Good article over at American Thinker by Jeffrey T. Brown. It fully exposes the power-hungry Hillary Rodham who is willing to step over the dead bodies of her minions to reach her goals for what she really is.

"...For as long as Hillary Clinton has been on the national scene, she has left a path of destruction and wreckage in her wake that is both impressive and terrible to behold. She is a testament to the extent of damage that can be done by one person determined to conquer everything before her in the quest for unlimited power and self-gratification. The only prize left to her in American politics is the presidency, which she has always felt is hers by right. Indeed, she would have attained it were it not for the upstart community organizer, a fellow admirer of Saul Alinsky, who spoke in volumes but said nothing.

While such determination comes at a staggering cost, we should remind ourselves that the bill is never paid by Mrs. Clinton or her equally arrogant husband. It is paid by the country. Before we ask yet again for the check, perhaps we should remind ourselves of exactly who this woman is who will soon attempt to seduce the country, and her history as the object of an absurd and undeserved degree of national affection.

Before accompanying her husband to the White House as our first co-president, Mrs. Clinton was working hard on becoming the person we now know her to be. As with her husband, the goal has always been the attainment of power masquerading as public service. Setting an example for the Obamas to emulate, the Clintons put self-absorption and personal victory before all else. The Clintons have always served themselves, and nothing else.




Do you recall the slime that was Whitewater, in which the Clintons dissembled and lied while their former business partners went to jail? Do you remember Mrs. Clinton earning $100,000 in profit in 1979 on a $1,000 investment over the course of only 9 months in volatile cattle futures, about which she knew nothing, thanks to help from a highly placed Tyson Foods connection? Tyson profited handsomely in Arkansas, with state loans and appointments. We are to believe that Clinton studied the Wall Street Journal to achieve a feat against which the odds were one in 250 million. Do you recall the Rose Law Firm billing records that magically appeared in Mrs. Clinton's White House office, years after they had been subpoenaed? Or the death of Vince Foster under rather extraordinary and inexplicable circumstances, and the lies and cover-up that followed? Do you recall that while testifying before congressional investigators as first lady, she answered "I don't know" or "I don't remember" 250 times?

Do you recall Travelgate, in which the Clintons destroyed reputations and careers to reward campaign donors? What about the endless parade of women, long known to Mrs. Clinton and laughably passed off by her as "ministering" to a troubled young woman in the matter of Miss Lewinsky? Nevertheless, when the truth came out, she was entirely happy to exploit the illusion of victimhood for her own martyrdom in the cause of political advancement.

Wherever Mrs. Clinton goes, destruction follows. Of course, like the current president, nothing is ever her fault. She knows nothing. She is the innocent victim of all around her, endlessly bemoaning her fate as the victim of a vast right-wing conspiracy that somehow has directed the events of her life even before there was a vast right-wing conspiracy.

Make no mistake: the Clintons, and Hillary Clinton in particular, hold the American public in utter contempt, but especially so their own supporters. How else to explain the countless frauds, crimes, and lies they perpetrate upon their devotees, whose own intellectual honesty is devalued to nothing by their loyalty? And how else besides intellectual dishonesty to rationalize somehow being a Hillary Clinton supporter?"

DETROIT IN RUINS: HOW FIFTY YEARS OF LIBERALISM DESTROYED MOTOR CITY.

"...Perhaps no other city in America illuminates the failure of Democratic Party policies more brightly than Detroit. Two stories, separated by only four, days are emblematic. On March 11, former Mayor Kwame Kilpatick was found guilty of 24 of 30 charges leveled against him, including fraud, racketeering and extortion. Four days later, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder appointed attorney Kevyn Orr as the city’s emergency financial manager, in a last ditch effort to avoid what would be the largest municipal bankruptcy in the nation’s history. From 1961 to the present, the tragic history of Detroit itself has been written entirely by Democrats such as these individuals.

It was 1961 when Louis C. Miriani, Detroit’s last Republican Mayor, lost his re-election bid. It was a well-deserved loss. Miriani was a criminal who served 10 years in prison for tax evasion. The victor in the race was Democrat James Jerome Cavanagh, the only elected official to serve on LBJ’s Model Cities task force, a program that emulated Soviet efforts to reconstruct entire urban areas in Eastern European cities. Cavanagh decided that a nine-square mile section of Detroit should follow suit, and he got a new income tax, as well as a commuter tax, through the state legislature to pay for Detroit’s very own “Model City.”

The program became a disaster when residents resisted the command-and-control edicts from Democratic mayors and federal officials, telling people where to live, what to build, and what businesses to open in return for cash, training and healthcare. As a result of such heavy-handedness, a breakdown in civil order occurred, as did the beginnings of Detroit’s precipitous population decline. On July 23, 1967, that decline was accelerated when police arrested more than 80 people at a “blind pig,” a name given to black American after-hours clubs, in the heart of Model City. Outraged residents staged the worst race riot of the 1960s in retaliation, during which businesses were looted and burned. Five days later, LBJ was forced to send in two divisions of paratroopers to restore calm. Over the next year and a half, 140,000 residents, mostly white, fled the city.

Despite such failure, Democratic policies continued to be implemented. Public employee unions were granted high salaries, exorbitant benefit packages, and allowed to implement inefficient work rules and other requirements that raised the cost of doing business in the city. The same Democrat-fostered union mentality took hold in the private sector with a vengeance, to the point where Detroit’s auto industry began moving to right-to-work states in the South in order to survive.

While this economic catastrophe-in-the-making was taking place, Democrats were also undermining the school system. By 2009, Detroit Public Schools (DPS), a system U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan called a “national disgrace,” was also put under the control of an emergency financial manager in order to prevent bankruptcy. And 2009 was the year that DPS students turned in the lowest scores ever recorded in the national math proficiency test over its then-21-year history. As of last June, only 1.8 percent of DPS students were considered capable of doing college level work, the achievement gap remained one of the highest in the nation, and 79 percent of residents said they don’t want their child educated by DPS. Moreover, by 2016, the system that had educated approximately 160,000 students as recently as 2000, will be reduced to serving less than 40,000 children.

Detroit residents have paid a heavy price for such a dysfunctional system: a mind-blowing 47 percent of Detroit residents are functionally illiterate.

Considering the quality of leaders running the city, Detroit’s descent into ruination should surprise no one. From 1974 to 1993, Coleman Young was mayor. Young may have run as a Democrat, but he was subsequently revealed to be a member of the Communist Party. His brand of “us against them” politics, essentially branding anyone who disagreed with him as “racist,” exacerbated Detroit’s descent into chaos. In 1992, his police chief was convicted of stealing $2.6 million from city taxpayers, even as Young defended him. Michigan’s hard-left U.S. Senator Carl Levin was Young’s chief supporter, serving as Detroit City Council president.

