A movie I would rate 6.5 on a scale of ten. It's an interesting topic, but I found Bowie's performance so outlandish and alien that it kind of spoiled it for me. At one point some character, I think it was Tom Conti in the role of Lt Col Lawrence, says that Major Celliers, Bowie's persona, is a kind of 'born leader' ... while Bowie's character struck me as so ut-ter-ly hyperindividualistic and incongruous in the man's world that is the military (at least back then) that there's no way Celliers could ever effectively lead and inspire men in combat.

What I found also weird, although perhaps not inconceivable in reality, is the homoerotic angle, with the camp commandant, Captain Yonoi, played by Sakamoto himself, developing an attraction for Celliers. This aspect made me sometimes wonder about how homosexuality is perceived in Japanese society. I may be wrong, but I kind of have the impression that the condition was throughout the island nation's history never treated with the same antagonism as it was in the West. The West has a long history of treating homosexuals very badly (and while I am absolutely against gay marriage and especially gay adoption, we would do well to acknowledge the abuse), but insofar as I gave the matter some attention, I missed the same negative sentiment among Japanese. IIRC, Mishima was a flaming homosexual, yet to the best of my knowledge he never had to endure a Wilde or Turing treatment.

Anyway, if I'd have to sum up aspects or projections I deemed realistic in the movie, it would have to be Jack Thompson's performance as RAAF Group Captain Hicksley, spokesman for the allied prisoners. The mental image I still retain of him, thirty years beyond my first viewing of the film, is that of a soldier's soldier, who fits so well in his uniform he might just as well have made a succesful career in the military. I hear that in Australia he was quite some actor, and played Breaker Morant in some drama about the Boer Wars - amongst others. But that's another topic altogether.

BELGIAN WOMAN KIDNAPPED, ABUSED BY TUNISIAN GANG FOR TWO MONTHS IN SAN REMO, ITALY.

Via HLN, but I'll present here an English language version (not a stellar one) by Afrinik: "BELGIAN WOMAN (32) ABDUCTED BY SIX TUNISIANS IN SAN REMO: "TIED TO A BED AND ABUSED FOR TWO MONTHS."

"The Italian court is conducting an investigation into abhorrent facts about which a Belgian woman (32) has fallen victim in Sanremo. “Six Tunisians are accused of kidnapping the woman,” it says. “They tied her to a bed with ropes and raped her for two months.”

The horror occurred in a house in the resort of Sanremo during the winter of 2017, between January to February. The story was recently brought to light in a newspaper connected to La Stampa.

A construction shows that the suspects approached the victim and later assailants her on January 10, 2017. The woman, who has a residence on the French Côte d’Azur, wanted to buy drugs from them. She did not know, however, that the men would lure her into the trap.

Tied up in bed

The Tunisians succeeded in separating their victim. The men, one of 50 years, two of 32, the rest 38, 30 and 23 years, took the woman to the house of one of them. There they tied their victim with ropes to a bed and raped her.

To make sure that she would not escape, they guarded their victim. Through her guards she was used again and again as a sex slave. But it did not stop there.

After all, the Tunisians saw a potential source of income in the woman by using her as a prostitute. They then let the woman also abuse by other men, against payment. That’s how it went for two months. Whether the woman managed to escape after that period, or whether the men let her go, is not clear.

Next week, on January 25, the woman testifies during a special hearing prior to the trial. Then more details about the abuse must become clear. The six Tunisians would currently have been arrested. The charges against them are kidnapping, sexual abuse in groups, exploitation and complicity in prostitution."

I feel very sorry for her, but, how should I put it? She's 32. Apparently attractive enough, since 6 rapists abused her for two months. Apparently living alone and detached, otherwise a partner would have straight away alerted the authorities. Apparently still barren, there's no mention of kids missing their mom. And she wanted to buy drugs from an African gang...

Which I find, ah, not very conductive to the notion that this would be your typical Vlaams Belang voter. Rather, from what I can discern between the lines, this is exactly the kind of woman voting for socialists and greens. An Open Borders advocate, almost certainly.

Panicked female abortion zealots are offering their body parts to keep Ginsburg alive. Abortion zealot Alyssa Milano offered her ribs, kidneys, and a lung to Justice Ginsburg. Notice the intense passion to do whatever necessary to freely kill babies in the womb.

