NIGHTMARE ON ANTWERP'S STREETS.

A flying pig moment today over at Het Laatste Nieuws:

"HALF OF ALL THE PUPILS IN ANTWERP'S MUNICIPAL BASIC EDUCATION IS ENROLLED IN ISLAMIC COURSES"

"Currently, in Antwerp's municipal basic education net, a total of 5,165 students follow islamic religious courses. That's 49.3 per cent of the total number of students following one or another course dealing with religion or ethics. Second comes non-confessional morality with 2,907 students (27.7 per cent). Catholic lessons come in only third, with 2,152 students (20.5 per cent).

.... The numbers come from Vlaams Belang member of the municipal council Wim Van Osselaer, who asked Antwerp's town selectman for education, Claude Marinower (Open VLD) to provide them. The number of muslim students has been steadily on the rise for a couple of years. In 2007-2008 it was 'only' 33.6 per cent, according to Vlaams Belang it was 45.6 per cent in 2012. 'The spectacular rise of the number of muslim students in Antwerps educational net is frightening me' says Van Osselaer. 'Almost half of the students enlisted in Antwerps municipal educational institutions are now being raised in an islamic culture. All of them are thus to a certain degree influenced by islam, of which the norms are barely compatible (my translation) with human rights and our European freedoms"

May justice be done one day. That those responsible for importing this backward, murderous despicable 'religion' in our civilized world be punished. And punished severely.

SATURDAY NIGHT GEORGE BENSON, GOO GOO DOLLS.

George Benson. On Broadway.

Originally a 1963 hit for The Drifters, On Broadway was covered probably more than twenty times, but only got real extensive airplay after Benson's 1978 version (album 'Weekend in LA'). Benson, a Pittsburgh, PA native, has been making music and touring continually since 1963 - and I'm not even counting his 1954 stint as Little George Benson. I wonder what Rihanna or Beyonce will be doing in 2063?

Goo Goo Dolls with Iris.

GGD formed in 1986 in Buffalo, NY. Seems to me they only came to prominence with this hit, drawn from the soundtrack of the 1998 pooper City of Angels (with Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage).

Goede nacht.

TAKUAN SEIYO'S TENTH INSTALLMENT IN THE 'THE BEE AND THE LAMB' SERIES.

Yet another gem by that most illustrious gentleman and chronicler of the West's woes; Takuan Seiyo. The tenth installment in the 'The Bee and the Lamb series'. From our pals at Gates of Vienna:

"...Postmodern (“PoMo”) ideology explicitly rejects truth and logic. In such a framework, it’s easier to understand the curious mixture of presentism and relativism we visited earlier. Hicks summarizes this perverse phenomenon as: “On the one hand, all cultures are equally deserving of respect; on the other, Western culture is uniquely destructive and bad.” He adduces enduring examples of postmodernist theory blatantly at odds with historical facts:

Postmodernists: The West is deeply racist.

Fact: The West ended slavery for the first time ever, and racist ideas are on the defensive only in places where Western ideas have made inroads.

Postmodernists: The West is deeply sexist.

Fact: Western women were the first to get the vote, contractual rights, and the opportunities that most women in the world are still without.

Postmodernists: Western capitalist countries are cruel and exploitive of their poorer citizens.

Fact: The poor in the West are far richer than the poor anywhere else, both in terms of material assets and the opportunities to improve their condition.

The place of honor in the postmodernist Pantheon belongs probably to Jacques Derrida (1930-2004). Derrida’s main task in life was to help advance Marxism by deconstruction of the rational foundations of the West. An academic superstar, the list of universities where he coughed the infecting mist into the brains of adoring tens of thousands included, among others, France’s three most prestigious universities: Sorbonne, École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Johns Hopkins, Yale, New York University, The New School for Social Research, Stony Brook University and the University of California at Irvine.

Photobucket

Jacques Derrida, who made a career of poisoning the minds of generations of western students. A traitor in the mould of Jean-Paul Sartre.

The Australian mathematician and architectural critic Nikos Salingaros summed up Derrida’s “contribution” to Western Civilization as a lethal virus absolutizing subjectivity, motivated by the will to destroy [3]:

“Deconstruction asserts that texts have no ultimate meaning, and that their interpretation is up to readers. Deconstruction [snip] erases associations that form coherent thoughts. It acts like a computer virus that erases information in a hard disk. The Derrida virus seeks to undermine any original meaning via a complex and entirely self-referential play of words.

Deconstruction devalues common sense and rejects customary wisdom. [snip] As a virus, it has invaded civilization, erasing collective common sense while spreading with astonishing rapidity.

Deconstruction is not simply a worldview among others. A method to erase knowledge, masquerading as a new philosophical movement, cannot be quarantined within academia. Indoctrinated students eventually enter the real world threatening to create havoc. [snip]

Deconstruction has been remarkably successful in dismantling traditional literature, art, and architecture. Like a biological virus [snip], it only partially destroys its host, because total destruction would stop further transmission. It breaks up coherent sets of ideas by separating natural modules into submodules. Some of these submodules are then selectively destroyed in order to subsequently reattach their components randomly into an incoherent construct.[snip]

Once formed, worldviews are unlikely to change and are trusted more than any direct sensory evidence. These internal worldviews become so much a part of oneself that they are unlikely to undergo any modification, unless one is forced to do so. For this reason, those who have adopted a cult philosophy deny all evidence that threatens the cult’s vision of reality. Rational arguments make no difference.”

Salingaros quotes Derrida himself:

“All I have done … is dominated by the thought of a virus, what could be called a parasitology, a virology, the virus being many things … The virus is in part a parasite that destroys, that introduces disorder into communication. [snip] This is what happens with a virus; it derails a mechanism of the communicational type, its coding and decoding … is neither alive nor dead … [this is] all that I have done since I began writing.” [4]

If Derrida infected the culture with an intellectual virus, Michel Foucault (1926-1984) carried this one step further by sparing no efforts to infect himself, eventually dying of AIDS after a promiscuous sweep of the homo bathhouses of San Francisco.

Photobucket

Yet another one who chose to defecate on the accomplishments of our illustrious western civilization even though he enjoyed the multitude of opportunities life in its sphere offered. How on earth is it possible that monsters like Foucault had such a tremendous appeal on our gullible students?

A graduate of the two aforementioned citadels of French learning, Foucault is acknowledge as perhaps the preeminent social theorist and historian of ideas of mid-20th century, though he was, to be blunt, simply a malevolent intellectual masturbator in the solipsistic German tradition (e.g. Hegel, Heidegger). A prolific one, though, with a recondite vocabulary and soporifically impenetrable style, which, along with his membership in the French Communist Party, later supplanted by Maoist idolatry, qualified him for admission to France’s most august intellectual body, Collège de France, as — this bears reflection — Professor of the History of Systems of Thought.

Like Derrida, Foucault spread his intellectual HIV over much of the world in person. In addition to his teaching positions in several French universities, he held academic posts in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Tunisia and, in the United States, at the University of Buffalo and at UC Berkeley.

We will not waste time perusing his books, though various dystopian afflictions plaguing the West now are the result of eager university students absorbing their postmodernist teaching and then inflicting it upon their lessers after assuming responsible positions in society.

Among others, we owe the pervasive odor of urine and the pitiful shrieking hobos in our center cities, and not a few small genocides by obvious madmen left to live among the sane, to Foucault’s 1961 book, Madness and Civilization and its critique of domineering Reason suppressing the truth of madness. Those who wonder how Europe could have possibly committed the prima facie insanity of importing millions of sharia pollinators might peruse Foucault’s panegyrics to the new form of “political spirituality” he perceived in Muslim turmoil during the 1979 Iranian mullahs’ revolution [5].

How vast and demented Foucault’s influence has been might be inferred from a peek into Journal of Research in Nursing that, one might assume, exists in order to publish learned articles about the swabbing of wounds and intravenous nutrition. The abstract of “On the constitution and status of ‘evidence’ in the health sciences” reads:

“Drawing on the philosophy of Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze, this paper interrogates the constitution of ‘evidence’ that defines the evidence-based movement in the health sciences. What are the current social and political conditions under which scientific knowledge appears to be ‘true’? Foucault describes these conditions as state ‘science’, a regime that privileges economic modes of governance and efficiency. Today, the Cochrane taxonomy and research database is increasingly endorsed by government and public health policy makers. Although this ‘evidence-based’ paradigm ostensibly promotes the noble ideal of ‘true knowledge’ free from political bias, in reality, this apparent neutrality is dangerous because it masks the methods by which power silently operates to inscribe rigid norms and to ensure political dominance. Through the practice of critique, this paper begins to expose and to politicise the workings of this power, ultimately suggesting that scholars are in a privileged position to oppose such regimes and foremost have the duty to politicize what hides behind the distortion and misrepresentation of ‘evidence’.” [6]

Professor Hicks summarizes Foucault in these words:

“In his ‘Introduction’ to The Archaeology of Knowledge, Foucault [snip] speaks of his desire to erase himself. [snip] Foucault extends his desire for effacement to the entire human species. At the end of The Order of Things, for example, he speaks almost longingly about the coming erasure of mankind: Man is ‘an invention of recent date that will soon be erased, like a face drawn in sand at the edge of the sea.’”

What civilization, then, could possibly enshrine a death-craving, babble-spouting sodomite nymphomaniac, but one that has been similarly infected? Except it’s not the civilization that has been infected but just its official custodians and their acolytes whom another Frenchman, Julien Benda, accused of treason already in 1927. The simpler folks had just been seduced to turn away. They inhaled in increasing doses and came to like a compound of dumb digital diversions, sex, porn and pop, uppers and downers, slavery to credit and status shopping, and news and entertainment programs programmed by programmers with hidden agendas and degrees conferred by the same loci of treason and insanity as had enshrined Messrs. Derrida and Foucault. And Herbert Marcuse (1898-1979) too, the guru of the 60’s and the most influential peddler of the Frankfurt School’s tainted goods in the United States.

Photobucket

Perhaps the most prominent 'intellectual' traitor of the West, Herbert Marcuse.

The Institut für Sozialforschung had been established at the University of Frankfurt in 1923 by an endowment from German expat Felix Weil and his father, a prominent grain merchant in Argentina. It was a particularly German concoction, heavily influenced by Hegel and Heidegger, and imbued with the notion that Western Civilization, having mortally injured itself in Word War I, was fit for the trash heap and had to be replaced. Mutating a new form of Marxism, the Frankfurt School taught that power lay with the institutions of culture, rather than with those who controlled the means of production. Thus was “Critical Theory” born, by which all Western cultural precepts and institutions could be taken down one by one, so that Revolution might finally succeed.

The raison d’être for this work being to plow through where there is too much beating around the bush, let us redefine “German” as “German-Jewish.” Practically all the big names of the Frankfurt School were Jews: Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Herbert Marcuse, Friedrich Pollock, Leo Lowenthal, Kurt Lewin, Adolph Lowe, Erich Fromm, David Riazanov (Russian) [7]. The gentiles were a small and less distinguished minority: Karl Korsch, Karl August Wittfogel, the fabled Soviet spy Richard Sorge.

Why would the wealthiest (and Jewish [8]) grain merchant in the world want to fund a Marxist institute is as much an enigma as why the wealthy (and non-Jewish) industrialist Friedrich Engels would finance Karl Marx or why hundreds of the wealthiest Americans, many from old American families and, again, with a disproportionate Jewish participation, would actively, passionately, devote so much energy and money toward the destruction of their own country and their own ethny. The American evolutionary psychologist Kevin MacDonald who reconstructed the previously semi-taboo Jewish components of major Leftist calamities like the Bolshevik Revolution, Communism, and the Frankfurt School, has built a theory around that. Alas, the theory he laid out in his The Culture of Critique trilogy and other writings is little more than a medieval blood libel: the Joos have a genetic evolutionary strategy to dominate and feed off their “white” host [9].

A credible theory, instead of sieving out all the contradictory data and making unwarranted generalizations based on the hand-picked remainder, would account for and integrate the counter-indicators; for instance, that the Jews were among the most patriotic segments of the German population: from a community of under 600,000, an estimated 90,000 Jews served in the German Army during World War 1 and 12,000 lost their lives. Likewise, whereas the most consequential proponents of Marxism in all its forms have been Jews, the most consequential proponents of libertarian freedom were also Jews: the important ones include Mises, Hayek (1/4 Jewish), Rothbard, Ayn Rand, Friedman...."

Too bad a literary genius like Takuan Seiyo has but a infinitesimal fraction of the appeal and readership that scoundrels like Derrida, Foucault and Marcuse had - and have. What a tragedy, in fact.

MUSLIM VIGILANTES IMPOSING SHARIA LAW ON LONDON'S STREETS; GERMAN CHURCHES BEING CONVERTED INTO MOSQUES.

First two videos of muslim vigilantes imposing sharia law on the streets of London - Whitechapel, to be exact:

And via Gatestone Institute, an article by Soeren Kern, about German churches being converted into mosques:

A Muslim plan to convert a former Lutheran church in the city of Hamburg into a mosque is generating controversy across Germany.

From Berlin to Dortmund to Mönchengladbach, the gradual proliferation of mosques housed in former churches reflects the rise of Islam as the fastest growing religion in post-Christian Germany. In the most recent case, the church would be the first converted into a mosque in the second-largest city in Germany.

The latest dust-up involves the former Kapernaumkirche (Capernaum Church), located in the Horn district in downtown Hamburg. The church, a cultural heritage site, was abandoned in 2002 for financial reasons due to declining membership.

The building and an adjacent 44 meter (144 foot) tower/steeple as well as the surrounding land was sold in December 2012 to the Al-Nour Islamic Center, which has approximately 600 members, mainly made up of Arab Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa.

The church is currently undergoing renovations at a cost of one million euros ($1.4 million) and is scheduled to be reopened as a mosque on October 3, the Day of German Unity [Tag der Deutschen Einheit], a public holiday commemorating the anniversary of German reunification in 1990. Muslims in Germany have also claimed October 3 as Open Mosque Day [Tag der offenen Moschee], a day when non-Muslims are allowed to visit mosques.

Major German newspapers have greeted the news with apparent resignation, and have published editorials with titles such as "When Mosques Replace Churches," "Tenant Allah," "Christian on the Outside, Muslim on the Inside," and "The New Normal."

But political and religious leaders have been more circumspect; many have responded to the situation with a sense of unease and foreboding.

Marcus Weinberg, the leader of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) in Hamburg, said: "I am opposed to this. Even if the transaction is legally permissible, the conversion of a former church into a mosque will do little to improve cultural and religious coexistence in the area." He has appealed to city officials to meet with the Al-Nour Center to discuss "attractive building alternatives."

Helge Adolphsen, the former senior pastor of St. Michael's Church, the most iconic church in Hamburg, said: "This is the breaking of a dam."

And of course, lookie who's facilitating the process:

"In November 2012, the city of Hamburg signed a "state treaty" with its Muslim communities that grants Muslims broad new rights and privileges -- but does little to encourage their integration into German society.

The agreement, signed by Hamburg's Socialist Mayor, Olaf Scholz, and the leaders of four Muslim umbrella groups, has been praised by the proponents of multiculturalism for putting the northern port city's estimated 200,000 Muslims on an equal footing with Christian residents.

Not coincidentally, one of the signatories of the "historic treaty" happens to be the Chairman of the Al-Nour Center, Daniel Abdin, who is leading the effort to convert the former church into a mosque.

According to Fromann: "The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has guaranteed that Islamic religious communities have the right, within the framework of applicable laws, to build and operate mosques, prayer and meeting rooms, educational institutions and other community organizations according to their own discretion. This includes ensuring the right to equip Islamic mosques with domes and minarets."

Says Abdin: "Do not worry, the muezzin (the crier who calls the Muslim faithful to prayer five times a day) will not shout from the minaret." Probably at least not right away."

DR DAVID VINER, CLIMATE RESEARCH UNIT, UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA, 2000: 'SNOWFALLS ARE NOW JUST A THING OF THE PAST.'

Yes, they've been fooling us that long. Far longer, actually. When I was a kid, we had to study the conclusions of the Club of Rome, an outfit of ecoweirdos according to whom the planet would run out of, oh, basically everything a healthy capitalist society needs by 1985 or so. Anyway, I picked this 2000 The Independent article because it's such fun to rub the watermelons' noses in their sheer folly. The article quotes, amongst others, a certain Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist of the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, as saying that 'within a few years winter snowfall will become a very rare and exciting event. Children just aren't going to know what snow is.'"

"TOP" BELGIAN DAILY DE STANDAARD NOW OPENLY PROMOTING ISLAMIC BANKING.

This article dates from October 2011 and was actually a dormant post I never came about to flesh out. It only appears now because I added the 'De Standaard' flag and wanted to check out if the query worked, for which I scrambled a couple of posts with the De Standaard Watch label. This concept post happened to catch my eye so here it is.

And now that we are at it, I'll elaborate a bit on it. So in October 2011 a De Standaard editor, Joel Ceulaer, a lefty nutcase (an oxymoron of course) who never fails to flaunt His Moral Superiority over the Flemish peasants of the famed center right undercurrent in Belgium's northern half, wrote an article praising Mohammed Boulif and his efforts to get Belgian banks interested in the virtues of Sharia Banking. The title is an enlarged caption by Boulif: 'FINE PRINT IS FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM'. 'Would banking according to sharia rules have prevented the crisis?'. Golly it might. According to Joel Ceulaer that is.

Photobucket

Yes yes yes yes yes. Well, fine print may be forbidden in islam but fooling filthy infidels is not. Leftozoid nutbag Ceulaer is prolly so enamored with the amazing aspects of sharia banking that he's momentarily forgetting that Mr Boulif was a couple of years ago Head of Belgium's Muslim Executive, the official institution (financed with dough from you guess it infidel peasant pigs aka Belgian taxpayers). And he's also forgetting that that institution was so singularly ineffectual and corrupt that it had to be disbanded a couple of times. Not to mention that it contained a fair number of highly suspect personages (according to State Security). Well, Mr Boulif unrightfully kept pocketing a year's salary AFTER the dissolution of the Muslim Executive, a fact the then Minister of Justice, Laurette Onkelinckx (PS), had to admit publicly. At the relevant press conference where this item was brought up, she vowed that 'Boulif would pay it back'. I wonder if that ever happened, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Hey, stealing from infidels is indeed not in any islamic fine print: it's written black on white in large characters in their holy book, with recommendations. Not that Ceulaer noticed.

BBC COWARDS FORCE PLAYWRIGHT TO OMIT LINE ABOUT HONOR KILLINGS SO AS NOT TO OFFEND MUSLIM COMMUNITY.

The BBC, that godforsaken snake pit of insane alternativos, closet-or-not-so-closet jihadists, and communists, has forced a playwright, author of a piece about honor killings, to omit a line about honor killings so as not to stigmatize 'the entire muslim community'. When you read the actual line, it's laughable. Or so it would be, were it not that it is so utterly tragic:

Photobucket

"Bhatti spoke about the changes made to the play at Tuesday’s Index On Censorship conference, which discusses artistic freedom of expression in the UK. As reported in The Independent, Bhatti explained the controversial line: “At the end, a character says: ‘There is so much pressure in our community, to look right and to behave right.’ The compliance department came back and said, ‘we don’t want to suggest the entire Muslim community condones honour killings.’”

Bhatti continued, “It’s an extraordinary and awful situation. They said the lines were offensive but they absolutely were not. We live in a fear-ridden culture.” Bhatti said that the line was “a crucial part of the story”, and that the BBC said it could be kept in if she found factual evidence of community pressure resulting in an honour killing.

A Radio 4 spokesperson commented: “This is a hard-hitting drama about the realities of honour killing in Britain. A single line in the script could be taken to infer that the pressure and motivation to commit such a crime in a family comes from the wider Muslim community, potentially misrepresenting majority British Muslim attitudes to honour killing. Gupreet Kaur Bhatti was asked to amend this line in the normal editorial process of script development.”

I'm pretty sure that if I would pull that Radio 4 spokesperson's pants down - and if it's a man (or at least if the creature was born that way) - I would not find two testicles, just a lil' sausage which now and then leaks some pipi.

MELANIE PHILLIPS ON THE CRISIS OF CONSERVATISM.

It is clear that conservatism is in the ropes on both sides of the Atlantic.

Which should not be, because basically all problems besetting our societies are the handiwork of the left, and it's actually US, Conservatives, who hold the keys to righten things - fiscal responsibility, moral values, work ethics. The really HUGE problem seems to be cultural, in that the lackeys of the left in the media and the educational system win hands down the 'effort' (one cannot even call it an effort) to 'win the hearts and the minds of the people'. Indeed, leftist nonsense is 'cool'. It's 'good'. It does not matter what the results are, if only it feels 'good'. Children are being raised to believe, no, to take it for granted, that being left, progressive, is 'GOOD'. By contrast, being right, conservative, is 'BAD'. Better, 'EVIL'.

Melanie Phillips has some interesting thoughts to share about the topic:

"The agony of the US Republicans, engulfed by an existential crisis since the second term victory of Barack Obama, reminds me so much of the UK Conservatives’ similar crisis after the accession of Tony Blair to power in 1997.

That victory ushered in a three-term Labour hegemony. The Tories, aghast at the inversion of the natural order by which they assumed they had a divine right to rule, looked in bewildered mortification upon the upstart Blair whom they found it impossible to dislodge -- and arrived at precisely the wrong conclusion about both conservatism and British society. It was a fundamental error that I believe the Conservative Party is still making – and if they aren’t careful, the US Republicans will fall into the same trap.

The root of the error was to misunderstand both why the Tories lost power in 1997 and the appeal of Tony Blair. They looked at Blair-- young, telegenic, hip, with his jeans and his guitar and his ‘hey man’ and his ‘I feel your pain’ -- and they were torn between thinking he was a cynical charlatan and alternatively that he won power because he was in tune with Britain’s shift towards a more caring, sharing, emoting, tolerant, liberal society.

Wrong on all counts. Blair won above all because the Tories had made themselves unelectable. The government of John Major, which took over after the reginacide of Margaret Thatcher, had become a national joke, an embarrassment, a synonym for sleaze, arrogance and supreme incompetence. Moreover, a number of Tory MPs just looked ... well, totally weird. The whole lot of them were viewed as totally beneath contempt and wholly unfit for government.

Blair saw his opportunity – but having concluded about his own party that its left-wing positions had made it unelectable, he took a leaf out his friend Bill Clinton’s book and triangulated his message. While remaining committed under the radar to extreme, indeed revolutionary left-wing positions – the erosion of sovereignty by closer union with the EU, mass third world immigration, multiculturalism, gay rights -- he sent out the (misleading) message that he was instinctively on the side of Middle Britain and would put right what worried them most. This was above all intolerable levels of crime and disorder and poor education standards, which in turn stood proxy for a feeling that society was breaking down...."

SHEER INSANITY: BBC PROMOTES 'HIJAB FOR A DAY'.

In case you didn't notice it, today, February 1st, was 'World Hijab Day'. Cause the people behind the event want to show us what a much better world it would be if more women would cover up and submit to the wonderful religion of islam. Yes, the world is on fire everywhere 'islam' touches the rest of humanity, from Mali, Nigeria and South Sudan to the Middle East, Afghanistan, Thailand and the Philippines, and in the countries where islamic vermin has through immigration gotten a firm grip on the host society - always consuming massive resources like parasites, without offering anything worthwhile in return - the dark shadow of a return to a medieval status for the female part of the population is looming.

Photobucket

Over here at DowneastBlog we celebrate World Hijab Day in the appropriate manner of course:

Photobucket

Now over to our British colleague at Musings of a Durotrigan:

"It often seems that there is nothing British about the BBC other than the money that pays for the licence fee. Am I being facetious? A little, perhaps, but then again the tenor of some BBC programming – BBC3’s ‘Make Me a Muslim’ on Wednesday for example – and its promotion today of the‘Hijab for a day’ initiative does raise significant questions regarding its cultural agenda, for as far as the corporation is concerned, it would seem that the island of Britain is little other than a geographical space. With respect to this island’s native inhabitants – whom the BBC repeatedly asserts do not exist – its aim often appears not to be the celebration, promotion and protection of their cultures, but of their thoroughgoing deculturisation and absorption either into a transnational cosmopolitanism or even Islam. Its promotion of ‘Hijab for a day’ fits neatly into this programme of deculturisation and alienation of Britons from Britain.

What is ‘World Hijab Day’? What could be its purpose? Who dreamt it up, and why? The BBC informs us that it was the brainchild of New York Muslim Nazma Khan who wishes to ‘counteract’ controversies about the hijab and Muslim veiling in general: It encourages non-Muslim women (or even Muslim women who do not ordinarily wear one) to don the hijab and experience what it’s like to do so, as part of a bid to foster better understanding.

That is the official line of course, but in reality, as any sentient being can see, this is a straightforward method of normalising the presence of Islam and a step towards Islamic proselytisation – Dawah – on a grand scale. As such, it could be interpreted as an act of cultural imperialism and a celebration of Muslim misogyny. The question that really deserves to be asked is this: why is the BBC so persistent in promoting this misogynist system of belief and associated cultural practices? Aaqil Ahmed, the BBC’s Head of Religion and Ethics will have a role to play in this of course, but to lay the blame upon this one man would be totally misplaced and unfair, for the cultural self-loathing of which this is but one expression, is deeply rooted within the BBC. If the BBC really cared about the rights of women, it would be promoting the following: ‘World Non-Hijab Day’, a day upon which women around the world who normally wear a veil cast it off for the day ‘and experience what it’s like to do so, as part of a bid to foster better understanding.’ When will we see mass unveilings in Saudi Arabia? Now, that really would be newsworthy! Shall we start a campaign for such a day? Women everywhere deserve it.

The BBC should be called to account for its persistent promotion of misogyny, for under the guise of religious 'tolerance', it is attempting to compel us to accept the intolerable."

TAKUAN SEIYO'S THE BEE AND THE LAMB (9TH INSTALLMENT).

As always, a must-read by Takuan Seiyo, the 9th installment already in the 'The Bee and the Lamb' series. From our pals over at Gates of Vienna::

By Takuan Seiyo A Whole New Road to Serfdom

That Which is Not Seen (continued)

"For over 60 years, White mea-culpists have had a firm grip in all fields of cultural mind imprinting: education high and low; paper media, then electronic, then digital media; all forms of entertainment, the plastic arts and music high and low, and religious instruction and worship too. Their main endeavor has been to enforce their compulsory (e.g. K-12) and discretionary (e.g. television) self-flaying on account of long-ago Slavery, Colonialism, Imperialism, Male Supremacism, Racism, Antisemitism, and so on.

It’s the evils of the Iberian Inquisition — which were evil — but not the evils of the Japanese equivalent in which, in the 40 years up to 1597, 50,000 Christians were publicly crucified, burned or beheaded. Nor the evils of the worldwide Islamic Inquisition which — not in the 16th century but now, in the 21st, condemns Muslim apostates to barbaric execution. It’s America’s destruction of the snail darter but not Mussulmanism’s destruction of the Bamyan Buddhas or its proposed destruction of the Sphinx and the Pyramids, let alone its obliteration of all the pre-Rome cradles of Christianity but for remaining ruins in the Middle East and dust of the desert in North Africa.

It’s the evils of feudalism and industrial workers’ exploitation in Europe and America, but not the strict Confucian evils of Northeast Asia. There, a member of the ruling class in China had, essentially, a free hand with anyone of the lower classes, a Japanese samurai could test his sword by cutting down an insolent peasant, and farmers were so squeezed by their fief holders that they habitually sold their daughters to bordellos for the few coins it provided for next season’s seed.

Feminism, Socialism and anti-Antisemitism should have arisen in Saudi Arabia or Yemen, Algeria or Peshawar, for good reasons. Instead, aggressive White androphobes of all genders which I can no longer count are decimating the philogynous and egalitarian West. Equality psychos are tearing down the most egalitarian society that ever existed (except for initial communist experiments, before they turned bloody). American Jews, at the apex of the greatest fortune and philosemitic tolerance their long diaspora has ever bestowed on their kind, are busy supporting all the ideologies and policies that demolish their safe harbor and build up their Muslim, Black and Third World enemies. They will come to rue their tacit assumption that better the antisemite you don’t know than the few hundred imputed and real ones catalogued at ADL.

One would be hard put to find a nation not based on the invasion of another people’s territory and their mass slaughter. Yet poisoned American madmen proclaim “No Thanks for Thanksgiving” as though the Indians themselves did not fight endless genocidal wars from Peru to Canada, with torture, ritual murder or slavery for the captives and, at times, cannibalism too.

Leftoid masochists and the Christian meek call for returning Hawaii to the Hawaiians and capitulating before a massive Mexican reconquista of one-third of America. The self-defined “Feminist-Tauist-NeoPagan-Post-Structuralist-Deconstructionist-Socialist” useful idiot Gillian Schutte begins her New Year 2013 Dear White People by “wholeheartedly apologizing for what my ancestors did to the people of South Africa and inviting you to do the same.”

Just one member of countless legions of insane, grossly ignorant and self-hating white liberals: Gillian Schutte. From The Guardian of course.

Yet the Magyars don’t seem to feel much guilt over the Illyrians, Pannonians, Sarmatians and Celts whose land and lives they took in the 9th century, to form Hungary. The rightful Etruscan landowners are not bearing angry placards in front of the Vatican. The Japanese are not planning to relinquish Hokkaido to its original owners, the Ainu. The tall, white and fair-haired Chachapoyas of the Andean forest have, alas, no remnants left to sue the Incas for genocide in a Peruvian court of law. The Aztecs, whether in Jalisco or Los Angeles, don’t agonize over having taken what would become Mexico City from its original Culhuacan owners, with lots of grisly details. Yet for 38 years Neil Young has been reminding adoring audiences about “Cortez the Killer”, discreetly omitting Tlacaelel the killer and the killer people whom Cortez killed.

Hitler’s Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust (1996) is a book by Daniel Goldhagen presenting the thesis that the German nation as such was composed of willing executioners of the Jews because of a unique “eliminationist antisemitism” in the German people, with long historical roots. However, even that great moral abyss of Western civilization — the Holocausts — stands out more in its industrialized and organizational features than it does either in the quality of its hatefulness or its relative or even absolute volumes. And Holocausts they were, for in addition to the nearly 6 million Jews, the Germans also murdered over 21 million civilian Slavs, and that’s counting Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus and Czechoslovakia alone.

In absolute numbers, the total number of World War II non-German civilian victims of Nazi Germany is smaller than the 50 million victims of the Bolsheviks in Russia, or Mao’s 70 million in China, or the Mughal-Muslim genocide of Hindus — the latter have their own Holocaust Day on August 14..."

Food for thought.

WALES, 2010: SEVEN-YEAR OLD BOY BEATEN TO DEATH, SET ALIGHT BY MOTHER WITH BBQ FUEL FOR FAILING TO LEARN THE KORAN.

I'm actually royally f*cked up - more about that in a couple of weeks, when the time is right - but I think this article by Mark Steyn deserves far more attention and I thought I'd just do my little bit to get the story spread some more; you know, if it all depended on The Stavda, the New York Times, The Graudian or Le Monde no one would EVER hear about it:

"In the summer of 2010, mourners lined the streets of Wales's capital city to pay tribute to a seven-year-old boy killed in a house fire. In fact, Yaseen Ali Ege was brutally beaten to death, and then set alight with barbecue fuel. By his mother. For failing to learn the Koran. Over the preceding months, Mom had used a stick, a rolling pin, and a hammer on her son, but, despite these incentives, he had memorized only a couple of pages. And so she killed him, and subsequently declared she felt "100 percent better."

This month, at Cardiff Crown Court, Mrs. Ege was sentenced and jailed by Mr. Justice Wyn Williams for what he declared "a dreadful crime" that had inflicted "a good deal of pain" on an innocent boy. The judge, however, was discreet enough not to pass comment on more basic cultural questions. He had no view on whether or not being forced to learn the Koran is an appropriate educational priority for a "Welsh" schoolboy, so long as the parental hammer and kerosene remain locked up in the toolshed. Nor on whether a child so raised can be a fully functioning member of Western society. Yaseen's headmistress at Radnor Primary School, Ann James, called him "a delightful little boy and beautifully behaved who always had a smile on his face," and forbore to mention that on the day of his murder he had been kept home from class and the "teddy bears' picnic" because his mother felt he needed to focus on his Koranic studies.

To dust off the formulation that got me hauled before the Canadian "human rights" commissars: Time for the obligatory "of course"s. Of course not all Muslims brutalize their families — although the ten-year-old daughter of Asia Parveen of Stoke Newington was treated for 56 injuries after being beaten for not reading enough verses of the Koran, and Hesha Yones of west London had her throat cut by her father for being too "Westernized," and a five-month-old baby in Halmstad, Sweden, was beaten to death with a Koran, and this very month a campaign against Muslim domestic violence is being launched in Scotland, and a BBC poll last year revealed that two-thirds of young British Muslims favor violence against those who "dishonor" their families, and in the Netherlands Muslims make up 60 percent of the population of battered-women's shelters . . . And of course not all Muslims are self-segregating, although 57 percent of Pakistani Britons are married to first cousins, and in Bradford, Yorkshire, it's 75 percent . . .

Photobucket
Nevertheless, many Muslims share the broader cultural preferences of Yaseen's mother.

In that sense, Headmistress James and Mr. Justice Williams are lagging indicators. Britain is undergoing demographic transformation. According to the 2011 census, the United Kingdom's Muslim population doubled in the decade after 9/11. In Cardiff, Yaseen's funeral service was held in the Masjid-e-Bilal mosque, which was formerly a Christian church and was built during the Welsh Protestant revival in the 19th century. In Wales, Christian revival has come and gone. If the Muslim population doubles again this decade, Mr. Williams and Mrs. James will be joined on the bench and in the faculty lounge by Muslim judges and teachers. Would a Muslim jurist look more kindly on Mrs. Ege, at least with respect to motive? Or would a Muslim headmaster reorient teaching priorities to make Yaseen's extracurricular studies no longer necessary?

Who knows? In Wales as in much of the Western world, we are in the midst of an unprecedented sociocultural experiment. Its precise end point cannot be known, but on the Continent its contours are beginning to emerge: In Amsterdam, formerly "the most tolerant city in Europe," gay-bashing is now routine; "youths" busted into a fashion show, pulled a gay model from the catwalk, and beat him to a pulp. Claire Berlinski reported for National Review two years ago that in the French suburb of La Courneuve 77 percent of veiled women say they cover themselves to "avoid the wrath of Islamic morality patrols." In Potsdam, the Abraham Geiger Theological College advises its rabbis not to venture on the streets wearing identifying marks of their faith. In synagogues from Copenhagen to Berlin to Rome, Jews are warned to hide their yarmulkes under hats or baseball caps at the end of the service. In Paris, a man wearing no identifiably religious clothing was beaten unconscious on the Métro for being caught reading a book by France's chief rabbi. The message is consistent, from Jews to gays to women: In the new Europe, you don't want to be seen as the other. Keep your head down, or covered.

For a decade, I've been told by those who think I'm "alarmist" that there's nothing to see here. The seven-year-old whose non-appearance at the teddy bears' picnic goes unremarked . . . the beleaguered National Health Service reeling under the costs of genetic disorders from cousin marriage but now providing free and discreet "hymen reconstruction" for Muslim daughters who got a little over-Westernized one night . . . the infidel women going veiled to avoid trouble in les banlieues . . . the rabbis wearing baseball caps on the streets of Berlin and Brussels . . .

One reason that there's "nothing to see" is the ever greater lengths we go to to cover it, and ourselves, up. The veil descends, on all of us."

Joanne, Kepha, sorry for not answering to your questions properly. I barely can find the time to get my things in order. Let's hope for better times. Kepha, Hollande's law proposal which in the past has failed every time and everywhere it was enacted and which he therefore wanted to implement again - leftist doctrine, you know - was shot off by the French constitutional court. But lots of wealthy Frenchmen didn't wait for that. One of my sisters lives in a rather upscale part of Brussels and she is amazed at the sheer number of cars - high end vehicles - with French license plates which abound in her neighborhood since about eight months or so.

Closer to home, Belgium has had a semi-communist government for about fourteen months now, and an openly gay PM who is also the Big Manitou of the Parti Socialiste, the 'Party of 1,000,000 scandals'. In fourteen months, they have wrecked the Belgian economy dearly. Taxes - corporate and personal - have gone way up, the state's expenses haven't been cut at all, to the contrary. As a result, car sales e.g. were down 15 per cent in 2012 (we ourselves noted a 12 per cent decrease), automaker Ford has left the country for Spain, more precisely Catalonia, where a worker costs at least 30% less, and the Belgian energy situation is frightening, what with half the powerplants down, courtesy the greens and reds, since fossil fuels create CO2 and nuclear plants give off radiation. So never before in history has Belgium been so dependent on its neighbors, especially France and The Netherlands, for its energy supply.

EXTREME MAKEOVER FOR BELGIUM: EUTHANASIA, ABORTION, AND DOWNRIGHT REFUSAL TO PROCREATE FOR WHITES; DEMOGRAPHIC BOOM AND MASS IMMIGRATION FOR NON-WHITES.

A good article about my country - and it ain't comin' from me, but from Americanthinker.com. Belgium's compassionate nihilism, by J. Robert Smith.

"Dear Muslim brothers, why the struggle to Islamize Europe? Patience, brothers, patience. You see, Europeans are accomplishing for you what it would take decades of sweat, toil, assaults, firebombs, ghetto riots, and tears to accomplish yourselves: the conquest of once Christian Europe.
We learn from France 24 that Belgium's progressive thinkers wish to extend euthanasia to minors and Alzheimer's sufferers, thereby tightening the noose - so to speak - in the thriving Industry of Death that's taken hold in Europe and North America (that would be Canada and the United States).
Yes, secular Europeans kill babies by the bushel baskets now. It's called abortion or, in polite circles, "choice." A woman's choice, mind you. You see, in the secular Western world, dear Muslim brothers, women have what your women lack: rights. And a "right" is to abort the baby a woman conceived but finds oh-so inconvenient to birth - considering the father isn't the woman's husband or she may not even know who dad is to share the costs and responsibilities of bringing up baby. Ah, those crazy, silly, fun one-night flings! All gain, no pain!
Europe, if you haven't taken note, is a dying enterprise. Extinction lurks for the European. Ask any demographer worth his salt. Native Europeans are well below replacement birth rates (a norm of about 2.1) that are required just to maintain population stasis.

Belgians, who once stuck to producing fine chocolates, now produce laws that give the sick, the dying, the not-sick-enough, the not-quite-dying, and those-who-want-to-be-gravely ill- and-dead the humane and loving option to kill themselves - or be killed through the equivalent of lethal injection per death row inmates in many U.S. prisons.
But Belgians would protest: "You exaggerate, sir! There are narrow parameters and procedures in our laws for euthanizing a human being. Not just anyone can walk into a clinic for a little schnapps-flavored hemlock."
Yet laws, like missions. creep. A desire to extend the "right" of euthanasia to minors (kids, who, of course, have the maturity to decide if they should be offed) and Alzheimer's sufferers, who suffer, yes, is just another step toward more lenient and global laws governing mercy killing. One day across Europe, among its aboriginals, there will be fab mercy killing parties, complete with cyanide-laced bubbly, sedative-heavy IV drips, and 7.65 Walther PPKs or 6.35mm Model 8s for a more Wagnerian exit.
Suffering - aye, that's the rub. Once in a Christian land of long-ago, there was great value and dignity in suffering - which isn't to say that pain shouldn't be eased for sufferers or comfort rendered. In Christian Europe, though, suffering was once called the Way of the Cross. But secular Europe wants no crosses, dear Muslim brothers; they have no God to make crosses bearable and worthwhile. So they loosen the laws on mercy killing, broaden the universe for those eligible. Kill the babies, kill the sick, kill the addled... kill and kill some more.
So, pray tell, how far off is Europe from the state deciding who lives and who dies? What life has worth and what life is an unwelcome burden and cost? Why not put the seriously mentally and emotionally troubled out of their miseries? How about the schizophrenics - why waste all that care and medication? How about the lame and crippled? The disfigured? Or just the old, who can no longer be yoked for society's profit? And the cantankerous. Who likes cantankerous people, anyway?
This morbid development - this killing field - will come to Europe, in creeps and crawls, as sure as Allah and vestal virgins occupy heaven, dear Muslim brothers.
.............
And who's to say that native Europeans will limit themselves to mercy killings and scrubbing away the defectives? Perhaps, for good measure, and to placate Allah, they'll rub out what's left of the Jews in Europe, bringing favor from you, dear Muslim brothers, for dhimmitude is a seed that grows daily in the hearts of craven Europeans. Lest we forget homosexuals, who progressive Europeans greatly favor now, though with more dhimmitude a-coming, those same progressives may just stake and burn gays, who Allah sees as evil sodomites.
So quiet yourselves, dear Muslim brothers. Your wives and daughters bear many offspring. Withering, dying Europe is being populated by your progeny. Your wives aren't permitted to abort and rarely contracept, even if they wished to deviate from the faith or disobey your authority (and unambiguous Koranic authority you have over woman). You, dear Muslim brothers, honor your old and succor your ill and helpless. The Industry of Death is reserved for infidels. Allah be praised!
Europe is yours one day for the taking, dear Muslim brothers. All you need to do is watch and wait."

The author is right, of course. Belgium followed suit right after The netherlands to implement a euthanasia law in 2002. As with all the laws pushed by do-gooders, they try to adress problems dealing with cases - for which there are always solutions. My wife and I had to decide in 2004 whether to abort a thirteen-month old foetus - it was horribly misformed, could never grow up to a normal person, and would have likely cost my wife her life upon birth. We had our boy - it would have been a boy - aborted, and asked a pastor - on the grounds of UZ Gent (Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent, where the operation took place) to hold a Mass for our pour little creature. That was no problem whatsoever. We did not need a law - we were a case. There are ALWAYS solutions for cases. If you implement laws to adress cases - you invariable get mass abuse of the law. It's what happened with our abortion laws - it's happening already with the euthanasia law. So papa and mama are fed up with spending their sunday afternoon with ailing, demented grandpa? Oh, there will always be a willing doctor at hand to lend an earful when pa and ma decide that gramps is really ready to exchange this sordid bedpissing life for another brighter one. And where lies the limit between performing euthanasia and actively helping someone to commit suicide? Here, too, the law can be stretched to shield off that person with the helping hand.

As for the latest push to extend Belgium's euthanasia law to the demented and the very young with bleeding hearts and a temporary dip, the enthusiastic supporters are - who else? - the SP.a, the Socialistische Partij. From the weekly Knack, in one of it's Flying Pig moments:

"Two SP.a lawmakers, Myriam Vanlerberghe and Marleen Temmerman, introduce this month two law proposals in Parliament whereby two new categories of people get access to euthanasia, namely minors and demented or people who have become 'permanently unconscious'. The Flemish socialists say they are adamantly determined to implement this amendment to the 10-year old law. The SP.A can in all likelihood reckon on support of Open VLD (the Liberals) and Groen (the Green Party) in that debate. CD and V (the Christian Democrats) are reluctant, while N-VA (a Flemish nationalist party) blows hot and cold, according to De Standaard."

Oh, those Socialists and Greens!!! Architects of both the Anti-Racism laws and the Fast-Belgian laws, both specifically aimed to stifle the voice of the one and only sane voice in the Belgian political landscape, the voice of the Vlaams Belang! The former law led to the cordon sanitaire whereby every 'decent' (ahem) 'democratic' party refused to ever enter in a coalition with the VB. The latter led to 600,000 new Belgians in a decade from among the ranks of the countless immigrants flooding our borders - a significant part of them, if not the majority - from muslim countries. Conditions to get that coveted Belgian ID? None. Basically none. Which means Belgium has now hundreds of thousands new Belgians who cannot speak nor write either of the two main languages - not Dutch, and not even French. Massive numbers of pupils among their offspring grow up in a family where only arabic or turkish is spoken at home, and underperform horribly in school as a result. Huge numbers of schools, especially in the big cities, are turning into concentration schools with educational levels dropping like a stone, and effect which basically forces the parents of the autochtons to move their children to 'whiter' schools, which turns the problematic schools into ever more decrepit hellholes - mostly for the teachers, mind you.

But even so, we don't need Euthanasia laws and abortion laws to shrink our authochton part of the population. We don't need the socialist and green pet laws allowing gays to marry. We don't even need New Belgians, nor do we in fact need muslims breeding like rabbits. No sir, why would we need all that when the authochton Belgians themselves have apparently decided to self-destruct in a matter of a couple of generations!!! I get sick - literally SICK - hearing this or that person in his or her fertile age respond to my question of how many children he or she has with 'one'. 'Oh, and is a number two coming'? 'Nooooooooo, one's enough!!!'. And those are the ones who DID make use of their genitals... for procreation. Countless numbers of my acquaintances have decided to simply have no children at all. Of three of my trusted workers - one 52, the other one 50, the third 47, have altogether one son. ONE. Which means two of them - the fifty-ers, are no fathers nor will they ever be. My youngest sister, now 43, took the deliberate decision twenty years ago to have no children - they would hamper her in her self-development. She's under treatment by a shrink now - wonder how that self-development worked out. Me, I'm 47 now, and getting old enough to begin to distinguish entire families who are literally dying out like a candle burning its last wax. Grandpa and grandma from both sides had just one boy and/or girl. The boy and girl marry - no, live together, cause marrying has become sooooooooo obsolete - and have one kid. And it stops there. So four grandparents have one grandchild. Brilliant strategy. End of the line for either family X or family Y. I could fill a book with anecdotes like these.

I truly wonder these days, where are the parental instincts among my contemporaries? It's not only that, I even see an alarming number of singles on the rise. Forty plus old men - one of my best friends is such a case - still living with their mom. Or the one who do move away, live single in either a flat or a house they construct. I know of girls in their late twenties - truly beautiful, attractive girls - living single on an apartment and apparently not dating guys. Ladies, where's your mother instinct? No wait, maybe I should ask first where's your libido?? Same for loads of young men. When I was twenty, I was thinking of sex all the time. Hell, I'm 47, I STILL think of sex all the time; no wait, at least a couple of times every day these days, but in the meantime my head also had to fill with lots of other stuff to take care off so naturally the titties had to make room for more mundane things. But you get my point. I wonder what's on young people's minds these days. Getting to know a lad or broad to date, have fun, get deeper involved, maybe marry and raise a family - it seems to be the last thing on their mind. And what makes it even worse is the total oblivion that's ruling. When i cautiously address the problem in some circle, I get at the very best bored looks - or persons who tell me that they know a family here or there where they have three kids. Three! Can be - I know myself of a couple of those families. Problem is, those pitiful exceptions cannot crank up the overall percentage - which among authochton Belgians stands at about 1.37 children per couple.

We are self-destructing.

This was Outlaw Mike from Belgium, feeling increasingly isolated.

SATURDAY NIGHT VAN HALEN, MARC-ANTOINE CHARPENTIER.

Jump is from the 1984 Van Halen album '1984'. Somehow, the then (as well as current) lead singer of the band, David Lee Roth, thought the band should be named after Alex and Eddie Van Halen, of Dutch stock (born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands). Alex plays drums and percussion, Eddie the lead guitar and keyboards.

Band formed in 1972 in Pasadena, CA. Today it looks likes the band is truly becoming an all-Van Halen vehicle, with Eddie's son Wolfgang (yes, named after Mozart) having joined as bassist.

And like I promised last week, now it's time for the prelude of Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Te Deum.

Charpentier was a famous French baroque composer, although not the most famous. That honor probably goes to Jean-Baptiste Lully, the Italian-born composer to the Court of Louis XIV. Until his untimely death in 1687 Lully basically held the monopoly for compositions at the Royal Court. Charpentier however had the good fortune to be in the employ of Marie of Lorraine, the Duchess of Guise, who was a powerful patron and under whose protection he composed, over a period spanning 17 years, a great number of vocal works, among them Psalm settings, hymns, a Magnificat setting, motets, oratorios, and a mass and a Dies Irae for the funeral of the duchess's nephew Louis Joseph, Duke of Guise. Slowly however he gravitated towards and under Louis XIV's aegis, first as a composer for the King's son, the Dauphin, and then finally as a maitre de musique at the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, a royal appointment he held from 1698 until his death in 1704.

In between his service to the Duchess de Guise and his final post at the Sainte-Chapelle, from late 1687 to early 1698, he was also maitre de musique for the Jesuit Church of Saint-Louis in Paris, and it was during this period that he composed his grand polyphonic motet Te Deum (H. 146) in D major. The work is written for a group of soloists, a choir, and an instrumental accompaniment. The piece you just heard is only the prelude, and technically it's known as a rondeau.

Slaap wel.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

A Merry Christmas to all our readers of good will!

The Nativity by John Singleton Copley, one of colonial America's greatest painters. Curiously, just prior to the great turmoil that would severe America from the mother country, he moved to England to establish his fame there and eventually become a member of the Royal Academy.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Arctic Monkeys with R U Mine?

British indie rock band, formed ten years ago in Sheffield. Frontman is Alex Turner. R U Mine is from 2012, so stop pretending I'm out of touch. Although next week I plan to smear your evening bread with Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704). Fond of baroque yes I am.

Goede nacht. Soon I'll have some more time to put up better posts.

SATURDAY NIGHT XTC, VERUCA SALT.

Sorry for the long hiatus, but I've been thru some really rough times lately. Now it's time to pick up the thread again.

XTC with Senses working overtime.

One of the very first new wave bands. Formed in 1976 in Swindon, although the core members, Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding, had been working together in other bands since 1972.

Veruca Salt with Seether.

Veruca Salt, named after the spoiled girl from in Roald Dahl's 1964 Charlie and the chocolate factory children's book, formed in Chicago in 1993. Guitarist/vocalist Louise Post, active since then, is the band's only constant member. I still think Seether, their first release, is still their best hit.

Nite.

THE AMERICAN DREAM AS EXPLAINED BY BILL WHITTLE.

Via David Horowitz TV, Bill Whittle:

Naturally, all of this is Preaching to the Choir. For the 37-year old grandpa (not that he ever looked after his offspring) who's eyeing the fourteen year old hottie in East St Louis or for Sean Penn acolytes, Bill Whittle could just as well be speeching on one of Jupiter's moons. The value of Whittle's message is that it reaffirms in a very eloquent way our conservative core beliefs and values, which are now more actual than ever.

And if you need even more ammo to make your case against the loony left, try this: Alan Caruba on Obama's war on the middle class and ultimately, America's economy itself. And even that is not all:

"... Writing recently on her Fox Business blog, Gerri Willis spelled out the huge rise in taxes Americans are facing. “All told, next year, total taxes will go to almost 50% for the middle class; the very group that the president says he wants to protect. That means 50 cents out of every dollar earned has to go to the government. Half of everything will go to an entity that didn't earn that money, and shouldn't be entitled to all that dough.”

What kind of madness is it that the Teamsters union would impose such senseless rules that it would weaken Hostess to the point of bankruptcy, preferring to let the company die rather than to protect the jobs of 18,500 bakers? Other unions are engaged in attacks on a weakened economy. What kind of nation is it that its government employees are lobbying Congress to not only increase their pay, but to exempt them from the impact of the spending cuts scheduled to kick in?

There is a full-scale attack on the privacy Americans have taken for granted, protected by the fourth Amendment that says “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…”

On November 14th, the Heritage Foundation asked “Do you trust the government with your computer?” The government has had “13 breaches and failures of its own cybersecurity just in the last six months.” Even so, “the President and his allies in the Senate are pushing forward to regulate America’s cyber-doings, without any clues about how much this will cost or how it will work.”

“It has become the norm with this President—if Congress fails to accomplish his objectives, he goes around it with executive orders and federal regulations. He’s doing it again. Congress did not pass the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 before the election, so the President has issued a draft of an executive order to put much of that legislation in place without lawmakers voting.”

This is the very essence of tyranny and the President has had four years to perfect it. Are conservative think tanks the only ones paying any attention? It would appear so.

A new proposed law in the Senate would strip Americans of any privacy as they communicate with one another by email. A vote for the law would allow warrantless access to American’s email and is scheduled for a vote shortly. It would allow 22 federal agencies as well as state and local law enforcement to access one’s emails with nothing more than a subpoena. This is totally unconstitutional.

Already $16 trillion in debt, the government is looking for ways to take over the $3 trillion that is held in private retirement plans such as 401(k) plans and IRA’s. A recent hearing by the Treasury and Labor Departments addressed the nationalization of the nation’s pension system. The director of the National Senior’s Council, Robert Crone, warns “It is clear that this is the first step towards a government takeover. It feels just like the beginning of the debate over health care and we all know how that ended up.”

As we move closer to an Electoral College vote confirming Obama’s reelection, whistleblowers are coming forth in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere to reveal that significant voter fraud was a contributing factor, but it receives little or no media coverage. One must ask how 99% of votes in Philadelphia districts went to Obama and ask why nothing is being done to investigate this and other offenses such as the 141.1% of the vote recorded in Florida’s St. Lucie County. That is statistically impossible, but it robbed Rep. Allen West (R) of his seat in Congress.

This isn’t government. It is gangsterism. It is “the Chicago way.”

The monster Homeland Security Agency just graduated its first class of FEMA Corps, kids aged 18-24, recruited from the President’s Americorps volunteers, that will become a full time, paid standing army. Fears of FEMA camps abound and in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, people seeking shelter and food were herded into one that resembled a concentration camp of the Nazi regime and told not to use various means of communication to contact the media or outside community. They went from hurricane victims to prisoners of the government.

In so many ways, the freedoms protected by the U.S. Constitution are in danger of disappearing along with the separation of powers it requires.

Little wonder that citizen’s petitions from a growing number of states are called for secession. Or that governors are refusing to set up the Obamacare exchanges required by a law that has taken control of twenty percent of the nation’s economy; their budgets held hostage to Medicaid.

On an individual level, people who have jobs are fearful of losing them. College graduates are fearful of the huge debt they carry for the loans they received. People wonder if they can afford to get married. Married couples fear the cost of having another child. Homeowners fear not being able to pay their mortgages. Seniors fear that their savings won’t last as they live longer.

There is ample reason to fear not only the collapse of the nation’s economy, but the loss of liberty in America."

Sorry for the missing Saturday Night post. Last evening, I was at the home of an American friend who had invited me for Thanksgiving. It got too late.

After having seen and read, over the past few weeks, a tremendous barrage of biased reporting on Belgian TV and in the Belgian press with regards to Israel, the following video offered a welcome other point of view. Not that I needed that.

DAVID GREENFIELD ON THE DEMOCRAT'S POST-FAMILY AMERICA.

FrontpageMag sports a good article by David Greenfield that offers reading material which helps to explain Romney's defeat.

"The Republican Party went into the 2012 elections with a number of handicaps. One of the biggest of these handicaps was that it genuinely believed in a single country defined by the American Dream of family values, hard work and national greatness. The Democratic Party, which scored decisive victories across the country, never believed in any such thing, though its leading lights, like Obama, occasionally paid lip service to the idea as a sop to older white voters who would have been turned off by the 2012 version of Obama sounding like the 2002 version of Obama.

Where the Republican Party thought to bring out a national movement, the Democratic Party relied on a coalition of interest groups with little in common except for a dependency on the government and an outsider’s cultural antipathy to the Republican Party.

While the Republican Party still aspires to a vision of a single America, the Democratic Party pulls the strings of a broken America, a disassembled collection of hostile and suspicious groups protecting their own turf in post-American multicultural urban and suburban wastelands. This broken country of lost souls, fractured families and makeshift tribes is the Democratic Party’s base.

The Democratic Party is defined by the broken family in the same way that the Republican Party is defined by the family. It is a refuge for minority groups where fatherlessness leads to single mothers and government dependency and for white middle-class Julia types who use government dependency as a substitute for parental dependency.

Family defines continuity. Enough families taken together form a community. The common culture of the community is a multi-generational heritage that shapes the identities of their children. Take away the family and you have rootless individuals looking for tribes to affiliate with, clumping in artificial groups based on some common characteristic and economic interest. And that is the Democratic Party.

Take away the family and millions of seniors have no recourse for their needs and even their survival, but to turn to the government. Take away the family, and single mothers raising children on their own have to turn to the government. Take away the family and children no longer look to their parents to help them get a start in life; they look to the government. Take away the family and you take away identity. You take away everything that makes us a country and a people.

Take away the family and you have ghettoes where men prowl, leaving behind the children of different mothers, and the mothers of those children wait in line to cash their welfare checks. Take away the family and a generation of boys and girls wait in public housing to repeat the same cycle where the rite of passage is a prison sentence for boys and a prenatal exam for girls.

At the middle class level, parents no longer count on their children to take care of them when they grow old and children no longer count on their parents to pass on an inheritance to them. Marriage and children become an expense, not a net benefit. Abortion becomes logical when the economic interests of the middle class are no longer tied to having children, but to avoiding having children because the only people who benefit from having children are on public assistance. Parents and children become strangers thrown together by biology with no common future holding them together, all too grateful to a government that takes them off each other’s hands.

THEY ALL VOTED FOR OBAMA.

Under such conditions, dependency becomes a way of life. Without the family, individuals affiliate with identity groups that promise to help them get ahead in life. People who have little in common except race or gender affiliate with groups that shape them into artificial collectives based on race and gender, with the promise of economic benefits and outsider solidarity.

The descendants of Southern European immigrants from a dozen countries and multiple cultures begin calling themselves a persecuted racial minority. Women are encouraged to cluster into “sisterhoods.” Men attracted to other men join their own identity group. New identities are constantly discovered and formed. These identities provide no true mutual support and serve as an inferior and artificial substitute for the organic structure of the family...."

Time to ponder. Reflect on strategies. Repackaging our message, sexying it up - without compromising it.

SATURDAY NIGHT RICHARD WAGNER, RANDY EDELMAN.

First Richard Wagner's ouverture of Tannhauser, his opera in three acts centered around the historical personage of Tannhauser, a medieval Minnesaenger and poet.

The soundtrack of the movie Gettysburg (1993), by film music composer Randy Edelman, contains some memorable pieces. The score starting at about 2:24 deserved further development. It accompanies General Buford, commander of the 1st Division, the Cavalry Corps, riding past the Selinary and spotting beyond it the temporarily retreating Confederate troops, probably Pettigrew's division.

Good night.

US. THE WHITE ELITE. HOW TO WIN?

The disastrous news of the Romney/Ryan defeat was only one reason, though probably the main reason, of my light blogging over the past weeks. There's been, too, the terrible electoral loss of my party, the Vlaams Belang, in Belgium's municipal elections on October 14. To top it all off, I have been suffering from serious health-related problems that have been going on for almost three months now, and which may only now, very slowly, begin to grow somewhat easier to bear.

Anyway... I too, have been pondering long and hard about the reason, or reasons, why an creature of smoke and mirrors which sprang up from nowhere, brought an absolutely void and worthless message, and had a devastating effect on the US's economy, not to mention its standing in the world and its defence... was able to win a second term. And win it hands down.

Maybe I should not be so surprised. Have I not seen how Spain's Zapatero, after grounding Spain's economy to a sputtering halt in 2004, got re-elected easily, only to finish his work so completely that he left Spain with a staggering 25 per cent unemployment rate... for starters?

And have I not seen in my own country how the Walloon Parti Socialiste has turned Belgium's south in an economic quagmire, casting perhaps half the population in abject poverty and humiliating state dependency, only to be stronger than ever in the ballot box? Even to the point of delivering one of its icons, an openly gay communist, for Belgian PM?

It looks like I will have to adjust to the fact that while the ideal of fending for yourself, of leading a productive life, of holding high ideals like labor ethic, honor, truth, of living according to conservative rules, appeals to me, it just doesn't seem to appeal to a huge majority of people... especially people of color (though there is some hope yet for certain categories of Asians).

I was reminded of these thoughts when I came across this article:

A compelling article over at American Thinker: The Big Tent is empty.

"The day after amnesty is passed, a common response from the Latino community will be, "Thanks suckers. We'll never forget what racists you Republicans always were. Now, where is my handout?" All of the Republicans' soaring rhetoric about the creative power of capitalism and the moral imperative to limit government -- this is nothing but hot air to the hungry mouth that stands to benefit from a fatter Nanny State and the cuckold Uncle Sam. Immigrants, for whatever reason, are predisposed towards state largesse; 43 percent of immigrants who have been in the U.S. for more than 20 years are using welfare benefits. 57% of Mexican immigrants are on some form of welfare, compared with 6% of immigrants from the United Kingdom. It's an equally troubling fact that these immigrants are being indoctrinated in public schools. Liberals are cultivating hostility towards free markets and individual accountability, and they have found willing allies in the form of poorly educated, impoverished immigrants. Contrary to mainstream conservative wishful thinking, Hispanics do not become significantly more conservative as they move into the economic mainstream. Even Cuban young people are turning away from the conservative voting patterns of their forefathers here. Like blacks, Hispanics adopt the oppression fantasies of their indoctrination, and carry that ideology into the middle and upper class. Their racial solidarity has fused with a political ideology of liberalism, together fueling a monstrous expansion of the welfare state. These are patterns of behavior that can be observed and measured..."

Well then, here's another thruth.

We conservatives, and especially white conservatives, are better. We are stronger, smarter, tougher.

And we cannot allow liberals and their misguided acolytes among people of inferior cultures to ruin our homelands.

How do we turn the tide however, when we are clearly a minority, and even a shrinking minority at that?

Time to ponder.

In the meantime, we can and should at least prepare for ourselves and our loved ones to create our own personal strongholds to whither the coming storms.

THE END OF THE OBAMA NIGHTMARE?

Over at American Thinker, Stella Paul is apparently convinced that the Obama Nightmare is almost over:

"If you're reading this, you've almost made it through the Obama years. God knows it hasn't been easy holding on this long. If you're like me, there were days you felt as if you'd aged ten years, just trying to bitterly cling to your leaky life raft. Maybe you're one of the 23 million Americans who are unemployed, under-employed, or who have given up looking for work. Who can blame you for despairing, when two-thirds of the jobs in the last four years have gone to new immigrants, many of them illegals? But don't worry if, like one out of six Americans, you're sinking into poverty -- after all, Obama assures us that "the private sector is doing fine." Maybe you or someone you love is serving in our military. Your lives have been endangered by Obama's disastrous rules of engagement, with 70% of the fatalities in Afghanistan occurring during his term. Every day, you wake up to a commander-in-chief so indifferent to your needs that he let four American heroes die, unaided, in a seven-hour terror attack in Benghazi. Making matters unbearably worse, he watched the assault live. But, rest assured, Obama thinks you make "a pretty good photo op," even if your slaughter is "not optimal."

Or perhaps you lost the business you started with your blood, sweat, and tears, or that your family had nurtured for generations. Like Bill's Barbecue, an 82-year-old local institution in Richmond, Virginia, you had to fire all your hardworking employees, disappoint your loyal customers, and shut the doors for good. If you owned one of 200,000 small businesses that vanished between 2008 and 2010, wiping out more than three million jobs, Obama won't be sending you a sympathy card anytime soon. After all, the ex-community organizer preaches, "... you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

Are you a doctor who worries about losing your medical practice when ObamaCare roars into full effect? You spent your youth studying and taking on massive debt for medical school so you could dedicate your life to helping others. Now, facing 2,700 pages of ObamaCare regulations, you're one of 360,000 physicians who plan on "leaving their practice or taking an early retirement" if ObamaCare stands. That's 45% of working doctors! Of course, Obama won't be sorry to see you go. This is the guy who claims that "... doctors would rather take out tonsils than treat a sore throat because it pays better" and "... doctors would rather cut off legs for $50,000 than take care of a diabetic before it got to this point."

The casualties, the miseries, the torments add up. One and a half million senior citizens losing their homes to foreclosure...half of college graduates can't find full-time jobs...net worth of families plunging 40%...the ratio of new food stamp recipients to new net jobs skyrocketing to 75 to 1...violent crime up by 18%...America's credit rating downgraded for the first time in history.

And at the center of our nightmare lurks the peculiar character now residing in the people's house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. We can see him only through his media-induced saintly glow -- yet we have come to know him all too well. He shimmers before our disbelieving eyes, a self-described piece of "eye candy" with dead fish hands, framed by Greek columns.

The grieving father of slain Benghazi hero Tyrone Woods described meeting Obama at Andrews Air Force Base, when his son's casket arrived from Libya. "Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish. His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye, his eyes were over my shoulder...I could tell that he was not sorry. He had no remorse."

Several days after the casket ceremony, Obama materialized on The View to modestly proclaim he was there just as "eye candy." The ladies on The View swooned, but the American people turned away in disgust. Their dream of hope and change had morphed into a nightmare. And now, their passionate new dream was to stampede to the voting booth on November 6 and vote the nightmare over.

Predictably, now that Obama is fated to vaporize like a bad dream, the ugliness behind his persona is swarming to the forefront. His followers threaten us with violence in expensive campaign commercials that degrade anyone who sees them. Their images are explicitly nightmarish: zombies who will eat our flesh, old people who will castrate us for eternity. Bill Maher, who donated one million dollars to Obama's campaign, just warned us, "If you're thinking about voting for Mitt Romney, I would like to make this one plea: black people know who you are, and they will come after you."

I find it so fitting that Obama is ending his reign by exhorting his followers to get "revenge." Right from the start, the smiling messiah was always surrounded by a pulsating aura of violence. "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun," he said. And "my administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks." And "we're going to punish our enemies and reward our friends."

And so, as the date of Obama's electoral humiliation nears, the Twitter-verse is exploding with riot threats. Many of these illiterate curses are echoing the debased language of "Special Adviser to the President" Kareem Dale. Ordinary Americans now worry, with good reason, that violence will be unleashed against us as punishment for waking up from our Hopium illusions.

Whatever happens, be strong and of good courage. The man who set out to "fundamentally transform" the country, accompanied by a wife who had never been proud of America, can no longer hypnotize us into doing his will.

Our long Obama nightmare is almost over. The restoration of the American dream is about to begin."

I will believe it when I see it. I am numb with incomprehension that after 4 years of Epic Failure this creep is still in a neck on neck race.

For God's sake, if you are an American, vote this DISASTER out of the White House.