Such corruption was hardly anomalous. In 2006, former Detroit City Council member Alonzo Bates was convicted of putting a relative on the payroll, for which he served a 33-month sentence. In 2009, City Council member Monica Conyers, wife of U.S. House Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), who has represented Detroit for 47 years, pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges and served 27 months in a federal prison. As for former Mayor Kwami Kilpatrick, his corruption wasn’t limited to the aforementioned conviction. In 2008, he agreed to resign and spend 120 days in jail for two felony counts of obstruction of justice. In 2010, he was sentenced to up to five years for violating the terms of his probation stemming from the 2008 conviction.

In 2012, Kilpatrick was also linked to a dubious pension deal involving ex-Detroit Treasurer and Kilpatrick appointee Jeffrey Beasley, who has been indicted by the federal government for taking bribes and kickbacks as part of a corrupt bargain that cost two Detroit pension funds $84 million in investment losses. Last month, two more city officials, pension fund lawyer Ronald Zajac, and Detroit Police and Fire pension trustee Paul Stewart, were also indicted in the widening pension fund bribery scandal. Also in 2012, Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee Jr. retired as the result of a scandal surrounding his sexual involvement with a female officer in the department..."

Malik, the brother of President Obama, runs the Barack H. Obama Foundation, named for the president’s father. On May 30, 2011, they applied for tax-exempt status, and had their approval signed less than a month later by Lois Lerner herself, and conveniently backdated by Lois to cover the two-and-a-half years the enterprising Malik had already been raking in “tax-deductible” donations from Americans. The Washington address of the Barack H. Obama Foundation appears to be bogus, and it’s not clear whether the funds are being used back in Kenya for anything other than supporting the famously lavish lifestyle of Malik and his twelve wives. Given that the IRS is not shy about asking American conservatives for Facebook posts and lists of who attends their meetings, Ms. Lerner surely would have been within her rights to ask Malik Obama about the “exclusive” photographs currently displayed on the Barack H. Obama Foundation website of a recent meeting in Sudan, one of only four countries the U.S. government designates as a “terrorist state,” and the Foundation’s apparently extensive association with the Sudanese president and blood-soaked genocidal war criminal Omar al-Bashir. Given that the IRS likes to ask conservative taxpayers whether their friends and relatives are planning on running for office, Ms. Lerner might like to ask Malik Obama when his friend President Bashir is planning on leaving office. After another quarter million corpses?

Let’s take it as read that, when U.S. taxpayers wind up giving tax breaks to an entity linked to the butchers of Darfur, it’s pure coincidence that the racket turns out to be run by the president’s brother. Let’s accept that Malik Obama just got lucky that his letter landed on the desk of Lois Lerner, and that, when she backdated his application for two-and-a-half years, she’d momentarily forgotten that it’s illegal for her to backdate it more than two-and-a-quarter years. Indeed, let’s take the president at his word that the existence of this shadowy IRS entity working deep within the even shadowier U.S. Treasury planted in deep cover within the shadowiest conspiracy of them all, this murky hitherto unknown organization called “the Executive Branch,” that all this was news to him. What that means then is not that this or that elected politician is corrupt but that the government of the United States is corrupt.

There seems to be ever more evidence for that. Every day brings revelations that the IRS conservative crackdown went way beyond the Tea Party. McClatchy Newspapers reports that a woman known only as “Ms. Richards” in the Cincinnati office of the IRS told Coalition for Life of Iowa that their application for nonprofit status could only be approved if they signed a letter promising not to picket in front of Planned Parenthood. Mark Drabik, a military veteran, became politically active and started giving to conservative groups only to have the IRS challenge his church donations. Catherine Engelbrecht founded True the Vote to protect ballot integrity, and within a few months her family’s business, farm, and personal taxes had all attracted IRS audits. Hundreds and hundreds of groups were consigned to the purgatory of “pending” — a term for IRS customers not as favored as Malik Obama can stretch leisurely from six months to ten to twenty to thirty, and beyond. When the most lavishly funded government on the planet comes after you, eventual guilt or innocence is irrelevant: The process is the punishment..."

Can you fucking imagine that if George W. Bush's halfbrother, had he had one, had warm relations with a genocidal regime, and earned handsome money running a soi-disant do-goodery foundation with tax-exempt status in the process, the NYT, LA Times, Le Monde, CBS, PBS, MSNBC and whatnot would not have screamed blue murder about it???

Well, Obama has a half-brother like that. And if it weren't for Mark Steyn, you wouldn't know about it.

JOHN. T. BENNETT ON THE STOCKHOLM RIOTS.

Very good article over at American Thinker by John T. Bennett, of the University of Chicago no less, on the Swedish riots. Blame Whitey: the Swedish version.

"...Sweden riots expose ugly side of Multiculturalism and Immigration." That would be an accurate title for an article describing the wave of mayhem unleashed by vulgar, violent immigrants in the suburb of Husby, north of Stockholm.

The rioting is yet another example of tribalistic behavior on the part of bitter, entitled immigrants who have been unwisely welcomed into Western nations. But that's not how Reuters saw things.

"Sweden riots expose ugly side of 'Nordic model'" is the slanderous title chosen by Reuters to describe an uprising of ungrateful third-world immigrants.
In case we in America haven't caught on yet, perhaps we should take note. If the ultra-tolerant Swedes, with their giant welfare state and generous asylum policy, can't manage to satisfy the demands of third-world immigrants, then perhaps no one can.
But what is this "Nordic model," whose ugly side has been exposed? It is the "Swedish model of welfare," according to the anti-white, anti-Western hacks writing for Reuters.




That's right: when mobs of criminal immigrant youths attack police and burn cars, their behavior is the fault of the European nation that gave the immigrants a home. That home supported their lifestyle, provided education and health care, and paid the immigrants to simmer in baseless hate.
The belligerent mobs are supposedly angry that police shot a man who was threatening police by swinging a machete at them. The politically correct call this behavior "wielding a machete." The machete-swinger is of unknown nationality, but he lived in the suburb of Husby, which is predominantly Muslim immigrant.
The Reuters reporters, who evidently despise Swedes and will obediently recite any insult made about the Swedish people, have this enriching perspective to offer:

Conversations with residents of this immigrant neighborhood soon bring tales of fruitless job hunts, police harassment, racial taunts and a feeling of living at the margins that are at odds with Sweden's reputation for openness and tolerance.

Could it be that those residents are not telling the truth? Could it be that their victim mentality, like the victim mentality of so many groups in Western societies, has led them to exaggerate the scope of discrimination and concoct fairy tales of oppression? Might there even be a fundamental conflict between the values of many Muslim immigrants and the values of a secular European state? These possibilities seem not to have occurred to the Reuters journalists, who wrote this apology for violence:

Riots that began in Husby have spread across Stockholm over the last four nights in scenes reminiscent of London in 2011 and Paris in 2005- outbursts with their roots in segregation, neglect and poverty.

