"Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous," Trump tweeted.

He went on, “As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cummings' district is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.”

Trump was immediately attacked as racist for his tweets, since Baltimore is 53 percent black. However, if black people are what these accusers think of when they see the word “infested,” maybe they’re the real racists.

Trump appears to have brought up the conditions in Baltimore after watching an episode of “Fox and Friends” Saturday morning with guest Kimberly Klacik of the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee, who is black. She laid out how bad things are in Baltimore. Parts of the city are covered in trash, with rats running around everywhere. Buildings sit vacant. Baltimore has the highest homicide rate among major cities in the country.

Klacik was viciously attacked after her expose, and countered, “The people I spoke to asked me to get the word out about the trash in hopes of it being removed. I honored their wish. End of story.”

She retweeted a woman who said, “So let me get this straight, it’s not racist to be elected as a representative to help the district you represent, have it be rat infested and in unlivable conditions for your constituents but being called out on your failure to run a district is the act of racism?”

Cummings responded on Twitter to Trump by dodging the accusation and bringing up prescription drug coverage instead. Even though he’s represented areas in arguably the worst big city in the U.S. for years, he would rather change the topic than address and try to fix the problem.

This wasn’t anything new that Trump brought up. In 2016, Bernie Sanders tweeted, “Residents of Baltimore’s poorest boroughs have lifespans shorter than people living under dictatorship in North Korea. That is a disgrace.”





Where were the calls to label Sanders a racist in 2016? Crickets. No one apparently cares about a predominantly black community run by Democrats. Except when Republicans — including Republican blacks — point it out; then they’re accused of being racist.

Disgusting conditions in large blue cities run by Democrats has become the norm. San Francisco, which is represented by Nancy Pelosi in Congress, has a problem with poop everywhere because its left-wing leadership chooses to coddle drug addicts and keep homeless on the streets.

Trump continued tweeting later in the day on Saturday, “Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA......”

He added more on Sunday, “There is nothing racist in stating plainly what most people already know, that Elijah Cummings has done a terrible job for the people of his district, and of Baltimore itself. Dems always play the race card when they are unable to win with facts. Shame!”

Trump retweeted an interview by Klacik with a black woman in Baltimore who is fed up with Cummings over conditions in Baltimore. She agreed with Trump about Cummings; Cummings hasn’t done anything for the people of Baltimore. She says Klacik is the only one helping them — instead people need to put Klacik in office and give her Cummings' job. She’s never heard anyone say anything about Cummings. Why is he taking care of people at the border, when people in his district are hungry and need a place to stay? “He worries more about them than his own people,” she complained. She pointed out that the last time her neighborhood was thriving was in 2003. She says folks will come around and film houses that look nice on the outside, but in reality, they’re torn up inside.

Klacik followed up with the woman, named Michelle, about whether CNN was accurate by calling Trump a racist for bringing up the despicable conditions in Baltimore under Cummings. Michelle responded, “Trump is not racist, not to my knowledge. I’m glad that he pointed it out. I’m glad he put it on blast. … Cummings never did anything for us while in office like I said. … These rats didn’t just come. They’ve been like this. If he would take the time to come over here, and see how things are, maybe he could be better at his job.”

It’s really like the emperor has no clothes. Hardly anyone dares to criticize these big blue cities for fear of being called a racist since city leadership is often black. But these are black Democrats, not black Republicans. So it’s not a racial thing. Sadly, the wretched conditions are allowed to continue with no end in sight. And blacks disproportionately suffer. Who are the real racists? Those who shut down criticism of the leadership of these cities. "

Terribly depressing, as per usual, that instead of acknowledging the obvious, namely that Baltimore IS a shithole, at least 95 per cent of the media in the West focus on Trump's alleged 'racism'.

The left in our country often suggests that people who stand up for Western civilization are supporting a racial hierarchy. The fact is that the history of the world is one of arbitrary tyrannical abuse and control. Poverty has been the standard fare for a vast majority of mankind. America became the exception to what life was like. That exceptionalism inspired imitators, and our vision of freedom and liberty spread to what has become known as the Western world."

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday.

Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study.







″Ecological refugees will become a major concern, and what’s worse is you may find that people can move to drier ground, but the soils and the natural resources may not support life. Africa doesn’t have to worry about land, but would you want to live in the Sahara?″ he said.

UNEP estimates it would cost the United States at least $100 billion to protect its east coast alone.

Shifting climate patterns would bring back 1930s Dust Bowl conditions to Canadian and U.S. wheatlands, while the Soviet Union could reap bumper crops if it adapts its agriculture in time, according to a study by UNEP and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.

Excess carbon dioxide is pouring into the atmosphere because of humanity’s use of fossil fuels and burning of rain forests, the study says. The atmosphere is retaining more heat than it radiates, much like a greenhouse.

The most conservative scientific estimate that the Earth’s temperature will rise 1 to 7 degrees in the next 30 years, said Brown.

The difference may seem slight, he said, but the planet is only 9 degrees warmer now than during the 8,000-year Ice Age that ended 10,000 years ago.

Brown said if the warming trend continues, ″the question is will we be able to reverse the process in time? We say that within the next 10 years, given the present loads that the atmosphere has to bear, we have an opportunity to start the stabilizing process.″

He said even the most conservative scientists ″already tell us there’s nothing we can do now to stop a ... change″ of about 3 degrees.