In 2018, abortion was the number-one cause of death worldwide; over 41 million children were killed before birth. Again I ask, why is this horrifying stat cause for leftists to celebrate?

"The Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) unit revealed in a year-end report that in total, about 2,737 pounds of fentanyl were seized in Fiscal Year 2018, along with 7,103 pounds of heroin, and 225 pounds of chemicals used to make these deadly drugs.

“At the forefront of the fight, HSI seized more than 11,000 pounds on fentanyl and opioids in Fiscal Year 2018,” the report notes. “Combating the spread of opioids is a key part of the agency’s narcotics enforcement efforts.”

The nearly 3,000 pounds of fentanyl is enough to kill about 600 million individuals, nearly twice the population of the U.S. where about 330 million residents live.

Additionally, HSI officials say the amount of fentanyl seized in the U.S. last year is equivalent to seizing more than 4 million pill dosage units.

As Breitbart News’ John Hayward has reported, fentanyl deaths in the U.S. have skyrocketed and coincided with the country’s lax immigration and border enforcement.

“Fentanyl is a powerful and deadly synthetic drug often mixed with other street drugs to make them more potent,” Hayward writes. “It is largely manufactured in China and pushed across the porous southern border into the United States by Central and South American gangs. It kills tens of thousands of Americans every year.”

Drug overdoses in 2017 killed an unprecedented 72,287 U.S. residents, nearly three times the number of individuals killed by global terrorism. Nearly 50,000 of those deadly overdoses were caused by either heroin or fentanyl."

I must admit that the opioid crisis in the US only began to register with me after I read Lee Child's novel "The Midnight Line" last summer. It's about Child's protagonist, Jack Reacher, going in search of the owner of a West Point class ring he found in a pawn shop, and discovering it belonged to a horribly maimed Army vet addicted to fentanyl.

And late last year there was the signing into law by President Trump of a bipartisan bill aimed at combating the terrible cost of this deadly drug.

From the Stop The World I Want To Get Off It Department reaches us the glorious news that the Belgian State will repatriate the two children of a couple of Syria fighters with Belgian nationality. The children were born in the caliphate, in Raqqa. Via HLN:

"Ready my kid's bike grandma, and allow no one else in my room". These are the words of 4 year old toddler Maria who will travel to Belgium with her little sister at the end of the month. The two were born in Raqqa, Syria, and are the offspring of two Syria fighters. Soon they will stay with their grandparents in Beringen [in Limburg, a province in the East of Belgium; MFBB].

Amina Ghezzal (29) from Beringen and the Moroccan-Belgian Abdelkarim Elouassaki took to Syria five years ago to join the ranks of terror organization IS. There they got two kids, Maria (4) and Sirin (2). The father died in battle, whereafter mother Amina Ghezzal with her two children fled across the border to Turkey. She distanced herself from the caliphate and wanted to return to Belgium.

The woman from Beringen has been in a Turkish jail for a year now. Since then the grandmother tried a whole year long to get the two to Belgium, and now she succeeded. "You cannot imagine how happy we are", says grandma Rachma Ayad (52). "Now it's only counting down two weeks. We did not get the exact date yet, but it has lasted long enough now".

A couple of points:

1.) Apparently Grandma Rachma Ayad and gramps Ghezzal did a magnificent job integrating their daughter seamlessly into Belgian society, imbuing her with so much love for this magic kingdom that she felt compelled to follow her holy fighter to Syria.

2.) Grandma Ayad, no doubt a chemical engineer, doctor in medicine, nuclear scientist or else IT specialist, is 52. Which, if things continue the way they do, will soon be the age at which about half of our our desperate cream white housewives decide to have that sole designer kid. Or how when it comes to demographics our muslim co-citizens eclipse us now not only in quantity but in generations too. Progress!!!

3.) Daughter Amina Ghezzal and her beau Abdelkarim Elouassaki said FU to Belgium, ran off to ISIS territory, and had two kids there. By their lifestyle one could easily guess the siblings were in for a very happy and comfortable childhood. Not. Since the two are now incapable of raising Maria and Sirin - in particular for Mr. Elouassaki it would be a tough job - it is com-ple-te-ly understandable that the Belgian taxpayer picks up the tab for the baby food, diapers and Play-Doh stuff. As for me, I cannot wait to do my part for paying for the flight tickets. And for the child allowances!!!