There we have it: the bitter fruit of white nations. "[S]egregation, neglect and poverty." The immigrants have not found opportunity, broad freedoms, or the chance to live and think as they please and or rise according to their training and talent. Instead, all the immigrant finds are "segregation, neglect and poverty."

We aren't supposed to even think that the Swedish immigrants are segregated because they are Muslim and because many hate gays, women's uncovered faces, alcohol, and even service dogs for the blind. It couldn't be that "neglect" is an idiotic term to describe the relationship between a society and immigrants; only helpless people and dependents can be neglected. All others are supposed to have enough free will and human decency to make a go at life without being coddled. And last, but certainly not least, we are never supposed to question the values or behavior of anyone who lives in "poverty."
In fact, Western nations are horrible if they don't turn immigrants into white-collar professionals by the second generation:
Metros and trains out of Stockholm center late at night are full of exhausted-looking Arabic or Spanish speaking immigrants returning home from menial jobs. Even second generation immigrants struggle to find white collar employment.

These largely Muslim immigrants, egged on by the feral press, feel that they are entitled to faster career progression and an easy path to affluence. Never mind that the immigrants are better off in Sweden than they could ever be in their native countries of Syria, Afghanistan, and Somalia...."

I hope that when the Day of Reckoning comes, all these leftozoid monsters, having crapped and pissed their entire lives on our dignified and immensely valuable Western Civilization, will pay their fair share for the godawful mess they have gotten our continent in.

"...A 22-year-old man has been charged on suspicion of making malicious comments on Facebook following the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby.
Benjamin Flatters, from Lincoln, was arrested last night after complaints were made to Lincolnshire Police about comments made on Facebook, which were allegedly of a racist or anti-religious nature.
He was charged with an offence of malicious communications this afternoon in relation to the comments, a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said.


A 23-year-old and a 22-year-old, both from Bristol, were held under the Public Order Act on suspicion of inciting racial or religious hatred.
Detective Inspector Ed Yaxley, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: 'On Wednesday evening, we were contacted by people concerned about comments made on social media accounts.
'We began inquiries into the comments and at around 3.20am two men, aged 23 and 22, were detained at two addresses in Bristol.
'The men were arrested under the Public Order Act on suspicion of inciting racial or religious hatred. Our inquiries into these comments continue.
'These comments were directed against a section of our community. Comments such as these are completely unacceptable and only cause more harm to our community in Bristol.
'People should stop and think about what they say on social media before making statements as the consequences could be serious.'
Police confirmed the two men were later released on bail pending further inquiries..."

It wasn't bad enough that that sorry excuse for a Prime Minister David Cameron had the nerve to say that the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby was “not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life, it was also a betrayal of Islam. . . . There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act.”

It wasn't bad enough that that Boris Johnson opined that islam was not to blame for it.

No, it had to get to this. While Anjem Choudary was given a free forum on Al Beeb to condone the murder, two genuine Britons were arrested for 'offensive' tweets. The same Choudary whose extremist organisation al-Muhaijiroun can be linked to one in five of every muslim terrorist convicted in the UK over the past decade. Anjem Choudary REFUSED to condemn the two barbarians and is a FREE MAN. Two English blokes post 'offensive' tweets and are lifted from their beds at 3.20am.

If this man were still around...




... then that ASSHOLE Ed Yaxley, 'Detective Inspector' of Avon and Somerset Police, would be shoveling horseshit in the extreme north of the Shetland Islands before the end of the week.

It's been a dreadful week again. First of all I want to express my sincere condolences to the American people because of the death toll in Oklahoma. The scale of these tornadoes is something like a completely alien concept for Europeans. Especially heartbreaking was that there were so many children among the victims.

Then over to Woolwich, London, where two muslim monsters butchered a British serviceman in broad daylight.

As grisly as the circumstances are, this sad news does not surprise me in the least. It is what is bound to happen if you import the paedophile worshippers on a grand scale, let them run sharia courts and grovel for them and their backward 'religion' in the dirt.

I am actually equally shocked by the behaviour of Belgium's 'prime' newspaper De Standaard, since they outdo themselves AGAIN in their coverage of the murder.

I have very little time and must limit myself to two screenshots of their online version.

Not only do they manage to not once use the M-word. Or the J-word (J for Jihad). Or the I-word (for islam). In short, the JIM acronym.



They even dare to write that the perpetrators shouted 'GOD IS GREAT', see below.

BELGIUM: THREE MUSLIM SENATORS IN FEDERAL PARLIAMENT INTRODUCE LAW PROPOSAL THAT WOULD MAKE 'ISLAMOPHOBIA' A CRIME.

On April 30, The Gatestone Institute's Soeren Kern had an excellent article titled 'Belgium erasing Christianity for Islam'. This is how it starts:

"...Under the guise of letting go of the Christian holidays, this text provides Muslims with a waiver to add Islamic holidays…. Six Belgian senators introduced a draft resolution in the Belgian Parliament that would make "Islamophobia" a crime punishable by fines and imprisonment. A person would be guilty if he "considers Islam to be violent, threatening or supportive of terrorism…" or "considers Islam to be a political ideology, used for political and military purposes to establish it hegemony." If passed, the law would pose a devastating blow to the exercise of free speech in Belgium."

Kern's column first dwells on typical multiculti insanity of which you may already have heard here and there, such as the efforts of (primarily) socialist politicians to have the names of typical Christian holidays scrapped in favor of names which are more 'senstive' to our wonderful cultural enrichers (Winter Vacation instead of Christmas Holiday and such), the replacement last winter of the Christmas Tree on Brussels' Grote Markt by an atrocity of steel tubes etc etc etc. But towards the bottom section he focuses again on the effort of six senators, three of whom are muslim (Quelle surprise!!!) to introduce a law that would make islamophobia punishable:

"...The survey, which was published by the daily newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen on April 19, shows that 60% of Muslim youth believe that they will never be integrated into Belgian society. One in three of those surveyed say that he or she has been discriminated against at school, and one in five say they have been discriminated against at work. More than 50% say they have been victims of racism. Although 93% of those surveyed have Belgian citizenship, 42% of them say they consider themselves to be foreigners.

The results are virtually unchanged from a similar survey conducted in 2005, and imply that years of government efforts to make Belgium more multicultural have done nothing to change the minds of Muslim youth.

According to the Flemish Minister for Integration, Geert Bourgeois, Muslim youth should work harder and complain less. "That so many young people feel discriminated against and do not feel accepted means that our society still has a lot of work to do. It's actually an 'us-them' story. We as a society can and should still make an extra effort, but conversely, Muslim youth should do more as well. Perhaps an inverted research shows that we just think that young Muslims do not belong because they do not want to belong," Bourgeois said.

If Belgian multiculturalists have their way, however, asking Muslims to do more to integrate into Belgian society may soon become a criminal offense.

