National (the lower chamber of French Parliament), tried to enter the Breil quartier in Nantes in order to reach out to the New Frenchmen and Frenchwomen and feel their pain, but his car was encircled by an angry mob and forced out, François Desouche reports. In the United States, this would mean that Speaker Paul Ryan would try to get into, dunno, St Louis or Baltimore after a serious riot to sob for the Trayvon Martin du jour and they had felt compelled to set the city center ablaze to calm their nerves, but that Paul would get the cold shoulder treatment.


So Paul Ryan's colleague is forced out of Breil/Nantes, it is time to wonder where Boy Macron is in all of this? Well, when Nantes was in flames he was partying in a nightclub in Lagos, Nigeria, to "celebrate African creativity":

So much so that in 2015 she rushed to their defense when some "islamophobic" tags were discovered on the Al mohsinine mosque in Nantes:

RECOMMENDED READS: STEPHEN BASKERVILLE'S "THE NEW POLITICS OF SEX".

Over at The Federalist, Paul Rowan Brian obviously has delved deep in Stephen Baskerville's new book, The New Politics of Sex.

"...Baskerville pins the blame for society’s woes on sexual radicals who are agitating directly and indirectly for the destruction of the family, and men in particular. This is a keystone book, especially in the Age of the Incel, although it’s worth noting that those who read it may go from being an incel (involuntarily celibate) to a volcel (voluntarily celibate).

Baskerville’s thesis is that the effects of the sexual revolution have led the West to the brink of social and economic ruin. Think of the inverse of “The Handmaid’s Tale”: no patriarchal dystopia but instead a bloated welfare state run into the ground by shrieking feminists and perpetually aggrieved outrage merchants justifying their own power by worsening the very problems they claim to be solving. Baskerville identifies ongoing efforts by radical feminists and homosexual activists to demonize and dismantle the two-parent heterosexual family and shows how these movements are deeply intertwined with a dangerous growth in state power and bureaucratic intrusion.

“Feminists and more recently homosexual political activists have now positioned themselves at the vanguard of left-wing politics, shifting the political discourse from the economic and racial to the social and increasingly the sexual,” Baskerville writes, adding that these groups are pursuing a “social and sexual confrontation with the private family, marriage, masculinity, and religion.”







The Honey Trap

The go-to tactic to take down families and men is basically a sort of politically correct honey trap.

“The power to define crime and sin is the claim to rule, and desecrating and discarding the old taboos is merely the prelude to issuing new ones,” Baskerville observes. First the sexually liberated promote “unimpeded freedom—especially sexual freedom—and then criminalize those—usually the men—who engage in it.”

Although he briefly acknowledges that young men shouldn’t give into the temptation to “hook up” and use women merely for pleasure in the first place, Baskerville contends that focusing on men’s partial culpability in the outer cycle of immorality ignores the more vital issue of how the trap has been set up and its purpose.

“As always, the most effective weapon for destroying men is sex, and the battle reduces to who controls the terms of sexuality,” Baskerville notes, slamming “Maoist” sexual radicals on college campuses and lily-livered academics who pay homage to feminism and outlandish gender ideologies before offering even the mildest critique of them. It’s all a recipe for doom.

“Sexual liberation cannot possibly result in any outcome other than the arbitrary and blanket criminalization of heterosexual men and from there to the collapse of the rule of law altogether,” Baskerville writes.

Interestingly, The New Politics of Sex also observes that militant communism and sexual radicalism share deep patterns of reasoning, notably viewing even reproduction itself as oppression. Friedrich Engels, for example, wrote that “the first division of labor is that between man and woman for the propagation of children.” Such twisted logic transitions seamlessly into radical feminism, where the oppressor is not the entrepreneurial class but the family itself. “A mother may love her son dearly, but he is nevertheless a member of a class that has controlled and oppressed her,” writes feminist lunatic Anne Schaef. “As a result, she cannot help but feel rage and hostility toward him.”

Baskerville quotes Harvard literature professor Ruth Wisse, who observes that feminism is a “neo-Marxist movement” that’s “done to the American home what communism did to the Russian economy, and most of the ruin is irreversible.” The New Politics of Sex takes pains to emphasize that it’s not just another book decrying moral rot but instead a wake-up call to the Right to realize all the governmental and judicial power it is ceding unnecessarily to the Left.

“Sexual ideology is more than libertinism. The inseparable corollary is authoritarian—what one scholar calls ‘punitive feminism,’” Baskerville writes, adding that offending someone is now a crime requiring “official campaigns to ‘re-educate.’”


Complacent Conservatives

Baskerville singles out the growth and expansion of divorce legislation passed in the 1970s as worthy of particular condemnation. According to Baskerville, “some 80 percent of divorces are unilateral.” No-fault divorce can speedily remove a father of his possessions, children, and wife—and overturns sacred marriage covenants without a second glance. Baskerville slams the church for not fighting hard enough against no-fault divorce, noting that “in the most critical contest between church and state begun four decades ago with no-fault divorce in the United States, the churches surrendered without a fight.”