4.) Rest assured that this jihadi offspring will be taught "BELGIUM BAD - ISLAM GOOD".

5.) Give it another year at the most and the Turks will send Amina back to Belgium. She'll make a fine nurse or secretary, I'm sure of it.

SUNDAY NIGHT ART SNACK: GIACOMO GROSSO (1860-1938).

Giacomo Grosso (1860, Cambiano – 1938, Turin) was an Italian painter. Quite early, the Cambiano Town Council recognized Grosso's talent and paid for a scholarship at the Accademia Albertina in Turin in 1873. After schooling by a.o. Andrea Gastaldi, Grosso debuted in 1882 at the 24th Esposizione della Società di Incoraggiamento alle Belle Arti di Torino, and finished his studies in 1883.

The year after, he further established his fame with a work inspired by the author Giovanni Verga's La storia di una capinera in Turin's Esposizione Generale Italiana. In the following years he became a regular guest of the Parisian art scene, and he began to expose on international exhibitions: in Paris in 1896, Munich in 1899, and San Francisco in 1915. By now he became acclaimed as a portraitist.

In 1901 he made his first journey to South America and he received commissions from Argentina. In 1910, for the International Centenary Exhibition in Buenos Aires, he executed a huge commemorative canvas of the Battle of Maipú (1818), which actually took place in the Chilean War of Independence. From 1906 he held the chair of painting at Turin's Accademia Albertina, and, after entering in politics, became a senator for the Kingdom of Italy in 1929. He died in Turin in 1938.

In a BBC interview he said: "I've got no respect for any law other than Allah's, so I don't care about the law to be honest... I care for the law of Islam. I don't care for the law of any man."

July 8. An opinion essay published by the Guardian claimed that a new a new art exhibition in Florence reveals the "deep connection" between Europe and Islam:



"Embodied in the Renaissance view is certainly a sense of Islam as the other. But it is intertwined with curiosity, respect, even awe. There is a willingness, too, to reach beyond the otherness of Islam and to see the Muslim world not as demonic or exotic but as a variant of the European experience....

July 9. Amanda Spielman, the head of Ofsted, the schools regulator, accused Muslim groups of having a "sense of religious or cultural entitlement" and attempting to exert an outsize influence on school policy:

July 12. Thousands of Muslim pupils in Blackburn, Burnley, Hyndburn, Nelson, Preston and Rawtenstall were instructed to boycott all school meals when they return to class in September. The move followed the decision by the Lancashire County Council to stop supplying schools with unstunned halal meat, and instead to serve meat from pre-stunned cattle and sheep.




July 13. Sophie Rahman, the former head teacher of Eton Community School, a primary school in Ilford, was banned for life from teaching after it emerged that she had allowed the "London Bridge jihadi," Khuram Butt, to teach Arabic classes after school at the facility. Butt reportedly told children that non-Muslims were the "worst creatures" and that it was acceptable for them to lie to their parents. A panel found Rahman guilty of unacceptable professional conduct. She confirmed that the last day Butt taught the children was June 2, 2017. The next day, Butt, along with Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba, plowed a van into people on London Bridge before launching a knife rampage around Borough Market. The attackers were shot dead by police officers.

July 15. Samantha Lewthwaite, a 34-year-old British convert to Islam, was reported to be recruiting suicide bombers to target summer holidaymakers in Britain, Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Turkey. The mother-of-four — known as the White Widow after her jihadi husband, Germaine Lindsay, killed himself along with 26 others in the 2005 London suicide bombings — was feared to have recruited up to 30 jihadis, who have been taught how to build suicide vests and choose their own targets. An intelligence source said:



"The White Widow hates Britain and everything the West stands for. She has completely turned her back on her country and her former life. She has mentored dozens of female terrorists and favors white converts to Islam because she feels they attract less suspicion by the security services."