In February, six Belgian senators (three of whom are Muslim) introduced a draft resolution in the Belgian Federal Parliament that would make "Islamophobia" a crime punishable by fines and imprisonment.

The draft text -- which, among other objectives, seeks to equate "Islamophobia" with anti-Semitism -- is audacious in scope and if passed would pose a devastating blow to the exercise of free speech in Belgium.

According to the authors of the resolution, a person would be guilty of Islamophobia if he or she:

Considers Islam to be a single monolithic bloc, closed and static, incapable of adapting to new situations;
Considers Islam to be separate and "different," devoid of having any aims or shared values ​​with other cultures, not influenced by other cultures and not influencing other cultures;
Considers Islam to be inferior to the West, to be barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist;
Considers Islam to be violent, threatening and supportive of terrorism, actively engaged in a 'clash of civilizations';

This definition of Islamophobia, which is based on a 1997 report published by the London-based Runnymede Trust, would effectively outlaw any critical discussion of Islam in Belgium under the guise of combatting racism.

The draft resolution has outraged free speech activists, who are demanding more public scrutiny of what they say is a "draconian" measure that is contrary to liberal democratic values. But the sponsors of the text remain unapologetic.

In an interview with the daily newspaper Le Soir, Senator Richard Miller from Wallonia accuses critics of the resolution of trying to make the draft text say things it does not say.

Miller, a member of the same Mouvement Réformateur that has accused other Belgian politicians of pandering to Muslims, claims his measure is not meant to prohibit the criticism of Islam, but only to "fight against those who often use a variety of arguments, with the result of creating unease in the Muslim population."

Here are the identities and party affiliations of said senators:

a.) BERT ANCIAUX (SP.a, Flemish Socialists): we can be short on this guy. Belgian readers, insofar as they have their head screwed on right, will nod understandingly upon reading the following words: 'Bert Anciaux is a lunatic. Bert Anciaux is a lunatic. b.) FAUZAYA TALHAOUI (SP.a, Flemish Socialists). Classic example of an islamic Trojan Horse. At first sight educated, 'progressive' (harumph), 'enlightened' (harumph) muslim woman (think Mona Eltahawi), on second sight even more inclined to pave the way for the bearded apes.

c.) AHMED LAAOUEJ (PS, Walloon Socialists). I don't know this dork, thank God. The fact that this muslim politician has found solace in the arms of the Parti Socialiste must be a coincidence I suppose.

d.) FREYA PIRYNS (Groen!, Flemish Greens). See a.) Just substitute 'he' with 'she'. Except (remember the law proposal dates from February already) if Bert has by this time completed his thrilling journey into the exploration of his feminine side.

e.) ZAKIA KHATTABI (Ecolo, the Walloon Greens). See c.) There really ain't much difference anymore between reds and greens.



And the sixth senator? Ah, that one deserves special mention. For one thing, he does not belong to a party of the usual suspects, but to the MR, the 'Mouvement Reformateur'. His name is Richard Miller, see also Kern's last paragraph. I'll spend some more time here on this particular individual since his behaviour is a perfect illustration of how the leftist madness is spreading through ALL the echelons of Belgian politics except the VB and the Belgian Front National of course (I may be the only Belgian with a party membership card of both).

Well, Richard Miller is a fella who has experienced firsthand what 'intifada' means. Except, deluded as he is, he does not see it that way.

In January 2009, Brussels was in turmoil for the umpteenth time because muslim youths, upon hearing of an Israeli incursion in Gaza, decided to wreak havoc in Brussels' streets. The caption hereunders reads: 'CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DURING GAZA DEMO IN BRUSSELS'.

And Miller? When I read that name in Soeren Kern's article, I knew I had come across that fella before. After some hard thinking it was gotcha! MELANIE PHILLIPS ON THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY.

A must-read: a passionate and eloquent defence of the traditional family by Melanie Phillips, over at Daily Mail Online, May 3, 2013:

"As a university-educated young woman with hippie-style hair and an attitude, I, too, generally toed the standard Leftist line in the late Seventies and early Eighties.

Poverty was bad, cuts in public spending were bad, prison was bad, the Tory government was bad.

The state was good, poor people were good, minorities were good, sexual freedom was good.

And pretty soon I had the perfect platform for those views when I went to work as a journalist on The Guardian, the self-styled paper of choice for intellectuals and the supposed voice of progressive conscience.

The paper and I fitted each other perfectly. If I had been a character in one of the Mister Men books, I would have been Little Miss Guardianista.

Those of us who worked there had a fixed belief in our own superiority and righteousness. We saw ourselves as clever and civilised champions of liberal thought.

I felt loved and cherished, the favoured child of a wonderful and impressive family.

To my colleagues, there was virtually no question that the poor were the victims of circumstances rather than being accountable for their own behaviour and that the state was a wholly benign actor in the lives of individuals.

It never occurred to us that there could be another way of looking at the world.




Above all, we knew we were on the side of the angels, while across the barricades hatchet-faced Right-wingers represented the dark forces of human nature and society that we were all so proud to be against.

But then Margaret Thatcher came to power in 1979; and although at The Guardian it was a given that she was a heartless, narrow-minded, suburban nightmare, I found myself listening, despite myself, to a point of view I had not heard before.

These Thatcherites were not the usual upper-class squires, but people whose backgrounds were similar to my own.

They were promoting the values with which I had been brought up in my Labour-supporting family — all about opportunities for social betterment, hard work, taking responsibility for oneself.

I always believed a good journalist should uphold truth over lies and follow the evidence where it led.

Trudging round godforsaken estates as the paper’s special reporter on social affairs, I could see the stark reality of what our supposedly enlightened liberal society was becoming.

The scales began to fall from my eyes. I came to realise that the Left was not on the side of truth, reason and justice.

Instead, it promoted ideology, malice and oppression. Rather than fighting abuse of power, it embodied it.

Increasingly, I saw how journalists on highbrow papers write primarily for other journalists or to impress politicians or other members of the great and the good.

They don’t actually like ordinary people — especially the lower middle class, the strivers who believed in self-discipline and personal responsibility.

They dismiss them as narrow-minded, parochial and prejudiced (unlike themselves, of course).

But I always wrote with ordinary people in mind.

Just as they were sceptical of intellectual abstractions, fantasies or Utopian solutions, so was I.

Bit by bit, I saw through the delusion of the Left’s supposedly ‘progressive’ politics.

Increasingly, I turned away from their stupidity, hypocrisy and moral blindness.

They, of course, dismissed me as contemptibly ‘Right-wing’, as if that was sufficient to destroy my argument.

But I am not ideologically driven. I hate the way political debate has been polarised into warring camps, with each side circling its wagons and striking ever more inflexible, dogmatic and adversarial positions.

My battle with the Left has never been from ‘the Right’, despite what they say.