Christians who feel hounded by hostile government policies on everything from gay marriage to abortion would do well to consider how much of the flak they’re now getting derives its toxicity and puissance from the emotionalized reasoning initially employed in expansions of divorce law from the “nebulousness of the transgression” to “the central role of the accuser’s subjective ‘feelings,’ and the presumption of guilt against the accused.”

In The New Politics of Sex, Baskerville presents a nightmare future of entitled alternative families and sexual libertines wresting control of the vast welfare state apparatus for their various short-sighted, hedonistic, and harmful agendas.

“The radicals demand not only ‘freedom from state regulation of our sexual lives and gender choices, identities and expression,’ which of course was granted long ago. The state (meaning the rest of the population) must also support these ‘households’: ‘access for all to vital government support programs, including but not limited to: affordable and adequate health care, affordable housing, a secure and enhanced Social Security system,” Baskerville writes. “Because taxation is collected through the penal system and ultimately at gunpoint, this effectively enslaves the sexually restrained to the sexually liberated.”

Baskerville hits hard at conservatives in this book, too, saying they’re too timid and complacent. He cites F. Roger Devlin’s Sexual Utopia in Power and critiques the conservative habit of denouncing misbehavior from the Left with the language and reasoning of the Left. For example, Baskerville argues that conservatives should have denounced Bill Clinton for cheating on his wife, but instead aped progressive rhetoric.

“One need only observe the zeal with which conservative political operatives abandon traditional stigmas against quaint, old-fashioned concepts like adultery or fornication and adopt sexualized agitprop jargon, whose full implications they do not and cannot comprehend, when they opportunistically accuse President Bill Clinton of ‘sexual harassment’ or Muslims of ‘homophobia,’” Baskerville writes.


Big Business Socialism

Baskerville says conservatives who complain about cultural decay are missing what’s happening right around them as their governments and institutions from the state level to the United Nations are taken over by radical feminists and sexual activists: “Conservatives see only the libertinism and individual license. Their failure to understand the collective lust for power leaves them impotent—lamenting and bemoaning the hedonistic debauchery but helpless to check the militants’ consolidation of government power.”

Feminists and other gender and sexual radicals worsen the problems they purport to solve, he says. “This trait feminism shares with other radical ideologies but carries much further: the capacity to expand its power exponentially by creating the very problems about which it complains,” he writes, adding that “in every case the alleged hardship exists, if it exists at all, only because women and children have first been separated from, and set in opposition to, the families and men that traditionally protected and provided for them—as demanded by sexual radicals themselves.”

This is where the welfare state comes in, when the man leaves, as Baskerville continues to sketch out his horrifying blueprint of a society built on reckless sexual license and feminist extremism.

“Originally justified to provide for the families of men who had been laid off during economic downturns or eliminated by war, the welfare state quickly became a subsidy on single-mother homes and fatherless children,” Baskerville writes. “In good bureaucratic fashion, that is, it immediately set in to vastly expand and effectively to create precisely the problem of poverty it claimed to be alleviating.”

The welfare state, expanded continuously for the supposed well-being of single mothers and their kids, is a way for government to intrude into the last remaining place it was formerly barred from: parenthood...."

Initially I wasn't sure I'd follow either Brian or Baskerville all along in their thesis, because so many bigshots and champions of Big Government do not exactly project themselves deviant sexual prowess (I'm thinking here about the likes of HRC or Jeremy Corbyn - outwardly they almost look asexual). But after a while I started to agree - more or less. Their personal shenanigans - or the seemingly nonexistence thereof - are irrelevant. It's their destructive encouragement to others that matters - like promoting the idea that a woman can do as she sees fit and eschew the oh so protective (and thus denigrating, at least for them scoundrels) role of a straight, true, caring male in a traditional relationship. After all, who needs males like that? When The State will take care for wretched damsels getting themselves in a mess, thru the promiscuous lifestyles championed by the political talking heads of that very same state?

Of course, history is replete with gazillions of examples of grossly deviant sexual behaviour of the minions and propagandists of said Merkels and Clintons. John Maynard Keynes, who went to the Bloomsbury's country retreat in the South Downs to screw Duncan Grant and others comes to mind, but also, for instance, in my neck of the woods Mieke Vogels of the Flemish Greens, who as Flemish Welfare Minister in 2001 launched an explicit campaign to let Flemish youngsters indulge in sex à volonté with no matter who or what. Below you see her photos plus the front of one of the accompanying brochures, enthusiastically promoting gay sex. The caption reads: "Say something, dick. Open your mouth before you have sex".





Of course, that was 2001. Advertising for sexual deviancy has gotten a tad more realistic in the years since. But to get to the point, no one in his or her right mind would ever say Mieke Vogels was a libertarian. She, too, was and is, apart from being a mouthpiece for screwing your way through life, also a Grand Champion for an ever more powerful state.