July 17. The Independent reported on an inquiry which found that the British government received information detailing the activities of Muslim pedophile gangs in Rotherham as far back as 2002 but failed properly to act on it, apparently out of fear of being accused of racism. A large-scale inquiry was not launched until a decade later, after a Times report on the scale of grooming in Britain provoked a national scandal. Sarah Champion, Labour MP for Rotherham, said it was clear that the Home Office knew about child sexual exploitation in Rotherham since 2002:



"Why, when so many in authority knew the scale and severity of this crime, did it take until 2014, with the publication of the Jay report, for a large-scale investigation to occur? How many lives could have been protected if swift action had been taken a decade before?"

Welcome to this week's Thank Allah it's Friday, with Garyx Wormuloid telling us a thing or two about Memento.





As for me, Memento blew me away just like Reservoir Dogs or The Usual Suspects or Track 29 did. Trivia fact: neither of the main protagonists, Pearce, Moss and Pantoliano, were the director's first choice. For the role of Leonard, Christopher Nolan had actually wanted Brad Pitt. Pitt did read the script, and was interested, but for one reason or another it didn't go thru. However, Guy Pearce knew that Pitt had read the script, and because of that cred gave it a try himself, and was on board. Besides Carrie Ann Moss, Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd and Famke Janssen were also contenders for the role of Natalie, and Moss wasn't even in the lead. Somehow however, she got it. And because of that, she was able to push Joe Pantoliano, her Matrix co-star, for the role of Teddy - while previously, Alec Baldwin had been considered.

Speaking of Pearce, Moss and Pantoliano, where the heck are all of them now?

From now on Anuna (17) will skip class every Thursday for the climate: "What's a missed hour of mathematics, if you can also demonstrate for a better climate?"

And boy, did the message about skipping math class fall on deaf ears. Not. A couple of days later 4,000 youths skipped class to demonstrate in Brussels. For the climate. Again, via HLN:

"Eight days ago Anuna De Wever (17) and Kyra Gantois (19) decided to skip class every Thursday, to protest in Brussels and ask for attention for the climate. Yesterday was Day 1 of their action and - fasten your seat belts - a staggering 4,000 students demonstrated in Brussels. "I'm so fucking glad!"

You don't say. Indeed, what's a paltry 4,000 missed hours of mathematics? 8,000 by the week after? 16,000, 32,000, 640,000??? The Climate warming up is more important. Let Chinese and Indian schoolchildren study mathematics and let us demonstrate! Progress!!!

Granted, that's in the old massif of the Harz region. From Schierke, elevation some 600 meters or so, you can climb the Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz, some 1142m if I'm not mistaken. The train is a steam train that takes tourists up to the summit and back. But even so, snowfall like that is extraordinary.

PRESIDENT TRUMP'S SPEECH ON BORDER SECURITY.

"My fellow Americans, tonight I'm speaking to you because there is a growing humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border. Every day, customs and border patrol agents encounter thousands of illegal immigrants trying to enter our country. We are out of space to hold them, and we have no way to promptly return them back home to their country. America proudly welcomes millions of lawful immigrants that enrich our society and contribute to our nation, but all Americans are hurt by uncontrolled illegal migration. It strains public resources and drives down jobs and wages. Among those hardest hit are African Americans and Hispanic Americans. Our southern border is a pipeline for vast quantities of illegal drugs including meth, heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl.

Every week 300 citizens are killed by heroin alone. 90% of which floods across from our southern border. More Americans will die from drugs this year than were killed in the entire Vietnam War. In the last two years, I.C.E. Officers made 266,000 arrests of aliens with criminal records including those charged or convicted of 100,000 assaults, 30,000 sex crimes, and 4,000 violent killings. Over the years, thousands of Americans have been brutally killed by those who illegally entered our country and thousands more lives will be lost if we don't act right now. This is a humanitarian crisis. A crisis of the heart, and a crisis of the soul. Last month, 20,000 migrant children were illegally brought into the United States, a dramatic increase. These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs. One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico. Women and children are the biggest victims, by far, of our broken system.

This is the tragic reality of illegal immigration on our southern border. This is the cycle of human suffering that I am determined to end. My administration has presented congress with a detailed proposal to secure the border and stop the criminal gangs, drug smugglers, and human traffickers. It's a tremendous problem. Our proposal was developed by law enforcement professionals and border agents at the department of homeland security. These are the resources they have requested to properly perform their mission and keep America safe. In fact, safer than ever before. The proposal from homeland security includes cutting edge technology for detecting drugs, weapons, illegal contraband and many other things.