How can I be ‘Right-wing’ when I am driven by the desire to make a better world, stand up for right over wrong and look after the most vulnerable in society?

Rather, I fight the Left on its very own purported moral high ground, which I once believed we all shared, but which I came to realise it had most cynically betrayed.

The defining issue for me — the one that launched me on a personal trajectory of confrontation with the Left and with my colleagues and friends — was the persistent undermining of the family as an institution.

By the late Eighties, it was glaringly obvious that families were suffering a chronic crisis of identity and self-confidence.

There were more and more divorces and single parents — along with mounting evidence that family disintegration and the subsequent creation of step-families or households with no father figure at all did incalculable damage to children."

It's a long article, but well worth your time.

I have afew points to add. First, it turns out that Mrs. Phillips is yet another influential former Lefty who at some point 'saw the light'. She is thus an exemplar of that small but nevertheless not-negligible group of high-profile converts, such as Jean-François Revel or Ronald Reagan. You will forgive ole Outlaw some smirking since me, myself and I NEVER went through an ideological flip: all my life, I've been rightwing. Center-right when I came of age, solidly right at present. If anything, I have only shifted more and more to the right. I think I have come to a standstill in that regard, since I have no intention of becoming an "extreme rightwinger". FYI, I don't believe in the current defintion of 'extreme right': in my opinion, an extreme rightwinger is somewhat with very strong libertarian views AND ethically conservative. Off the top of my head, I can only think of one person who would, from a distance, fit those criteria: James Delingpole. The popular conception of 'extreme right': black leather-clad idiots favoring the Hitler salute is bogus. I piss on that filth. They are extreme LEFTWINGERS who happen to be in the grip of an atavistic fascination for Germany's military prowess during WWII, and their intellectual foundation is as thin as carbon paper. Thinner. But I digress.

Second, I don't follow Melanie when she writes "How can I be ‘Right-wing’ when I am driven by the desire to make a better world, stand up for right over wrong and look after the most vulnerable in society?" As if not striving for a better world, fight for good to prevail over bad and caring for the downtrodden of this earth could never be sincere rightwing aspirations. It's just that we have a firmer sense of what is reasonably possible, that we do care about, say, the environment but are not prepared to go back living in caves, and generally want to see justice done as much as Mrs. Phillips does.

Lastly, several assertions in her story confirm what has become ever more clearly to me over the years, especially the last decade: the Left is NOT INTERESTED IN HONEST DEBATE. It just wants you to SHUT UP if you disagree with them. And the more well-founded your POV is, the more they will be inclined to take that 'shutting up' a step farther: to the courtroom at least, and to jail if possible.

A couple of days ago I came across a rather depressing Mark Steyn item on NRO, 'Excluded by the inclusion cops'. It tells the story of a certain 'Inspector' Nicky Veerappan, of Toronto's York Regional Police 'Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau', who basically told the rabbi of a Toronto synagogue to shun scheduled speaker Pamela Geller, a very vocal anti-jihad and anti-honour killing activist, "or else".

At first assuming said 'Inspector' Veerappan to be one of those multiculti-brainwashed self-loathing white twats, possibly because of his name, which sounded Finnish to me, today however I found out Nicky Veerappan is in fact... a muslim.

PROMISED LAND STAR MATT DAMON UPON BEING TOLD HIS ANTI-FRACKING MOVIE WAS CO-FINANCED BY OIL-RICH UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: "QUE?????".

As you may or may not know, leftozoid Airhead/Bubblehead Matt Damon made an anti-fracking movie, Promised Land (2012), in which he plays an oil company's land acquisitioner whose task is to persuade Pennsylvanian farmers to cheaply sell their lands so that they can be used for fracking. So in most of the movie, he's actually the 'bad guy'. Only towards the end learns he that, in his talks and meetings with PA villagers, he was deliberately kept unaware that an environmentalist who at one point almost managed to get the villagers not to sell but was revealed to be a fraud, was in fact also employed by his boss, to make Damon's character, and thus the oil company, look more trustful.

In other words it's them mean old capitalists again, read 'fracking industry bosses kill babies!!!!!!'. Come to think of it, killing Pennsylvanian babies is actually the realm of others, but you can be absolutely sure Damon won't make a movie about that.

Anyway, Phelim McAleer, an Irish director who made the pro-fracking documentary FrackNation, in the next video exposes media darling Damon as a clueless fool (at best), when he confronts him with the fact that one of the funders of Promised Land is a Middle Eastern media company wholly owned by the United Arab Emirates, an OPEC-member.

A NEW BIRTH OF PIZZA.

I'm trying to be optimistic, and luckily there's some ground to be. Treatment has been good overall, my response was every time they checked positive. I am now in the last phase of the treatment, for the time being at least, since the kind of cancer I have cannot until now be cured completely, i.e. as things stand now it can always recommence. However, the young and competent Dr. F. here at a particular University Clinic near Brussels has assured me I should be able to look forward to, say, perhaps 5 years without worry of it breaking out again. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that in five years research has advanced sufficiently to enable complete healing. By the way, you should know that MASSIVE research IS being done day and night all over the world, covering the entire spectrum of all known cancers, and great inroads are made - I could see that for myself by comparing articles written in 08 to ones written as recently as autumn 2012. I actually think the War against Cancer is being won - slowly but surely.

Thing is, in this final leg of the cure I have to take the utmost care to avoid infection of all kinds, since my immune system is as good as down, courtesy the last chemo. That also means severe restrictions on food in my case. I have to make do with prepackaged sterile bread and yoghurts and one spartan warm meal of only a handful of ingredients. Urgh.

And the weird thing is....

... I find myself thinking of and longing for all day long for... PIZZA.

Sheesh! Never knew I could almost litterally be dying (no pun intended) for pizza so much. Not that spongy stuff they sell you in a Pizza Hut, thank you not so very much. But a REAL, GENUINE PIZZA they actually bake for you right under your nose in the oven in a veritable pizzeria. Up until now I never bothered too much about pizza's names, read I wouldn't be able to identify them judging by their toppings. When ordering some, I always took the one with at least 75 per cent of the toppings I liked.

And now it turns out the sought-for Ideal Outlaw Mike Pizza does not exist!!! Time for adding an annal to the History Of.

Searching the web, and knowing I like, apart of course from the tomato sauce and/or the chopped canned tomatoes, also sweet green or black olives, anchovy (a must), finely sliced ham, and mushrooms and mozzarella, it seemed to me the pizza that came closest to my ideal was the Pizza Quattro Stagioni. However it CAN'T be complete without an egg smack in the middle, and a real FAT, glittering, huge bulbous egg sunny side up at that.