″Anything beyond that, and we have to start thinking about the significant rise of the sea levels ... we can expect more ferocious storms, hurricanes, wind shear, dust erosion.″

He said there is time to act, but there is no time to waste."

"The name of the square in Eilendorf district of the western German city of Aachen has been changed to "Moscheeplatz (Mosque Square)" with a ceremony held on Tuesday, with an aim of highlighting the importance of tolerance and unity.

The square is home to the Aachen Yunus Emre Mosque, which operates under the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB).

Speaking at the renaming ceremony for the 2,100-square-meter center, Turkey's Consul General in Cologne Ceyhun Erciyes said that by taking this decision, the local authorities showed that the mosque is a beautiful reflection of harmony, integration, tolerance, unity and solidarity.

Erciyes stressed that, in light of the rise in anti-Muslim, anti-migrant hatred that some have incited to divide societies through fear, "We must raise our voices together against those who are fed by fear and hatred, and we must demonstrate our friendship and solidarity as it is here today."

Speaking at the ceremony, Aachen Mayor Marcel Philipp of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Party expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the name-change, noting that renaming streets and squares is not an easy process in Germany.

"I am very happy as the mayor because there is a Mosque Square in our city," he added.

The ceremony was attended by DITIB Secretary General Abdurrahman Atasoy, Chairman of the Mosques Association Abdurrahman Kol, Aachen Police Chief Dirk Weinspach and Eilendorf District Mayor Marianne Conradt, along with various other politicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations and residents of the district."

IN MEMORIAM DYMPHNA.

Two days ago, June 23, I checked out Gates of Vienna, whom I consider to be the guys in the next foxhole in the Counterjihad - not that I want to imply DowneastBlog has the magnitude of GoV - and to my great shock and dismay I read the following in a post written on June 17:

"Dymphna died suddenly last night, or more accurately, early this morning. I took her to the emergency room early in the evening; she had a high fever and a terrible cough. But it didn’t seem like anything that could ever be fatal.

I will be pretty much out of action until at least after the funeral, so this blog is officially on hiatus for a while. I’ll be back, though, when I’m ready to handle things again.

Tipsters are advised not to send any more news feed tips until you see another post appear here besides this one.

I’ve been up all night, so that’s all for now."

GoV is and, hopefully, will continue to be a treasure trove of myriads of facts and anecdotes detailing the seemingly irresistible invasion of our civilized countries by the gruesome death cult that is islam.

I frequented often, commented from time to time, and slowly got acquainted, if only digitally, with the owners, though more so with Dymphna. As fleeting as these contacts were, they sufficed to me to leave a lasting impression of her as a gentle, friendly and deeply caring person. Caring not only about our beautiful civilization, but also caring for her friends and loved ones, above all her soulmate. I have no reason to suppose that their marriage was anything other than a sound and deeply fulfilling one, and as such I can imagine - or rather no, I cannot imagine - the pain the Baron must go through now.

When I checked in again on GoV today I found out the Baron posted a photo of his late spouse, which I will now put up on these pages too. I will readily admit that I did not ask permission for this to the Baron, but something tells me he would approve... as would Dymphna herself. Correction, as Dymphna approves. Gates of Vienna and DowneastBlog were and are partners in the same fight, and besides, this is what Dymphna's husband wrote:

"I buried my wife late yesterday afternoon in the graveyard of our little rural church in Central Virginia. The Episcopalian service was everything that one could have hoped for, and I know that Dymphna was pleased with the liturgy, the music, and the fellowship in the parish hall after the Committal.

A year or two ago, after a discussion about this eventuality, Dymphna gave her assent to the publication of the photo below. It was the only photo of her that she would allow to be posted. It was taken a number of years ago, in happier times."

ALARMING: MUSLIM EXTREMISTS INFILTRATING FRENCH PUBLIC SERVICES.

"French media have leaked details from a report on Islamic extremism within the French public service, claiming that many in the public sector are concerned about Islamist infiltration.

The new report, which has been compiled by MPs Éric Diard of the conservative Republicans and Éric Poulliat of President Emmanuel Macron’s La République En Marche! (LREM/Republic on the Move), questioned senior officials, researchers, and workers such as police and firefighters about Islamic radicalisation.

According to leaked information from the report given to French news magazine Le Point, many of those interviewed by the MPs expressed concern over the issue, with one of the most poignant stories coming from a trade unionist from the RATP, the company in charge of the public transportation system in Paris. The trade unionist claimed that “premises are forbidden to women in terminals” and added that “practising Muslims are targeting non-practising female believers”.





Police also said that they had difficulty dealing with radicalised officers after they were discovered, citing a lack of legislation to help them dismiss those found to be radicalised.

Last year, it was revealed that a police officer in charge of the security for the staff of the satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine may have become radicalised after viewing radical Islamist material.

In January 2015, the offices of Charlie Hebdo were attacked by radical Islamic terrorists who killed 12 people, the majority of the victims being staff at the magazine.

In 2017, it was also revealed that despite being on the terror watch list, known in France as the S-File, another individual was able to become a police officer.

Nicolas Lerner, the head of the General Directorate for Internal Security DGSI, France’s domestic intelligence agency, also warned that religious spaces are no longer the only sources of radicalisation and added that educational environments “requires a certain vigilance” in combatting radicalisation."

A fire brigade chief was confronted with a muslim fireman who did not function well during emergencies because he was fasting during ramadan. Exasperated, the Chief had to enlisten the help of an imam to try to tell the individual that in this line of work, eating during the day was allowed.