We have requested more agents, immigration judges to process the sharp rise in unlawful migration fueled by our very strong economy. Our plan also contains an urgent request for humanitarian assistance and medical support. Furthermore, we have asked congress to close border security loopholes so that illegal immigrant children can be safely and humanely returned back home. Finally, as part of an overall approach to border security, law enforcement professionals have requested $5.7 billion for a physical barrier. At the request of Democrats it will be a steel barrier rather than a concrete wall. This barrier is absolutely critical to border security.

It's also what our professionals at the border want and need. This is just common sense. The border wall would very quickly pay for itself. The cost of illegal drugs exceeds $500 billion a year. Vastly more than the $5.7 billion we have requested from congress. The wall will also be paid for indirectly by the great new trade deal we have made with Mexico. Senator chuck Schumer who you will be hearing from later tonight has repeatedly supported a physical barrier in the past along with other Democrats. They changed their mind only after I was elected president.

Democrats in congress have refused to acknowledge the crisis and they have refused to provide our brave border agents with the tools they desperately need to protect our families and our nation. The federal government remains shutdown for one reason, and one reason only, because Democrats will not fund border security. My administration is doing everything in our power to help those impacted by the situation but the only solution is for Democrats to pass a spending bill that defends our borders and reopens the government. This situation could be solved in a 45 minute meeting. I have invited congressional leadership to the white house tomorrow to get this done. Hopefully we can rise above partisan politics in order to support national security.

Some have suggested a barrier is immoral. Then why do wealthy politicians build walls, fences, and Gates around their homes? They don't build walls because they hate the people on the outside but because they love the people on the inside. The only thing that is immoral is the politicians to do nothing and continue to allow more innocent people to be so horribly victimized. America's heart broke the day after Christmas when a young police officer in California was savagely murdered in cold blood by an illegal alien, just came across the border. The life of an American hero was stolen by someone who had no right to be in our country. Day after day, precious lives are cut short by those who have violated our borders. In California an air force veteran was raped, murdered, and beaten to death with a hammer by an illegal alien with a long criminal history.

In Georgia, an illegal alien was recently charged with murder for killing, beheading, and dismembering his neighbor. In Maryland, ms-13 gang members that arrived in the United States as unaccompanied minors were arrested and charged last year after viciously stabbing and beating a 16-year-old girl over the last several years I have met with dozens of families whose loved ones were stolen by illegal immigration. I have held the hands of the mothers and embraced the grief stricken fathers. So sad, so terrible. I will never forget the pain in their eyes, the tremble in their voices, and the sadness gripping their souls. How much more American blood must we shed before congress does its job? To those that refuse to compromise in the name of border security, I would ask, imagine if it was your child, your husband, or your wife whose life was so cruelly shattered and totally broken. To every member of congress, pass a bill that ends this crisis.

To every citizen, call congress, and tell them to finally, after all of these decades, secure our border. This is a choice between right and wrong, justice and injustice. This is about whether we fulfill our sacred duty to the American citizens we serve. When I took the oath of office, I swore to protect our country, and that is what I will always do so help me god. Thank you and good night."

Almost to the day two years ago, I endorsed Donald Trump for President. I did so not because of any conservative credentials, but because I was convinced he was the only one with a sporting chance to beat Hillary Clinton.

Today, I can only conclude that a man who in his previous life never gave the impression of being a Conservative, certainly rules like one. This is a man who truly, deeply, loves his country and its citizens and is committed to defend it and all the good things that it has stood for so far.

President Trump is a godsend, a Righteous Man for our troubled times.

Lookie look, Belgium's prime newspaper De Standaard has a story to tell about an attack by leftist radicals on an AfD politician:

"Frank Magnitz, Chairman of the extreme rightwing party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) in the German region Bremen, on Monday became the victim of an attack.

The man was admitted to hospital with severe wounds, according to a statement from his party..."

Really De Standaard? Wow, thank you for enlightening us. And for the nice photo of Mr Magnitz.


