An article today in HLN, for Het Laatste Nieuws, a Belgian/Flemish news outlet that has the dubious honor of going even more berserk than De Standaard in its hysterical efforts to discredit Trump, and that is saying something.

I did a small post about this "article", not for its "news" "value" in se, but only to show how morally corrupt our newsmen and -women have become, and how far the intellectual rot has set in in their minds.

"A muslim from Cincinnati, in the US State of Ohio, got very surprised and touched when he found a heartwarming little letter at his door after Donald Trump's inauguration.

The brief message, which was not signed, spoke of a lot of warmth and compassion.

"Dear neighbors", the letter started, "Today is the start of a new era for our country. Whatever happens, know that there are a lot of people who will fight for your rights so that you can profess your faith and live without discrimination. You are welcome in our neighborhood and if you need anything, just knock on the door."

Hend Amry, the niece of the man who found the message, shared a photo of the letter on Twitter. She added: "This is the America that welcomed us as political refugees, the America that gave us a new home and the America that keeps my hope alive today."

The tweet got more than 450,000 likes."

The pitiful remnants of Christian, Bahia, Zoroastrian, Hindu and Buddhist communities in muslim countries all over the world, who are barely allowed to live let alone "profess their faith"; the Copts in Egypt who saw their stocks of hundreds of thousands of pigs destroyed by the government under false pretexts; the 0.2 per cent remaining Christians in 'liberal' Turkey who don't get permission for basic maintenance to their handful of small churches... could not be reached for comment on whether they had found similar notes on their doorsteps telling them they could profess their faith and count on the neighbors.

Neither could Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, the first ethnic Chinese governor of Jakarta, Indonesia, and the first Christian in that city in more than 50 years, currently awaiting his verdict in a blasphemy trial for allegedly having insulted islam.

Shama Bibi and Sajjad Maseeh, a Christian couple from the Pakistani town of Kot Radha Kishan, 60 kilometers southwest of Lahore, did not respond to my enquiries by mail for a touching note either. Which is weird, cause really the only thing that happened to them is that their legs were broken and that they were burned alive in a brick furnace for allegedly having defamed the Religion of Peace.

Ah, I guess people just don't have internet etiquette anymore!

The author of the HLN garbage article is Karen Van Eyken.

If you can, write her a note to tell her she just won the top spot in the Guinness Book of Records, category Brainless Twats of All Ages.