People being dumb the world over in alarming numbers, I of course found no one who had ever had this Groundbreaking Idea of adding the fried egg in the middle before. This also means the accompanying pic is but an effort to convey my important invention to you:




In honour of the Italians - thank God he created them darn spaghettis, and accidents like Belgium's PM Elio Di Rupo happen anyway, otherwise we'd live in a pizzaless world - I have decided to apply a fully Italian name for my invention, so it's not gonna be Pizza Four Seasons with Egg according to Outlaw Mike but Pizza Quattro Stagioni con uovo secondo Fuorilegge Michele. A New Birth of Pizza!!!

Apart from that, drifting in and out of sleep images of Poland's most famous soup also keep spooking my fuzzy brain. Like with the pizza, it's gonna be at least another ten days before I will taste it again courtesy severe hygienic (pfah!) restrictions on OM's menu. What soup am I talking about. It's called Zurek.

Zurek is basically a sour rye soup made of soured rye flour (comparable to sourdough) and meat (usually boiled pork sausage which the Poles call kielbasa, or pieces of smoked sausage, bacon or ham). The soup itself, though not clear, is quite liquid, certainly not viscous, and, unlike basically all western salt-based soups, tastes sour. You got to like it - I certainly do. Add morsels of boiled potato and halved hard-boiled eggs, and it's delicious. From our travels to Poland I recall that around Zakopane we sometimes ate żurek in an edible bowl made of bread!

Anyway... try it if offered the chance. You're bound to become an aficionado.

400 PPM CO2 MILESTONE, RISING SEA LEVELS: BELGIAN TV BROADCASTER HEADING FOR THE HILLS.

Panic in Brussels!!! The commercial TV broadcaster VTM had an item about a milestone of paramount importance that has just been passed, namely 400 ppm CO2! VTM's news anchors pissed their pants because never before has there been more CO2 in the air!!!

While alarmingly rising sea levels are forcing the VTM staff to escape to Belgium's 'roof', the High Fenns (and I figure on the Baltia Tower, alt. 700m, there's just enough room for Jill Peeters and cronies, we will now listen to retired Professor Don Easterbrook from Western Washington University, who on March 26, 2013, gave a devastating testimony before a Washington State Senate Committee against the belief that human induced CO2 is causing global warming. Via American Thinker:

"Although many greens in Washington State were earlier trying to use lower snow packs in the Cascade Mountains as evidence of global warming, such arguments have fallen by the wayside as the snows of Rainer have returned and continue to mount since the late 1990's after a 20 year period of mediocre snowfalls (1976-1996). In early April 1999, Paradise Ranger Station on Mt. Rainier (+14,411) recorded a whopping 280 inches of snowpack on the ground -- which is over 23 feet. That same year, Mt. Rainier's twin sister to the north, Mt. Baker (+10,750), broke the all-time snowfall record for one year with 1,140 inches (95 feet -- snowfall does not record snowpack, only the accumulation of each particular snow event) at its ski resort. The previous all-time record for snowfall in one year was held by the Paradise Ranger Station itself when 1,122 inches of snow fell in the winter of 1971-72. By mid-April of 1972, there was 302 inches of snow on the ground at Paradise, which is over 25 feet. That Washington State snow is very wet and heavy also indicates that such deep snowpacks are profound indeed. In other words, the Washington Cascades are some of the snowiest mountains on earth. Though the Cascades are certainly localized to the Pacific Northwest, they are still important weather barometers.


Throughout the 20th century, Paradise Ranger Station (+5,400 feet) was known for its absurdly high consistent snowfalls and snowpacks. Between 1920 and 1980, Paradise usually recorded a snowpack greater than 200 inches (almost 17 feet) 4 to 5 times out of each decade. In particular, the decade of 1945-1956, and then again from 1966-1976, were characterized by very deep snowpacks. The average snowpack between 1945-1956 was an incredible 231 inches, and then 225 inches between 1966-1976, far surpassing the average snow packs of the 1930s, which was 188 inches. In comparison, even the very snowy 1920s only averaged 200 inches of snow.

However, the great snows between 1945-1976 came to an abrupt end by the spring of 1977 in which Paradise only had 126 inches of snow on the ground, barely over ten feet. More modest snow packs continued on up until the spring of 1996. Between 1976-1996, the Paradise Ranger Station surpassed the 200 inch mark only twice -- in the springs of 1982 and 1984. This was a very marked change from previous decades.

As such, the 1997 hefty spring snowpack at Paradise of 258 inches (almost 22 feet), was actually a harbinger of much snowier winters to come. Since 1997, Paradise has surpassed the 200-inch mark eight times. Even this last winter, which was very quiet for Pacific Northwest standards, Paradise still showed a snowpack of 197 inches in mid-April -- just 3 inches shy of that exceptional 200 inch mark.

Since 2006, Paradise has averaged a very snowy 205 inches of snowpack each year, compared to only 168 inches between 1976-1996. Even more incredible, on June 1st 2011, Paradise still had a snowpack of 201 inches -- it is off the charts to have so much snow on the ground so late in the year. Since 1996-97, Paradise has averaged 196 inches of snow pack each year, which is actually a very high number because such consistency spans almost two decades. The snows of Rainier have thus been perfectly consistent with Easterbrook's contention that 1940-75 represented a cooling trend, and that the warming trend of 1976-1997 was halted by the present cooling trend that began in 1998.

In other words, in spite of the fact that global warming advocates have been complaining that the weather of the 21st century has so far been the warmest on record, it is simply not true. According to Easterbrook, such hand-wringing is not based on original raw data, but has been created from computer model adjustments that artificially elevate the warmth of this last decade and purposefully devalue the truly warm decade of the 1930s -- the Dust Bowl years. Easterbrook states 1936 was the hottest year as far as modern records are concerned, but he also pointed out that in ages past, the earth was far warmer than it is now. Easterbrook went on to say the planet is still in the process of coming out of the Little Ice Age (1300-1850), and that the warm-up began long before human induced CO2 could have been the culprit."

SO sad that I have to watch day after day after day how our gullible population is being spoonfed on a daily basis data which are at best one-sided and at worst downright fraudulent.

That quote is from Rep. Smith (R-New Jersey) and if you haven't heard yet about the Kermit Gosnell trial that's because the MainStreamMedia isn't doing its work, and that's not surprising. After all, what happened at Gosnell's 'clinic' is one of the inevitable consequences of legally enabling abortion on a nationwide scale. It's proof, for the umpteenth time, of the disastrous effects on society of yet another leftist dada.

It's appalling. Pundit and Pundette is just one among many rightwing blogs that have been trying for months to make this abhorrent story known nationally. I DO hope it will get a fair amount of attention in Europe too, but I doubt it given the high degree of enlightenment here. Anyway:

"Making this noise" "like an alien"? That's called crying. It's what human babies do when they're in distress, in this case, the ultimate distress. The "aliens" here are the inhuman monsters who caused that distress.

So . . . if a baby screams during an outside-the-uterus "abortion," does it make a sound? Or, to put it another way, if an abortionist goes on trial for murdering infants, but the media refuses to cover it, is it really happening? And does America care?

This time the scream is loud and clear, but nobody's listening.

Massof, who is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to the murder of two newborns at the clinic, revealed Thursday that he witnessed an abortion at 26 weeks - two weeks beyond the 24-week limit in the state.

He also claimed he saw about 100 babies born alive and then 'snipped' with surgical scissors in the back of the neck, to ensure their 'demise'.

He also spoke of the gruesome scenes at the clinic which was allegedly found dirty and rundown with rusting surgical instruments.

'It would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place. It is literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body,' he told NBC.

He also alleges the clinic's ultrasound machine was manipulated to make fetuses appear smaller and therefore younger.

Dear God in heaven."

I've been battling cancer since late November and frankly, after yet another day's hard work, and coming home late after visiting several clients, I just wanted to sit down and relax a little. This newsreel however, seen at noon, baffled me so much that I felt I really had to preserve the key shots for posterity. May, in a saner age, people watch them and realize how all over the western world such blatant leftist bias and the deliberate spreading of falsehoods to the gullible population really, truly was an omnipresent feature of our times, not only in Belgium. To be sure, right at the beginning of the newsreel there was one - one - chap sitting in a cafe who thought that Thatcher 'was someone who meant what she said and did not come back upon it'. It could be catalogued as s positive opinion. See? In EEN's news report there was room for the good and the bad, which in its vocabulary means 'fair and balanced'.

You can also learn from this coverage that at the time of Thatcher's tenure all British workers were miners, and that apparently the entire country lies in waste at the moment.

THOMAS SOWELL: 'GUNS SAVE LIVES'.

Merely looking at the faces of Jared Loughner, James Holmes and Adam Lanza, it's clear that already prior to their acts of terror they belonged in a High Security Funny Farm. As anyone with an objective mind and who has spent a minimum of time on basic research knows, guns, or rather the free possession of guns in the US, was not the problem with the murders committed by these loons. The mere fact that people of the calibre of Loughner and Lanza would have found guns and assault weapons ANYWAY, even in a country with strict gun control laws, is such a glaring truth that it is difficult to believe people can believe otherwise. No. It seems to me the mental health of these individuals was the problem. And it also seems to me that there is an undeniable correlation between mental health and being brought up in a dysfunctional family.

We all know one of the main reasons for dysfunctional families: the war that's being waged on traditional families, in its fifth decade now, by the Left.

Leftists have a habit of creating havoc in a society. Afterwards they will always propose bad solutions for problems of which they were the cause.


Thomas Sowell has a very astute angle on the gun control debate, albeit not from the mental health angle. But it is very much worth a careful read. From Townhall, April 2, 2013, 'Guns save lives':

"We all know that guns can cost lives because the media repeat this message endlessly, as if we could not figure it out for ourselves. But even someone who reads newspapers regularly and watches numerous television newscasts may never learn that guns also save lives-- much less see any hard facts comparing how many lives are lost and how many are saved.

But that trade-off is the real issue, not the Second Amendment or the National Rifle Association, which so many in the media obsess about. If guns cost more lives than they save, we can always repeal the Second Amendment. But if guns save more lives than they cost, we need to know that, instead of spending time demonizing the National Rifle Association.

The defensive use of guns is usually either not discussed at all in the media or else is depicted as if it means bullets flying in all directions, like the gunfight at the OK Corral. But most defensive uses of guns do not involve actually pulling the trigger.

If someone comes at you with a knife and you point a gun at him, he is very unlikely to keep coming, and far more likely to head in the other direction, perhaps in some haste, if he has a brain in his head. Only if he is an idiot are you likely to have to pull the trigger. And if he is an idiot with a knife coming after you, you had better have a trigger to pull.




Surveys of American gun owners have found that 4 to 6 percent reported using a gun in self-defense within the previous five years. That is not a very high percentage but, in a country with 300 million people, that works out to hundreds of thousands of defensive uses of guns per year.

Yet we almost never hear about these hundreds of thousands of defensive uses of guns from the media, which will report the killing of a dozen people endlessly around the clock.

The murder of a dozen innocent people is unquestionably a human tragedy. But that is no excuse for reacting blindly by preventing hundreds of thousands of other people from defending themselves against meeting the same fate.

More children may die in bathtub accidents than in shooting accidents, but you are not likely to read that in most newspapers or see it on television newscasts. Some in the media inflate the number of children killed by counting as children the members of criminal teenage gangs who shoot each other in their turf fights.

Many seize upon statistics which show that Britain has stronger gun control laws than the United States and lower murder rates. Yet they ignore other countries with stronger gun control laws than the United States, but which have much higher murder rates, such as Brazil, Russia and Mexico.

Even in the case of Britain, London had a much lower murder rate than New York during the years after New York State's 1911 Sullivan Law imposed very strict gun control, while anyone could buy a shotgun in London with no questions asked in the 1950s.

Today, virtually the entire law-abiding population of Britain is disarmed-- and gun crimes are vastly more common. Gun control laws make crime a safer occupation when victims are unarmed..."

Well said, or rather written. Too bad these wise words will, as usual, get lost in the wind forever for five hundred million Europeans who are deliberately kept dumb by their moral betters and their mercenaries the whorenalists.

RECEP TAYYIP ERDOGAN, EMPEROR OF HYPOCRITES.

Good article over at American Thinker by Steven Simpson, Turkey's Erodgan and the Zenith of Hypocrisy:

"Turkey's Islamist prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is once again engaging in his favorite political pastime - Israel-bashing.
Late last month at a U.N. convention held ironically to promote religious tolerance, Erdoğan lambasted Israel by calling Zionism "a crime against humanity." Indeed, Erdoğan even outdid the biggest anti-Israel institution in the world - the United Nations - which in 1975 passed its infamous "Zionism is Racism" resolution.

But Erdoğan's continuous contempt for Israel shows the arrogance and hypocrisy of Turkey. For if there has ever been a country in the Middle East guilty of committing crimes against humanity, it is Turkey. Indeed, next to Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, 20th-century Turkey ranks right up there when it comes to massacres, rapes, expulsions, and rapine perpetrated against ethnic and religious minorities - namely Armenians, Greeks, and Kurds.
Before documenting Turkey's crimes against other people, it should first be noted that today's Turkey has for all intents and purposes become an Islamic republic in everything but name only. The so-called "Turkish-Israeli" alliance has been in tatters since Erdoğan came to power in 2003. Aside from veering Turkey on an Islamist course - and cause - the Turks (even with Obama's "apology tour" that began in Turkey back in 2009) remain extremely anti-American. This writer back in 2010 documented Erdoğan's democratic ascent to power, his ideology and goals, and what an Islamist Turkey means to America, Israel, and the West in general.

This now leaves us with Erdoğan's hypocrisy in lecturing Israel about supposed "war crimes" and leads us to actual war crimes perpetrated by Turkey during the 20th century - crimes that still go on today against the Kurds. It is a record that not only has caused oceans of blood to be spilled, but still has repercussions felt to this day.


Probably the most well-known war crime that Turkey engaged in was the slaughter - if not genocide - perpetrated against the Armenians in the first two decades of the 20th century. In fact, the Turks were already slaughtering Armenians in the late 19th century in what has come to be known as "the Hamidian massacres." Estimates of the slaughter range from hundreds of thousands to millions. In any event, Turkey has consistently and constantly denied that such crimes against the Armenians took place. Turkey is so sensitive to the charge of genocide that when the U.S. Congress in 2010 finally passed a resolution condemning this crime, Turkey threatened "serious consequences" to the "partnership" between America and Turkey. Ironically, Barack Obama, who had the audacity to say back in 2007 that "nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people," sought to stop the congressional resolution on the Armenian genocide.
Continuing with Turkish war crimes, and the hypocrisy of the neo-Ottoman crypto-Sultan Erdoğan, there were the massacres and expulsions of the Greeks from their ancestral homelands. This is another Turkish crime against humanity that is little-known, and even less spoken or written about. "The Pontian Genocide" took place between the years of 1916 and 1922. Again, estimates vary in the casualty rate, but the slaughter could have been as close to 1,000,000 Greeks killed. This doesn't even take into account the surviving 1.5 million Greeks who lived in Asia Minor (Anatolia) for millennia before being expelled by the Turks to European Greece during this era.

Finally, there are the Kurds. If there was ever an authentic Middle Eastern minority of Muslims that deserves a nation-state, it is the Kurds. While Islamist governments in Iran and Turkey (as well as the Arab world) talk about "Islamic solidarity" when it comes to the so-called "Palestinians," there is not even a syllable of talk regarding the plight of the Kurds. The Kurds have been killed and suppressed by Arab, Persian, and Turk for centuries, all of whom see the legitimate aim of the Kurds to establish their own state as a threat to the status quo of continuous Arab, Persian, and Turkish imperialism.
While the Kurds are spread out over Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Turkey, it has been in the last country that the Kurds have basically been written out of history by the Turks. The Turkish quest to deny any semblance of a Kurdish existence has been so bizarre that Turkey even banned the Kurdish language during the years 1983-1999 and routinely referred to them as "mountain Turks." To this day, Turkey routinely crosses the Syrian and Iraqi borders to fight against "Kurdish terrorists."

This background on Turkish war crimes is just a brief sketch of the brutal actions that Turkey has committed over the decades (if not centuries). The next time the arrogant, bellicose, and venomous Erdoğan along with his fellow Islamists lectures Israel about "crimes against humanity," they should look in the mirror and admit to true war crimes..."

Erdogan is nothing less than a scoundrel, having even the nerve to exhort Turks living in Western countries to remain Turks and not to integrate.

DENNIS PRAGER ON THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA.

The older I get the more I tend to think that to hold leftist views is actually a sign of mental derangement. One cannot deny that the efforts of the 'Old Left' during, say, the first half of the twentieth century in securing essential rights for the working class, women, the elderly, deserve the highest praise. But somehow, somewhere in the mid-sixties, things started to go wrong for the left. Perhaps it was modern media which brought home to westerners the appalling conditions in which the greater part of humanity still lived, thereby inducing guilt for 'having it so good'. Perhaps it was a series of vicious nest-crapping philosophers - Derrida, Sartre, Marcuse - who made it their life project to poison the minds of generations of students.

Either way, since let's say the sixties the Left generally pursues goals and interests that are simply harmful to our own people and our own societies. A good example is given by Dennis Prager in a column over at Creators.com:

MARIJUANA: ANOTHER GIFT OF THE LEFT TO AMERICA'S YOUTH.

"Denver television station CBS4 reports that Colorado has seen a sharp spike in marijuana use among teenagers since Colorado voters passed Amendment 64 last November legalizing recreational use of the drug. As described in The Economist, along with a Washington State measure also legalizing marijuana, Amendment 64 is "an electoral first not only for America but for the world."

That means two American states are to the left of the Scandinavian countries, Holland, and every other liberal country regarding marijuana.

CBS4 quotes a number of local high school students:

"I've seen a lot more people just walking down the street smoking (joints)," high school student Irie Johnson said.

"In high school it has kind of gotten out of hand," student Alaina Tanenbaum said.

According to the CBS4 report, based in part on data from a local drug testing lab: "Experts say the test results show that children are getting higher than ever with alarming levels of THC, marijuana's active ingredient, in their bodies."

The massive increase in both the number of users and the amount of marijuana used by young people is precisely what I, and many others, predicted.

It was easy to predict.

When something desirable is made easier to obtain, more people will obtain it. It is difficult to imagine an exception to this common sense observation.

So, legalizing marijuana is foolish because it leads to far more use of the drug and the availability of ever more potent forms. But the foolishness doesn't end there. Equally foolish is that as a society we have made peace with marijuana while making war on tobacco. This has been a classic example of upside down thinking, and we are reaping exactly what we have sown. We have produced a generation of young Americans who would never put a cigarette or cigar near their lips but who increasingly get high on pot.

Yes, tobacco -- specifically cigarettes -- kills and marijuana doesn't.

But, forgive the ultimate political incorrectness, young people would do much better in life if they smoked tobacco rather than weed.

First, tobacco doesn't kill young people. When it kills, it generally kills much older people. Moreover, according to a recent issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, if you stop smoking cigarettes by age 44, you will lose only one more year of life than a person who never smoked.

Second, regular pot smokers increasingly tune out of life, becoming what are known as potheads, or, to put it bluntly, losers.

Third, as noted in the CBS4 report, "new studies that have been published say the risk of a car accident increases two-fold after someone consumes pot." In other words, innocent human beings -- sometimes whole families -- are more likely to be maimed, paralyzed and killed by pot smokers than by cigarette smokers.

For myriad reasons, then, I would far prefer my teenager indulge in cigarettes -- not to mention cigars -- than pot. Anyone who thinks that pot is less harmful to a teenager than tobacco is fooling himself -- and his teenager.

If this is not obvious, ponder these questions: Would you rather your airplane pilot smoke pot or tobacco while flying? How would Britain have fared in World War II if Winston Churchill had smoked pot instead of cigars?

In terms of the effects of tobacco and pot on the smoker while smoking, there is simply no comparison between pot and tobacco.

What the left has done to America's youth in the last 40 or so years is so damaging as to be unforgiveable. They have ruined public school education; left them with so much debt that they will likely be the first American generation to live materially inferior to the their parents; and robbed their innocence with sex education classes, now beginning in kindergarten in Chicago and elsewhere. Now they are making marijuana available to more kids and in greater potency than ever before.

But they have left them with higher self-esteem."

Damn right.