Now for a reality dose. This is Mr Magnitz in his current state in a hospital in Bremen:

Mr Magnitz studied banking, pedagogy and for a short while jurisprudence. In between, for a couple of months in the late sixties, he was a member of the DKP, the Deutsche Kommunistische Partei, but as Winson's saying goes, "if you're not a socialist at twenty yada yada yada etc etc etc". We will forgive him his youthful foolishness. Anyway, towards the end of the seventies Mr Magnitz founded a company for construction materials, which he sold again in 1999. Since then, he has been a consultant in the building sector and a succesful local real estate mogul.

And now for the cincher: he is heterosexual, married (to a Turkish woman), and the father of six children. Aaarggghhhh!!!

So that's why. Mr Magnitz is a highly successful, decent, (massively) contributing, law abiding citizen, whose very lifestyle breathes conservatism, and our red and green cocitoyens just can't-have-that. The famous leftist tolerance at work!

DowneastBlog wishes Mr Magnitz a speedy recovery and congratulates him for bravely standing up for sanity and common sense in a Europe that's becoming more batshit crazy every day.

2019 CULTURAL ENRICHMENT OFF TO A GOOD START IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM.

DowneastBlog is proud to posthumously present the first Darwin Award of the year to Mr. Bertrand Louiset, former manager of the Monoprix supermarket in Joué-lès-Tours, Fwance! Via François Desouche:

"The victim's body was found at his home, six days after the murder. The victim would be Bertrand Louiset, former manager of the Monoprix des Deux Lions.

He was sheltering a 22 year old migrant from Côte d’Ivoire. The latter was arrested on 17 december 2018 and has confessed to the killing of his host.

The motif for the murder has to be determined yet, but according to our sources, a violent dispute would have erupted between the victim and the suspected killer. Bertrand Louiset would have asked the man he had been offering shelter to leave the apartment.

The young migrant would then have killed Bertrand Louiset with 28 knife stabbings.

The murderer arrived in France on a student visa, which had expired because of insufficient exam results."

Bertrand Louiset in happier times. In 2015, Mr Louiset distributed for free expired, but still edible food from his supermarket among migrants. He was quoted as saying “Si tout le monde faisait comme moi, il n’y aurait plus besoin d’associations !”. "If everybody did like me, there would be no need for NGO's!"

If everybody did like him, there would be no Europe anymore.




In Molenbeek, Belgium, our muslim model citizens feted New Year's night by looting a pharmacy, destroying public infrastructure and burning cars. The fire from the latter spread to some houses close by. When firecrews and medical personnel arrived, they were pelted with stones, shot at with fireworks, and their vehicles vandalized. A police officer claims that the rioters were simply too numerous and that they had to withdraw: "We were powerless."

IMPRESSIVE MUSLIM INTEGRATION EFFORT IN MANNHEIM, GERMANY.

Via Gates of Vienna, first a video about a German pharmacist in Mannheim, who is the last native German with a business in 'Little Istanbul' there:





The fool is 'grateful' for his Turkish customers, even though he admits that they prefer the Turkish personnel he has had to hire to interact with, "because they can speak with the patrons in their own language". Also, he states that without the Turks, 'Little Istanbul' would be dead. Talk about putting the cart before the horse! Without Turks pushing away Hans, Helga, Kurt and Ilse over the decades, Little Istanbul would simply be still German!

In a country where newcomers have gotten so tremendously many chances, it should be THEY speaking German, not Turkish. Also, if Little Istanbul is now almost 100 per cent Turkish, this is only proof that over the years, a soft ethnic cleansing has taken place. It is impossible that the original BioGerman population of this part of Mannheim all left for 'racist' reasons. There is no other explanation other than that the mores of the Turks and the way they treated the 'natives' must have been particularly offending - otherwise you don't leave.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019!!!

A little bit premature perhaps in this corner of the world, where 2019 is still about one hour and a half away, but OK, here it is already: DowneastBlog wishes all its readers of good will a happy, healthy and successful 2019!!!





Dunno how it was with you, but for me 2018 ended on a relatively positive note, despite very serious challenges in biz. As some of you may know, the bankruptcy of my main supplier almost meant the end of my small company as well, and we're still not out of the danger zone yet. That said, we've come back - cautiously.

Gonna keep it short, for the moment I have but one good advice to you, but it's one which might save your *ss sometime if you take it at heart. It's difficult to tell which Saint Winston advice is my favourite, but the following one is among the top five at least:
